Saw "Lake Oswego Trombone Suicide" and missed the "Lake" so I thought it was a couple of kids from my band doing the suicide they did after every competition this year.

History repeating itself... Former Laker Band Director Frank Chin had the Laker Marching Band perform this very routine starting in the fall of 1979, yes 1979!! Just one little note though, in 1979 the ENTIRE band including Sousaphones performed it during the eight measure drum solo near the middle of "Gospel John". 30 years later and it still looks FABULOUS! Great job Laker Band! JM - Class of '83

haha, our band*southridge* now has section challenges with a minute of "free time" to basically show off and our mello's did it this last year, amazing with trombones though! too bad our director makes all trombones swithc to baritone for marching.
