Miami's last great year. 11-2. We should not have lost this game..I still feel we were a 12-1 team. This game we should have won BUT the following game vs VA Tech we got our asses handed to us so we deserved that loss.

The reason Tennessee won was because they smacked the canes in the mouth all day and won on toughness. Miami still allowed the td drive. I loved being Winslow!!!!!!

The reason Tennessee won this was on an AWFUL call by the refs on a roughing the punter.  It clearly wasn't, but the refs gave the Vols a 1st down kept the drive going, and they went on to score their only TD of the game on that drive, and won by 4.

This was quite surprising to me- not just because it was Miami, but that this was not one of the uber-dangerous Fulmer Tennessee teams I remember.

This was a revenge game for UT. Miami walked into Knoxville and hammered us the year prior to this. Fulmer's team never gave up and always showed heart.

Looking back at it. This was the beginning of the downward spiral for Miami b/c even in 2003 they still had great talent with Winslow, Taylor, Vilma, DJ Williams, Rolle, and others is just that there was that the offense wasn't as consistent as in 02. Coker sucked at putting a gameplan together and couldn't keep the players disciplined with the stupid & unnecessary penalties Miami made that year.

Tennessee fans HATED Clausen when he was there, but he got it done. He wasn't a great quarterback in comparison to the great Tennessee quarterbacks of the past, but he was a winner. He got the job done more often than not, and I always appreciated that. If fans are going to keep waiting for the next Peyton Manning, they'll be waiting a lifetime. Be happy with the players you have and support them. Go Vols!
