Quesstions: (1) why are there Japanese characters on one of the vehicle tags? (2) When did VW go from being a GmbH to an AG? (3) bearing in mind that's a 36-horse engine, could a Bosch 009 (non-vacuum-advance) distributor have been a better choice? (4) is the Solex carburetor a 28PICT? Nice van, BTW!
