The attacking team should come in from the side. The attacker should of firstly rush the horses in, in a delta formation to break the front line followed by archers and pike mans & javelineers. Then get more horse to come in from the flanks

If the attacker would have massed his units it would be more effective because the defender didn't have any artillery to cause splash damage and the attacker would have more damage.

this video is insufficient in terms of military strategies. It's 3:31 minute of head to head conflict. What I would suggest for the attacker is to divert light calvary units to the flank, attacking the flank will cause 2X the normal rate of damage. If you did that, then the video won't take as long, and it would be worth watching.

you should use there attack style:

hold postion

that makes them not moving but if they are ranged they would shoot arrows :D

Rise of Nations is loads better online because you play with real human personalities... it makes it loads more fun. The only problem is you end up playing on the same maps over and over unless you make your own (there isn't a lot of map variety).

The attacker sould have used catapults to bring the forts down then either if you send your cavalry for them or not the result is the same the forts won't protect you anymore in that battle nice vid btw:)

2- this was an scenario were you can't flank becouse the defenders are surrounded by mountains...(you can't see that in the image though).

Whoever recorder this is doing it with the wrong game :) What you need is called Cossacks - Back To War or Cossacks II Napoleonic wars - with 64 000 unit limit. I've seen many battles like this one.
