I had a hunch this would be out here...Karamozov is the Django Reinhardt of the lute, and Sting, proto-video star, and protean musical personality, that he is, proves himself to be a versatile genius, once again.This Dowland piece was, originally, a "lute song," not a "madrigal," but whoever arranged the vocal chorus understands the style perfectly. (Note the book on the table, in front of the Sting Quartet: It's laid out so each Sting can see the part he's singing. Authentic.)
