  • no reasons to play this song with that kind of ( wes montgomery ) technique, the feeling is totally different.. rather take a pick instead then..

  • @DoumdaDoum i wouldn't really call this a Wes-style technique... Wes used his thumb to strum octaves, and this is a slap technique that is more along the lines of someone like Victor Wooten. Using a pick would make it sound different, yeah.

  • @BenEllerGuitars /watch?v=fXvdU7f-q7I

see he only uses his thumb for picking every strings.

  • @BenEllerGuitars i dont agree saying that is a slapping technique... you really use it for picking the strings more than slapping, in my opinion... check the video of tosin playing throughtly at home at berklee college, thats the wooten technique, check how he moves his thumb, we see the slap, not just waiting there for strumming

  • du think this rea; douglas quaid assholl

  • @Bodycage ...uh....... Total Recall?

  • Only thumb? WTF.

  • @waynesworld91 haha yeah dude! I have really straight thumbs, i feel like it helps a little. I've been working on that technique for a while. I'll post some other vids using it soon.
