How to skin a live black snake

I'm glad I found this video; we have a baby king snake that we got a few weeks ago, and already his first shed only finished halfway. It's nice to see that you can help a snake shed and it won't mind. :) I tend to worry if nothing much goes right with our pets. x3

snake could have had Dysecdysis which is when a snake have a shedding problem, when it can't shed on its own. Now by seeing that snake didn't react too much could show that "he felt good" OR it could show that snake was already weakened because of Dysecdysis so either way, I think this family did the right thing and I don't see why you people are freaking out about it.

I used to do this with my ball python. She used to have really tough sheds and I'd soak her a bit on some warm water and then wrap my hand around her body and run it down the shed, she'd take a deep breath when I got to the itchy parts and wiggle through pulling the skin with off she loved it! and she relaxed so much better after her sheds because of that!

I'm with you guys, once a snake is over it's fear and it gets that people are not out to hurt them, they like any help like any animal does, a rat snake got used to me in a couple of minutes and when I tried to turn him loose he tried to come back up my leg, like pick me up warm hands!! @starsandrockets09 how stupid are you, the snake is shedding which all snakes do. All snakes out grow their skin and must shed every 1-3 months depending what kind of snake and how old he is. They're doing a huge favor for the snake. Like what that guy said, its like trying to scratch an impossible itch without hands or anything.

@JakeReptiles actually my brothers ball python loves it when we help it shed its skin, it will not move at all and just let us do it. sometimes they have problems getting it off. it doesn't hurt. its just dead skin.
