@MonaLisaNaked I have tried Crilley and I am trying again now. I left him a comment about this in his upload today that got 210 up votes. So far no response. CartoonBlock told me that he is going to advocate when his work schedule eases up. We got a V-Log from Raeart today a video response from FlippyCat, tjw1963 and a statement from Sycra. This is happening. But every major artist such as your self who helps out gives us an even better chance! Do you have time to make one?

@kazanjianm this may sound odd actually - but have you tried michelle phan? or onision? although art isnt their primary video aims... they both draw/paint and i think Phan has a degree in fine arts too. As soon as someone big sees all the videos people are making, all it takes is for one of them to make one and it spreads like wildfire.

I'm absolutely in support of this as well! I was shocked when the Travel category was gone for a while. At least that's back. There are so many great visual artists showing their work, that it would be helpful to have them in a specific category.

Yes, I totally agree that we visual artists can definitely use a YouTube VISUAL ARTS category. Everyone, please follow Merrill's direction and click the link in the video description. More responses means MORE VIEWS for ALL OF US. Who wants more views?

I definitely believe we should be able to have a category or directory if you will. It's sad that we all miss out when we don' know the name or title of the video, to find a subject we're most interested in.

I hope they make a visual arts category.. hell, I hope they make a browse menu that doesn't insist on being filtered by "Most Viewed today".

I don't know why they haven't taken a hint from something like Vimeo.. Youtube's categories make the site look amateur'ish while Vimeo's categories make it look extremely professional. The sub-categories make it even easier to find exactly what you're looking for and you're not wading through a howto category full of makeup tutorials.
