  • Hi friend, I have had crohns since 1995. I am now 39 years old. My doctor and I both hate Prednisone so he just started me on Entorcort. You are right about all the medicines. I was on Pentasa for a year and had to take 16 capsules a day. I have had to small bowel resections and had an ostomy bag for a year. I am also on Cimzia which is a once a month injection. It is still too early to tell, but this medicine has put a lot of people in remission. Best of luck to you and just stay positive. RC

  • @RCronier Thank you for your well wishes. I hope the best for you with your cimzia treatment.

  • I just wanted to thank you for posting this, I have just been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease and was feeling pretty hopeless. All the other videos on here related to CD were so depressing and scary. This really gave me a new outlook. I am just starting Asacol as well. Thanks again! p.s. you'd make a great actor, you have a really interesting voice.

  • @SadieDee1 Thanks SadieDee. Being diagnosed with Crohn's isn't the greatest thing but the Asacol should help with your inflammation, especially if you've had really bad symptoms. I plan to talk about my personal experience with crohn's in another video soon, so stay tuned to my channel for that. I wish you the best of luck with your battle with crohn's.

  • i would just like to say that i was also diagnosed with crohns when i was in school just like you in 2006. i am so sorry to hear about your diagnosis for it's a difficult disease to deal with. it's so fickle and you never know when it's going to attack. i was also prescribed asacol, but it didn't work. now i'm on 500mg of pentasa - 9 a day. it's a lot to keep up with but it pays off in the end. it's good to stay positive because it can certainly get you down. <3

  • Thanks for the advice missingpumpkins :-)

One thing I noticed about Crohn's Diease medications is that they come with a lot of the side effects that you may already get from Crohn's..isn't that ironic? It's almost like taking a pill that will give you Crohn's

  • Excellent video on Crohns. So relatable. I almost feel like your telling my story. I've been DX sinced 9/08.

  • Thank you for watching. How have you been holding up since last year?

I briefly mentioned it again in another video of mine called "My Halloweenz Costume" where I mention something for all Crohn's patients to look into. Check it out if when you get the chance.

  • I'm sure you can keep it under control. Just wanted to let you know tht I wish you well.

  • I want to thank you for posting this!

    You have my support.

What matters in this life is more than winning for ourselves. What matters in this life is helping others win, even if it means slowing down and changing our course.

If you need anying pa you know where Im at. =)

  • Aw man, that's sad. You really have a great attitude about this because if it were me, I wouldn't be able to deal. But I'm glad you're strong about this and you'll get through this man. Very inspirational. Again you got my support! ;D
