lol this was one of the first games i got on ps2. i remember being on this mission 40 mins caus for the first 20 i couldnt figure out how to move lol. before this i played all games with the dpad and this was the first game i ever played that needed a analog stick. good game though but looking back at it now it looks basic as hell lol

@Lukeclooney i am aware this is an old game. my question was why are the graphics inferior to soul reaver 2, even though it came out after soul reaver 2. it turns out this game was not developed by crystal dynamics, but by eidos. which explains its inferior graphics and over all lower production values.

technically this game is the last in the series, the whole main point of the game was to kill the Hylden lord or sarafan lord if you will...Soul reaver and blood omen were both together what lead up to this moment, when they sarafan lord took janos in difiance it lead to younger kain finding him here....so everything is paradoxed and loop hole up to shit.

just look at this game.. i remember a few years ago when i bought this game from some market sales and got addicted to it immediately. this dark, dramatic atmosphere with its dark sky is kinda beautiful =d beginning of this game is like medieval and placed somewhere in england slums.. sometimes when i play this i kinda want to go there =D awesome game, voiceacting is amazing and the one thing which keeps me playing this is beutifully dark and sad atmosphere. 5* ! thx for uploading !

I thought it was a headache for me to keep up with all the shattered paradoxical histories in the Legacy of Kain games, starting with the first one, the spin off Soul Reaver and sequel Soul Reaver 2 and this one too. Cause all the characters constantly change both the past, present and future for their own selfish personal agendas of power and retributions. Thank Odin that Defiance clarified quite nicely in my opinion and aliviated my confusions.
