  • awesome dude, this will give you an enormous insight and the rest of your career you'll know exactly what people are going through

  • brilliant, baby steps

  • you're a badass bro. Keep up the awesome work. You're doing a good thing.

  • the quality is fine. the info is more important than production quality.

  • Greetings from Brazil!!! =*

  • It's too bad your wife didn't join you on the Fit 2 Fat stage. I hear it's harder for women to lose weight than men. She could have provided the weight loss inspiration for women as you're doing for men.

  • What is your body type?I am a mesomorph myself.

  • Good info on the video- just the basics, no extra fluff.

You will do great! I started my program yesterday with you :)

  • Drew Im sorry for the complaint about the sound effect. Youre doing us a big favor in helping us - we can hear you very clearly and youre very good at motivating us.

    Thank you.

  • Greeting from Germany! You The Man!

I really appreciate your work! This is more than helping yourself or other overweight people... This is almost like "the Messiah is coming back"

You are doing a great job for all of us... If we made it or not... You are a huge INSPIRATION!!! d(^_^)b

  • I can't wait for your transition into being more healthy! I think this documentary could have a real impact across the globe (especially the US) The slow and steady approach to fat loss is ideal for long term health, and I'm glad to see you're not following some fad diet because most people are easily convinced of a quick way to drop pounds.

I think if you continue to update your progress (physical, psychological, and emotional) and small successes you will continue to inspire optimal health!

  • I would suggest watching your introductory video, done as you are starting your road back. It is a prime example of the poor audio quality, and variance of sound output. I think if you hear it yourself, you will be motivated to do something to resolve it. Thanks for doing this.

  • @dgrove21 Ya sorry about that. My wife and I are on a pretty tight budget and our phones are what we use to record videos and lately they just all turn out pretty poor. We're going to splurge and buy something with better quality this week so later this week the videos will probably be much better. Trying to do it on a budget! haha

  • @fit2fat2fit the information is more important than production quality. keep up the good work drew.

  • good luck, drew! big support from israel!!!!!! :-)

  • please make more regular videos, i want to watch a new video every day!

  • i love coffee(:

  • Bad sound, bad video quality. I can barely hear you in a lot of it.

  • @mrbassman01 Ya sorry about that. My wife and I are on a pretty tight budget and our phones are what we use to record videos and lately they just all turn out pretty poor. We're going to splurge and buy something with better quality this week so later this week the videos will probably be much better. Trying to do it on a budget! haha

  • absolutely Drew!! It's about nutrition, NOT just weight loss

  • I applaud you for what u are doing. Anything that gets people in to working out and eating healthy I'm all for it. But for some people its going to take a little bit longer than 6 months to get the holy grail (abs). But with patience and determination they WILL get those abs. Luck Drew.

  • What you're doing is amazing.

Good luck Drew and good luck to everyone following his diet and exercise plan.

I'll definitely be watching and using this to further improve my own health.

  • 6:22 lol =D ennnjnjy drink ^^

  • Wow man, I hope you get back in shape before 6 months! You're getting bigger everyday bro!

  • I love everything that you are doing and cant wait to see results. I do have to say, you need a tripod for your camera. (;

  • Good Luck man ((:

  • This is a big time inspiration bro. I'm currently 6'2 253 lbs.... trying to get down to 180 lbs... started my plan on tuesday of this week. started out at 257... I will continue to follow your progress closely.

  • Funny think is that i found you on epicmeal time video

  • Greetings from The Netherlands. Good Luck!

  • Drew, I think you need to make a big point about Spot Reduction before you get started with the losing so people know.

Just saying here for anyone in the comments: Know that you can NOT lose fat in specific places. You either lose fat all at once or none at all. So know that when you lose weight, if you have spots of fat anywhere, you will not be able to just kill that. I feel it's important to let people know this so they don't get upset or discouraged, or even scared when it happens.

  • I ready let's do this.I have been overweight for 5 years now time to say bye to the weight with your help

  • hey boss you need to check your mike or get of to attach it to your t shirt i cant hear you

  • Let's Do this team Drew !!

  • Greetings from Denmark. - I read about you in the danish newspaper Berlingske Tidende! You're doing a really great job and it's very inspiring! Good luck!

  • Hi

When you get back into weight training will you do a full body routine for the first few months?

  • first off... very nice project this one... really interesting!

i have a question... you say you dont "drink your calories" - can you give some tips as to good drinks (except water) that isn't bad for you :p

i have been drinking ATLEAST 1½ liter of cola for the past few years, and i've been struggeling stopping... not because its so good, but because its so easy... water is great.. but gets VERY boring in the long run, if you dont really drink anything else.

  • @m1ck0n the best way to resolving this is gradually start consuming an alternative. Something preferably not carbonated and is natural in it's sweetness; not using artificials. Once you've start doing that, incorporate more water in your diet, start exercising the 1:1 ratio rule: for every cup of this i drink, i drink the same amount in water. As time goes by your pallet will adjust to the point where drinking things with less flavor, like water, doesn't bother you so much.

  • @TheBongSauce thank you for a great answer :)

  • Greetings From Argentina... Awesome video.

  • O.k. I'm glad that you stressed the importance of changing your eating FIRST before you start exercising becuz so many ppl want to jump right in the exercising stage and continue eating whatever they want to (crazy) however I've seen it all the time. Thank you so much Drew, very intelligent, and I will be following you on my journey.

  • Bro, I am in it with you!! Looking forward for more recipes!

  • Hail Norway! I just found you yesterday, your awesome as hell!

  • Drew,

You're honestly just great. All of the trainers I've seen or known have always kept their routines secret and never share anything with anyone unless there is money involved. But what you are doing benefits everyone. I am a runner, and I think there can never be too much advice so I will go with you in this journey to fitness.

    Lets do this.

  • I am in too! I went grocery shopping yesterday. Nov 5 is my first day :)

  • Yeayyyy I'm going to be super fit, I'm going to score all the time, I'm gona have 6 pack, maybe even 8 pack, uuuu weeeee I'm so excited that I'm already loosing weight with excitement alone ))))))

  • So I'm fairy thin but I have a pot belly is my diet causing this?I dont drink or smoke.

  • I'll be following you and i hope that i see my six packs at the first time in my life :P

  • GOOD LUCK!

i'm glad you stated about changing things up when it's not working....sometimes people get stuck on the thinking that there is only one way of eating to be healthy. but not everyone's bodies are the same! some people have extreme trouble with digesting food(me being one of them). every day is a struggle to try to eat something "healthy" that won't make me feel sick or extremely bloated. so i'm glad you pointed out that what works for you may not work for someone else!

  • So... I'm going to tell MY doctor to take his recommended pills and prescriptions and opinons and shove them up his fuckin ass. Fuck your doctor and fuck his advice. Do you think any general doctor has got some great advice on your health!? fuck no! he's go a great pill for you. That's it! today's doctors can suck my balls!! I'm going to juice fast, and work out like a mad man, then I'm going to go punch my doctor his his ugly ass face!

  • @OliverWitherspoon your'e right on the doctors, but please don't "juice fast" lol. you need to adopt a diet and lifestyle that is *sustainable* long term. check out the paleo diet (robb wolf, mark sisson, etc) instead

  • @awaken69 do yourself a favor and detect your body needs before diving into a random diet.

  • @TheBongSauce haha, you're funny, dude. i'm 42, 10% bodyfat, muscular, and work out only 45min a week on sundays. i did all the stuff you talk about durning the last 20 years.. get a clue first, before you recomend crap to people here.

  • @awaken69 too bad the last 20 years has been uprising of the worse health in history, along with a hundreds of false theories.

  • @TheBongSauce regarding which is the optimal diet for humans.. that's actually very simple, but has been overlooked by most until recetly. answer: the diet that our bodies and genes have evolved to eat during the last 2 million years. it's an interplay between our genetics and our environment. missmatch between our genetics and our food environment = disease and obesity. it's really that simple. research what people ate as hunter gatherers, and you will fix 95% of all modern disease.

  • @awaken69 i agree with that. but education about conventional means doesn't come with the majority diets our there, probably all(even the metabolic typing diet),

  • @TheBongSauce all the concepts like "metabolic typing" or the zone etc. are all overcomplicating it and r not necessary at all. just eliminate the "neolithic agents of disease" (=stuff the body genetically hasn't had time to adopt to completely, like grains and dairy), eliminate all industrially processed foods, and adjust your carb and sugar intake along your actibvity level. most importantly: observe how your body reacts to what you eat and adjust accordingly. simple as that. no doc needed :)

  • @awaken69 I wouldn't go so far to say a doctor isn't needed, but it could help if you truly had issues losing weight. some people have severe gut bacteria imbalance, they need proper meds to adjust it back to normal. if they don't, then their bodies will never properly digest the food they consume.

  • @awaken69 Thanks for your exchange here with TheBongSauce. I've learned a lot from both of you, and I appreciate that.

  • @LeftCoastBias44 glad we could help. all the best to you :)

  • @OliverWitherspoon Not all doctors are whores to BigPharma. If you watched the previous clip with the doctor, he actually said there is no pill that can make you magically thin and healthy. What's needed is a lifestyle change. That means diet and exercise.

  • @cybersphere but there are sum issues that diet and exercise can't fix, unfortunately.

  • i just watched your week 1 video for the heck of it. and it's like wow! completely different person. but good luck on the journey back to fit!

  • "working with your doctor" is BS. 99% of all doctors have no freaking clue about proper nutrition, a la paleo, for example. just eat real, unprocessed food, eliminate all grains and sugars, limit omega-6 fats, and you don't need any stinkin' "doctor". or, in two words: go paleo :)

  • @awaken69 hmm.. the problem is that doctors will do general/standard studies and say you're good to go. which is why you need to inquire about the right things, possible underlying problems eg. adrenal stress, and hit up multiple doctors; including a dietician.

  • @TheBongSauce to the contrary. if you a "registered dietician" you pretty much already have los, because they are obliged by law to adhere to the official US food pyramid, which is very high-carb and low-fat, which is exactly the opposite of what you want as an obese and pre-diabetic person, trust me. why do you think 66% of americans are obese? because the official nutritioal recommendations are working so well and all fat people are sloths? yeah, right.. read robb wolf, mark sisson, etc..

  • @awaken69 i was referring to the proper studies needed to determine your current health level. When it comes to food, that's a whole other ball game. you can't trust any doctor these days it seems. the person needs to engage in modern health and food studies to figure out what's right for them.

  • @TheBongSauce and what would be the benefit of "assessing your current health level"? find that you're overweight and have all the related complications. wow, shocker. what will be the conlcusion? "you need to loose weight" wow, another shocker. save your time and money, and just make sure you go into the right direction from now on. all else will fall into place, including your lab results. it's that simple. another tip: watch the "fat head" movie

  • @awaken69 heard of celiac disease? how do u fix an under functioning thyroid? there are handful of useful things the doctors could help asses for those that don't know how to do themselves.

  • @TheBongSauce i am gluten sensitive (systemic auto-immunity against gluten) and have celiac. hashimoto is 90% caused by gluten sesnitivity. if you go off gluten, you will fix all this. read up on gluten senistivity and paleo auto-immune protocol. that's why i said go off all grains (that's a prime directive in the paleo diet, for exactly this reason. gluten provokes systemic infflammation and auto-immunity in about 70% of the population)

  • @awaken69 I for laying off grains, no doubt about that. but what I commented about was the fact that genetically everyone dietary needs are different, which is why you can't just recommend said diet and say it's the best. you got this new DASH diet reigned as the best diet today. but why is that? maybe because it caters to the mass majority of people, but i doubt the diet itself educates about organic vs conventional.

  • i am sooooo pumped! ready for this :) thanx sooo much for the insperation!

  • Hey from Denmark.. :) I think the idea is crazy, but also ingenious.. ;)

Thumbs up, ad good luck.. I will definitely follow you.. ( side by side with my own project for ideas )

  • From Seattle im on bored inconjuction with P90x. Leggggo!!!!!!!

  • Thanks man, i'll be doing all of this while i do p90x, im going to try to adjust them both.

  • Calorie counting? really.. seriously.

  • i think what your doing is awesome and i want you to know there will be atleast 1 guy from Utah doing this with ya and lets hope im not the only one

  • I think this is really great what you are doing. I have always wanted to see someone who is overweight already go through a diet and exercise routine and lose weight. I see representative for different weight loss programs say that they already lost weight, I don't know that?

  • calorieking is also very useful

  • Hey, if anyone has an Android, there is an app called DietPoint. It gives you many suggestions on different diets for your specific needs.

  • Good Luck man! and thanks :)

  • Good luck, Drew!
