  • what scares me about this is that your wearing sandals.

  • haha you left the fire burning

  • -1 for the fucking music .

  • As the song called? =O

  • @voltiooneking You REALLY wanted to know, huh (since you posted that question 4 times lol). It's "The Sins Within" by Endrone - which is shown in the video when I break the boards.

  • lol like how his hand was still on fire after

  • thts cool

  • perfect music to add

  • the death metal was an amazing touch

  • That looked awesome!

  • HOLY SHIT. Your hand after it looked like you were a demon!! + the scream from the music. Ownage. - subscribes -

  • Oh look somebody posted exactly what I was going to... all well never mind. -subscribed-

  • whats the soundtrack?

  • "The Sins Within" by Endrone. They're on MySpace, and were nice enough to give me permission to use their music to do something dangerously stupid. :)

  • Something tells me that I won't be trying this at home.

  • song?

  • agora eu aprendi como fazer churrasco!

  • Now,i learned how to make barbecue!

  • I would use a smaller amount of lighter fluid and let it soak into the wood before lighting. That way you avoid the burning liquid of death, and still demonstrate the Leidenfrost effect.

  • DIGGNATION FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • diggnation... nice.

  • i got a science trick called "water to wine" u get some universal indicator and tip some acid in and it turns red! haha my science teacher did it its funny

  • Why did they burning lighter fluid on your arm not vaporize the water and burn your skin? It was on your arm for like a whole 2 seconds.

I'm guessing that you are also involved in devil worship, and that demons came and protected you from getting burned.

  • Uhm. Nope. No satan involved. My arm was still wet enough to have a brief buffer. It's all just science, no divine/infernal intervention involved.

  • haha yeah I know what ya mean....still a good show tho

  • haha I heard you're not supposed to used water for things like that because of steam burns you can get...then again this was talking about jumping in a pool then running through fire

  • Yeah...this was a BIT quicker than running through a fire. Mine was dangerously stupid. Your example could be stupid dangerous. :/

  • Your video was a magnificent demonstration of breaking,Physics and editing. A great Science lesson.I'd like to take my Kenpo Kard trick and expand it with fire. Were the boards half inch or one inch? Once again, thanks and great job!

  • I believe 1" x 8" by 12" were the dimensions for the pine boards I used. I didn't use spacers, but most people do.

The main thing is to run some tests to make sure that whatever technique you use, only the wet part of you is over the fire, and that you can pop the boards quickly and remove yourself. There are quite a few "blooper" videos on YouTube where people messed this up and either got hurt, or set their area on fire. (one is at the end of the video this responds to)

  • Thanks so much; I'll take every precaution and take my time with the practice sessions

  • Good to hear. I would prefer my audience not catch fire.

  • that was pretty sick man

    im definatly gonna try it

  • nice vid especially liked how the music broke out as soon as u hit the wood

  • that song is so fully, good video.

I've heard of fingers in molten lead before. There's a paper on the web about "DON'T SWALLOW LIQUID NITROGEN" It talks about Leidenfrost and things like that. A+

  • sweet

  • What's the name of the song being played when you're about to crack it? It kicks ass :)

  • "The Sins Within" by Endrone. The band's myspace page is in the video's description, too.

  • Thanks

  • this kicks butt

  • Man you got goood taste in music :)

  • do you like metal music

  • Yep.

  • He is God, at real!!!!!

  • Wow awesome!!!!!

  • the water isnt neccesary

breaking burning wood is somthing martial artist do often, ive done it before without water.

  • I spent quite some time researching this. No dojo that I spoke to, nor any video on the internet that I could find did it with anywhere NEAR the same volume or heat of flame. Lighter fluid is one thing, but Acetone burns with much more energy. The closest thing I could find on youtube was two guys breaking thin cinder block (mine was 3 boards with no spacers) with a lighter fluid flame 1/5th the size (at best). If your dojo can top what I did without water, then please post it already!

  • Seriously! I wanna see it! :)

  • lol,i like how after you break the board your hand is on fire, and you just calmly shake it out.

  • i learned somthing new today.. cool :D

  • wooo!

  • Huuuu! Chill that hand!

Nice vids you made, but the last is some months since. No time for any more or no more garage?

  • Been busy with new baby. Have a couple videos "in the pipe", but I've been slacking, I admit.

  • Ah. Ok. You're right, its not good to show these nice effects to your kid too early ;).

  • that was awesome!!! even though i watched your breaking boards video and was not quite smart enough to understand and ended up doing nothing to my board... -_-

  • Oooh, that was nice. It's a pity there was no flash steam effect, though!

  • Sorry, it's not a lot of water (like with the leidenball), and kinda, well, engulfed by flames. Heh.

  • RAGE! all i was thinking when it kept doing the replay of you breaking the boards was "HULK ANGRY, HULK SMASH!!!" great video man

  • BITCHIN!!!

  • Me while watching video: O.o Your hand's on fire, your hand's on fire...YOUR HAND IS ON FIRE!!! Bad thing about lighter fluid, it transfers easily and takes the fire with it. I guess it's not that bad, though...That same friend with the pickle tried to put fire out with paper in the hopes he could smother it...No, he's not that bright and copies my papers in all our science classes >.>.

  • Using paper to smother a fire...nice! I'll remember that the next time I'm tempted to douse a fire with 100-proof vodka. :)

Sounds like he'd make a good lab rat - er - assistant!

(You've been a commenting machine today, haven't you?)

  • Yes, yes I have...

  • No worries. I appreciate the feedback.

  • COOL!!!!!!!!!!

  • OK Dude, where was the fire Extinguisher! And maybe a face shield (do I sound like your Dad)? Carry-on ...

  • The fire extinguisher was nearby. As was a garden hose. And of course, the bucket of water I had next to me. No face shield, but I was wearing safety goggles. :)

  • great

  • nice awsome video

  • HAHA! That was awsome with the music!

  • i think its real cool, except for the burning on you its really cool

  • Thanks. Actually I didn't get burned. Still had hair on the back of my hand even. My hand still was still a little wet, and the flames were easily put out. No harm done at all.

  • what song?/

  • I gotta ask. Did you watch the entire video before you commented "what song?" The song is featured at the climax when I break the flaming boards.

  • Buddy, it can only be a complement that NOBODY notices that little bit of text when you're doin' your thing

  • Heh. Fair enough. Point taken.

  • Yes...it is a primal urge amongst all with excess testosterone to break things and set things on fire. To combine the two like peanut butter cups even more so. ;)

  • lol .... breaking stuff is alot more fun when its on fire .....

... the funny thing is i wanted to make a video similar to this in my garage ... i just havent gotten a dv cable yet .... lol . .
