Yeah, I remember those wishing for relief feelings when I was working. Now I'm retired and can do what I want and am supported by a money I earned. Only problem, I,m old.
@downsid3up The point is that it IS hand drawn. It's not supposed to look like today's animation. It is the pain-staking hand-drawn and erased animation that makes you think about each and every frame, and about where the animation is going. "Undo" is not possible with this style animation. I have done Flash animation and it's great for what it is, but this style is a study in animation and patience all in itself.
Only feedback would be that the camera work was slightly dodgy. Too jolty and inconsistent, sort of ruined the animation for me - kills the reality. but otherwise the drawing is good.
@sillystupidpeople Thanks for the feedback! It was the first and only of its kind for us - it was in a college course that we made this, and it was only one project. Definitely would change/improve the camera action if I/we were to do another.
Was this by any chance for a class at UW-Madison?? We're doing this exact same project and I'm pretty sure my TA used this as an example to show us what the assignment was.
beautiful. i would like to do the kentridge-esque style. however waht tools would i need to apply to produce this style.. camera? scanner? what program. thanks loads
That was very good! I always thought that little bit of extra lead ruined my picture, but using it as a style of art is awesome. It was really good guys
