This is awesome shooting, and not to oversimplify or under-appreciate it, but in a fundamental way, Hickock is just shooting at what's sitting on his sights. The gun UNDER the sights may not matter that much if you know your gun before you need it in a crisis. I could be wrong, but I shoot a G23 the same way I shoot a G22, and I'd probably shoot a 27 the same way. Somebody send me 600 bucks and I'll test that theory. : D ("Be my grand-dad" -- no kidding, huh? We should all have a Hickock.)

@xIJAx The magazines have a follower in them after the last round. This pushes up a lever inside the gun (the slide stop lever) and that holds the slide back.

@srotto1025 They can help prevent you shooting a family member, they can help you see a target, they may even temporarily disorient one. ---- But they also give away your position.  HD is not a pretty thing.

Serious question here. How thick are the plates that you are shooting? I use a lot of .40 cal on my range and even passive fmj loads are twisting my steel plates like pretzels! Any Ideas would be great. I make my own plates out of 1/4" thick diamond plate steel and still have problems. Most of them won't even spin anymore. Love your vids by the way.

Great video hickok! I enjoy your vids so much. Im about to purchase my first glock tomorrow, a glock 17 3rd gen. They dont have the 4th in yet. Hope im not making a mistake. Do you ever shoot steel case ammo? Ive tried to find a video that would be appropriate to ask, but wanted to ask. If you answered this before im sorry. I shoot it a lot and never had any problems, just cheap plinking ammo. I just make sure to clean my guns, especially before shooting brass case ammo

G27 is my primary ccw gun!! On a side note I'm kind of a fat guy and I carry my g27 so much there is permant indent on my side where the gun and holster go lol!! I trust the gun with my life , if only I could shoot it as good as mr. Hickok .

Can you do a video with a 26 or 27 where you show how you are releasing the empty magazines. You make it look easy and your hands are bigger than mine but I am unable to consistently get the mags to drop without some sort of wrist snap to get the fat part of my palm away from the grip.
