only if you remove the CATS. if you just take out the mufflers, it wont throw any codes.

if you only remove the mufflers it shouldnt throw any codes. and mufflers have nothing to do with the emissions.

replace the rear mufflers with pipes with a nice set of tips

pretty smart to replace the mufflers with straight pipes. does your state require smog checks? they wont care if you have straight pipes as long as you dont mess with the catalytic converters and the back o2 sensors.
