  • Dang how did you get so lucky to find that nice of a bike for 4000? Thats around my budget and I cant find anything decent for that price

  • Awesome bike!!! I have a couple questions what riding gear do you wear and where do you get all those lights?

  • Good review. Your voice is very calming :P

  • @Quatokamikasi GAAAYYY!!!!

  • Good video. Should of left out the music. Spoils it

  • when u sat on the 250r how did it feel im 6'4'' im gonna look at them but just wanna hear some thoughts before i do go, i want the 250 for the same thing school work home but how did it feel

  • @TheCarlos4398 I am 6'1" and one of my friends used to have one. its kinda like sitting on a really big peddle bike. lol. it is very light and nimble compared to a lot of 600's but considering your size, you are going to out grow the bike very fast.

  • Used for 5000 miles? As in 50.000 kilometres.. that's a lot! Does this bike give a lot of problems to you?

  • @shox91 No. More like 8,000 Kilometers. I had no problems for the time that I had it.

  • What type of handbars are those

  • @Amnax Sporty bar. They were made custom.

  • sick price and sick bike. Btw what is the first song in the video? It's hot.

  • @rhymes116 Lecrae "Blow Your High"

  • Dope!

  • @WinTheNorth

No way, as in it'll be fine?

  • @presidentchell Because you said you wanted to spend $4k, you ended up spending $4.2k so assuming you didn't had any more money left, you're riding without any gear. But I guess if you had the extra cash to make some mods on it I assume you bought gear as well.

  • @1775edde I actually bought all of my gear before I bought the bike. I knew I was going to buy a bike but I didn't know which one just yet.

  • The bigger question is, were you a beginner rider when choosing the 650 over the 250?

  • @305Alpha Yes.

  • @305Alpha I had only been riding for one day when I bought it.

  • @presidentchell Okay... Good, now I know to get the 650R. Cuz the other day I went to my local dealership and I was really eyeying the 2012 650R, which i like it's new model. I wasn't to sure if I should just jump on the 650. So he was like I should, most beginners use to start off with 600cc's before they even made 250 bikes. So I was like okay, plus the price is fair, like forget the super sport, it's cost way too much.

  • @305Alpha Get a clue yungster. 250cc and 350cc bike's were on the market long before 650's.

  • @PeterDad60 Okay.. I didn't know that!

  • @305Alpha Yours was a good response. Especiall since I used the condoncending term "get a clue yungster". You showed maturity. I appologise for my words now.

Anyway, just think about it. Everything always starts small and then evolves into something bigger. Motorcycles were on the roads even a little eairlier than 1903. Have a great day 305Alpha!

  • Lol I'm 6'8. 160Lbs. Too big for a 650? I think a tad ;)

  • @Asakwah 6 foot 8 and 160? No way.

  • @xSWlMx

    I assume you're a poser

  • how much were the underglows?

  • @zworldwarfare $50 for 6 light strips.

  • im 6" 3 , 85 kg, lanky kinda build would ninja 250 be to cramped for me ? ive sat on one felt alright but im going to be riding to work which is 1 and half hour ride away whats any ones thoughts ?

  • @phans12 im 5"10 and my zzr600 fits me very nicely i would not recommend a 250 though

  • I am in the exact same situation that you were in man

  • would i be to small for a 250? I'm 5'10 145 pounds. Im getting one within the next week or so. i dont wanna get a 250 if its to small for me. thanks!

  • @TheDarkestWorlds You should be good.

  • @TheDarkestWorlds Probably not. I'm 5'7" and the Ninja 250 feels like it was made for me. You might be a little cramped. Go sit on one. One thing to consider is the 250 is 65 lbs. lighter and much cheaper than the 650. Lighter is more fun in motorcycles.

  • la moto esta buenisima pero la musica esta de la mierda

  • I was wondering would a Ninja 250r be to small for someone who is 5`11?

  • what song is that .....who is the artest

  • @cdd7012 Lecrae

  • Love this bike.. Got the same one in black :) except i paid 4200, with 740 miles on it. Guess I didn't realize how good of a deal it really was until now lol...

  • @BuiltToSpill10 Really good deal!!!

  • You found that bike in LA?

A GREEN 2009 ninja 650 is EXACTLY what I'm looking for... and you got it for dirt cheap! Low miles too. I am terribly jealous.

    sports bars...

    exhaust...

    eliminator...

    so SO jealous!!

    Then you get rid of it );

  • Wtf? do you have a sore throat? Take a Halls before recording

  • here's why I chose this bike over the 250: I upgraded the tires. I installed the LED glow. I got a new exhaust

  • This would be better without the rap music

  • You answered my question and I didn't even have to ask. I'm 6'2 and 220lbs myself. Thanks for the info, I enjoyed the video.

  • I have the 2010 250R and bought it used with only 200 miles on it for 2900 and loved it.

  • @luisloks fukn niice deal holy shit

  • @austvseries U will look really small on it. The 250r is ur best bet

  • @naymlezwun I do. Check my other vid

  • @BurtonGuster1 definately not... im 16 and i just got my 2011 Ninja 250r and its a great bike.. i rode a 650r and it is way too much bike for me now... just get a nice used 250r for a while then upgrade after a year or 2

  • you sound like your falling asleep bro.

  • nice bike but whats with the stupid effin rap music nigger?

  • @oscar6418 its not rap. its actually classified as holy hip-hop. its a form of christian rap. A guy by the name of Lecrae and Flame.

  • Bro, your voice is insane..You should rap or something..Its way smooth lol or a sports commentator. Nice bike too

  • I'm 4"11. Can I ride this?

  • in EUROPE. yes it ER6f. BUT its Ninja 650r in america or japan?

    it the same bike . Ninja 650r = ER6f

  • @mikodelick get the 600cc you'll hate yourself after a week of riding a Low powered bike. My first bike ever was a cbr600 and i taught my gf on my 600cc stunt bike and she learned fast. And a stunt bike is hard to learn on

  • hey man i wanna buy a bike soon but i was going for a 600 ninja but its my first bike but im about 5'11 and 270 roughly

  • pues x q tenia como comprar la 650

  • Thaat's an ER-6f not a ninja 650r.

  • @MatthewTuckerEnt

i have a 2012 250r and i love it i take it to college and work and have had two up on it. it will do all that and more.

  • yay

  • @MatthewTuckerEnt Definetely a 250 at your height and weight

  • I bought a 250R and I frequently park near a 650R in town and meh, I just couldn't ride something that ugly :( - maybe it's just me, but I think the 650R looks like a boring practical commuter and the 250R looks like a super bike. I'm constantly asked about my 250R and nobody even looks at the 650R I park next to.

I mean the rear shock, the single seat, the silver frame peaking through the fairings, the bug face, the bicycle handle bars, the old school tail light setup, the windscreen, no thanks

  • I have the 250 version of this bike and for all engine mods apart from exhaust such as K&N filter, stage 2 jet kit and a 288cc 13.0.1 big bore kit it would only come to £350 :P

  • Thanks for the vid man, thinking of upgrading to one of these bikes, I'm liking your one :) Ride safe

  • Would this bike be good for a first bike?

  • @BurtonGuster1 every and i mean EVERY experienced street biker will tell you NOT to go with a 600 as a 1st bike… the 600 has too much power and weighs too much for a beginner that has never stepped onto a bike… its an accident waiting to happen

  • @01Commenter10 The 650r was my first bike. It wasn't too much for me. Caution is the key word.

  • Comment removed

  • @01Commenter10 i think you are confusing 650s with 600s. this 650 is a inline twin, the 600 is a inline four. 600s are meant for track/ racing and therefore will be more powerful than the more economical 650.

  • @01Commenter10 I agree with this except for the part about them weighing more, my first bike was a GS500F and it weighed more than all my friends 600s....

  • @BurtonGuster1 I got a cheap-o ninja250 '89 for $700 and rode it till I found a better bike for a good deal. I liked having the 250's low power to gain some valuable experience, and it was very forgiving if I misjudged something. I think you should go with something small, old, and used to learn. I did upgrade to the ninja650r, but I do appreciate all the time I spent on my 250.

I always do recommend starting low, and working your way up. (I just wouldn't spend the $4000 on a new 250r.)

  • I think you need a cough sweet.

  • @MatthewTuckerEnt depends on the size of girls lol

  • could you please tell me where did you get this handlebar? i really need to know thanks!

  • 116 PRAISE HIM!!!!! Nice Bike!

  • Mad props for having Christian rap in the video that's some real music.

  • i like this 09 650 better then the new 2012 650, the 2012 has all those lines and indents and its just looks like too much this is nice easy on the eyes , i guess its a matter of personal taste

  • @eddiea6987 would deffinately get a seal cowl because that lonng seat is ugly unless you really need the back seat

  • Comment removed

  • nice bike

  • The magic of craigslist

  • And does it hit the windscreen when you turn all the way left or right?

  • Could you please tell me where did you get this handlebar? Thanks!

  • really like what you did with it, I didn't know you could get aftermarket bars, they look good, I always hated the stock 650 bars.

  • What year is that?

  • lush bike mate cant wait to get a kawasaki ninja

  • @MatthewTuckerEnt

The 250 is a fine starter bike but just about anyone will outgrow it and want to sell within a few months unless your only use is in the city /non-highway where you don't care as much about acceleration past 60MPH. On the plus side you can buy a used 250, play with it, then turn around and sell it for about what you paid but I wouldn't put any money into upgrading one.

  • what kind of under glow kit is that? what is it called?

  • Thats sick ! underglow .. how muuch did u drop

  • also with the 250r you will learn faster compared to those on the 600cc SS bikes. you will be a better rider because you will have to learn to carry your speed through corners and push your bike harder. all new riders should ride a 250cc bike for at least a year to gain experience and really learn to ride. so after a year you can move up to a bigger bike and be able to out ride those morons who went straight for the 600cc SS. you had to learn to go faster they just turned the accelerator.

  • if your a new rider and think you can out grow a 250 in a few months your full of shit and anyone who tells you this is full of shit. you should never get 600cc SS bike for your 1st bike because they are race bikes with lights and a plate. now the 650r is ok but its better to get a 250r because its highly likely you will drop your bike in the 1st year.

  • i bought a 250 and its only been 2 months and im already trying to save up money to upgrade

  • Bad ass voice, brotha! Thanks for the advice.

  • Im getting my first street bike soon and debating between the 250 and 650..everyone says how the 250 is a great starter bike but ive been riding dirt bike for over 10 years and was wondering if those skills would transfer over and i can just hopto the 650? im 5'8 130 pound so ya..

  • @getsome0009 yea. u can just go for the 650r. its not a inline 4 ss.

  • @getsome0009 get the 650, the 250 is too slow,

  • give me this bike :O

  • love the lighting,

  • I hear lecrae don't I? :D

  • What handlebars are those? they're similar shape to clip ons but they're a full bar i really like them!

  • You i went the same route you went.. Couldnt think to buy anything else but a brand new 2012 ninja 250r but i found an all black 650r for 4,200 as well & i couldnt pass it up.. But if anyone wants a 250r dont listen to people saying not to buy it.. I still want a 250r after i pay for the 650, just for fun!

  • for reals. Best ninja video on youtube!

  • Seriously the underglow lights ruins the bike, get HID lights (tail and front) though.

  • so clean, whats the top end on that like? i wanted one like yours but got a deal on a honda919 which was 900cc opposed to the 650. ive gotten to 165 before, and can reach 150 without much problems.

but you bike is really clean

  • Song name?

  • did you paint the windscreen on the inside? it looks pimp. Where can i get that remote setup for the lights or is that part of the alarm?

  • for the extras put into this ur at zx6r money

  • Not even close. All the mods combined were less than $1,000 and the bike only costed me $4,200.

  • @presidentchell Here in my country teh 250 r costs about 16,000 and the 650r about 26,000..

    make me sick =/

  • @MatthewTuckerEnt Either will work. I guess it all comes down to how much to you want to spend. More money will buy you more power. But both bikes are great.

  • Ain't that ER-6F?

  • @KDumles Yes.

  • @KDumles Same bike, different name depending on where you live. In the UK it's called er6f

  • @vstar707 I think you'll be fine with a 250 I weigh 185 and I ride a 250 and it rides fine. And it's perfect bike to learn on. Just upgrade in a year.

  • I forgot, get your seat customized by a upholstery technician. I spent $120 to have my seat customized. I will put vids up of my bike.

  • I got a 2011 650r brand new.... First bike, highly recommended. My second bike will be a hyabusa or Ducati 999.

  • you sound alot like Slug from atmosphere.

  • I'm 6 foot 200 lbs is the ninja 250r a good choice and a good beginner bike for me?

  • @VStar707 Its good starter bike even with 6 foot and 200-240lbs if you are tight on budget, if not why don't you get Suzuki SV650s or Ninja 650r. I had SV650S and then switched to Ninja 650R with low miles on it. Can not say anything bad about these bikes I'm 5 11 210lbs

  • @ramiks13 i would love to get a 650r but its mostly the money that is the problem

  • @VStar707 Buy one used like I did.

  • @VStar707 Sure. But I think you would like it a lot more if you were a bit smaller. You might quickly out grow it if you base it on looks. Economy wise, it can't be beat.

  • your bike is sexy as hell, love the upgrades.

  • @Earlosaur- i started on a 650r without the course and absolutely no motorcycle experience and i'm really glad it was my first bike. I had some rough moments but i'm riding it like a pro now and never wrecked or laid it over

  • perfect bike to start out since 400cc isnt available there.

  • Man! I Love the lights. Sweet

  • way cool, I wanna get a 650R just need the money lol, either that or an er6n, was this bike your first?

  • @stephenmsanchez005

i just bought the ninja 650r 2 days ago for my first bike, it is such an insane bike with way more power than you think, but its easily controlled. its really easy to ride, and personally i'd take the ninja 650r over the er6n (which i did)

  • i want this bike.

  • @KYLEmann35 Not sure if you got an answer but here it goes (my 2 cents): a 250r is more then fine ! if you don't do to much highway BUT go and sit on it first...because i'm 6'2'' and 210 lbs and because of that (even do a 250 engine would have been enough) i didn't like the height of the 250 nor the 400 or 650...i went with a 1000 (ninja 2011) just because of the seat's height. Again i'm in Canada we might not have all the same models. Good luck with your purchase ! (PS:400 and 650 is the same)

  • nice bike ,,,,

  • how much did you pay for the underglow and how hard was it to install?

  • @hoppinhippy $50. Not too hard.

  • I love this bike, but the only problem I have is how the seat goes all the way to the end. Can you buy a solo seat?

  • @poomasterfu Not really. They have a cover for the back but it looks ugly. I felt the same way.

  • how many miles per gallon does it get?

  • @nathanielkowal 49!!!

  • You can ride with underglows where I live. You just can't have red or green. They allow blue which is weird to me, but it's whatever.

  • how much did all your modifications cost?

  • @KYLEmann35 If you simply need transportation, I say go for it. But if you want transportation and the fun factor (and the cool factor) I would look into the 650r. Being 6'4 you would look very big in the 250r, unless you installed some clip-ons.

  • 4k on craigs list? DAYUM...thats the price for a brand new 250.

  • would you suggest the 650r if i'm basically a complete beginner? after motorcycle safety course completed

  • @Earlosaur That's what I did.

  • wow nice man 4k for that bike was a complete steal.

    I got an 07 650r used with 3k miles for 4k.

I got the cb Twobrothers upgrade also and i don't regret it. gave it a beefy sound over the stock.

  • @MrGeo69 Did you install the pipe yourself? Did you have to do anything addtional to it. I installed a 2 brothers also and I'm disliking it. I think it sounds crappy and it's not running right, I think... it backfires. Did you have to remap it?

  • @crazybanshee74 I installed it myself. It sounded great. It does backfire but all pipes on bikes do. This one on the 650r backfires louder because its a twin engine and fires unevenly. That is why it sounds louder than my zx6r (which also has a twobros pipe.)

  • Do the lower bars cause any problems when turning, like your hands hitting the fairings or anything? I like the look of the lower bars but not sure if the 650r fairing would be friendly to them.

  • @kurre7 No they didn't interfere with turning at all. They did put a little dent in the gas tank.

  • @presidentchell I really want a bike but I live in a town house, no garage and there's stairs so no way to put the bike in the house. No pole to tie it to, I'm worried that someone will load it in their truck and drive off. Any advice?

  • @ebradahusla I live some apartments as well. Check the video, it is recorded in the parking lot. I bought a break lock and motorcycle cover for it and I've never had any problems.

  • 650s are very nice cruising bikes. They're great on gas, you have decent power, but not too much. Its great on the highway, but like a 600, they tend to get very hot if you're not constantly moving. I'd say 250 if you do a lot of in town riding, and 650 if you're on the highways or main roads most of the time. I personally do not like 250s, just not enough power. ( No, im not some dumb kid who goes and buys a 1000cc+ bike) I hope you enjoy your 650r, its a gorgeous bike, and i LOVE Kawi green.

  • Badass bike and sick vid. This has been the decision i've been struggling with lately. Thanks for the input.

  • how fast is the 650r

  • @TheKnightman25 I have it and like it a lot. started with a 250r, and it's definitely faster. Haven't had a car beat me yet. R6's and what not are faster obviously, but this bike's fun. You'll be at 80 on the freeway without even realizing it =]

  • @TheKnightman25 140mph

  • @TheKnightman25 Max speed is about 130 to 133mph. It only did 125mph with me on it. I weigh more than the average person. 230lbs.

  • how much did you pay?

  • @ADiOGamingPs3 never mind

  • Great VIDEO!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much!!!! You were very lucky to find this bike for $4200!!!! What a steal! I live in Miami and 2009 650r costs from 5k to 6k!!!!! I've just sold my 250r, so I will probably buy 2006 gixxer 600 for 6k, unless I find 2009 kawi 650r for $4200:)

  • Get the 650, you will outgrow a ninja 250r in no time and esp if you finance it you will hate yourself. I had decent dirtbike experience and was thinking ninja 250, ended up buying a gsxr 600 and never looked back

  • Really nice vid man! I have been thinking about the 250r for a while ( I'm in the process of buying my first bike) and everyone said the same stuff to me and I wasn't getting a bike so I could be an idiot and go fast. This video helped me become more confident in my choice. Thanks again (I'm 16 btw)

  • Dude, this bike is impossible to find used. I've been looking for a looooong time.

  • @SalladTM Have you tried craigslist?

  • @presidentchell I have, sadly not much in my area. I may have to broaden my search.
