And further more most anti-gay Christians I know are loving and want to help people, even if it comes off as "evil repenting". AND they were raised strictly that way. My dad tries so hard to accept but doesn't. But he's going out of his box really far, and it's the effort that counts.

I believe marriage is an institution of love. If two people love each other, they should be allowed to get married, gay or straight. Having said that, I think Miss California should have won this competition. Perez asked her a completely unfair question, and she's entitled to her opinion. She actually worded her answer very well, and it's a shame that people can't see that.

In my personal opinion, getting married is between two people, committing to each other, that they want to be together. And everyone should be allowed to marry whoever they love. I acknowledge the fact that racism is still a big problem in the U.S. (I'm from Europe), but on some areas, I think homophobia is a big problem too. Why can't we accept that people have different opinions? I don't agree with Obama or Miss California, but I respect their point of views..

Although I am a conservative myself, as well as bisexual, I'm still liking what Miss California said from her heart and really hate what Perez did as a response. Though I do believe in same sex marriage, having the concept shoved down the throats of others is not a good approach, and only ends up being used as fodder as Perez has shown.
