  • Why aren't there more comments? Haha this is one of CT's most fucked up songs and LIz's vocals seem so different (almost occult-like in my eyes), almost flawed in a deep and haunting way, its fucking beautiful, the heavy drum machine, and amazing guitars that seem just to slip in and raise the hairs on the back of my neck really effect me!

  • @abciance I always said about the CTs in my head the definition "Silent Walls of Sound" Not sure where I got the idea that something could be both Silent whilst also being a wall of sound. Somehow it just made sense in my altered state. I didn't need the drugs to achieve an altered state while listening to them though. Far from it. Listening to Cocteau Twins is almost a religious experience. The ethereal sound of Liz's voice combined with those guitar and drum riffs, creates gooseflesh

  • this is how us angels speak and think its wonderful that they are here on earth 50 fold look out we are here in a good way love and peace and truth for all

  • this is how us angels speak and think its wonderful that they are here on earth 50 fold

  • Is it me or their songs are magical and haunting???

  • lol cant believe i just discovered that my all time favorite director (lynch) was/is also a big fan of these guys xD so fking cool

  • The Cocteau's bring home the bacon...yet again! Great drum and guitar riff most rock bands would give their right arm for! ....and, of course, a classic Fraser haunting vocal. Job done.

  • oh my god, the voice is sooo powerful...love the yodeling in her voice...

  • i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee these girls! chillllllls run up and down my soul

  • @TheParamountPrincess *ahem* just one girl, and a couple of guys...

  • @TheParamountPrincess One girl and she is magnificent.

  • SICKKKKKKKK <33333

  • This song brings back great memories of Wake'n'Bake Sunday afternoons spent with a newspaper and a pot of Jamaican coffee. Long drives down shady lanes, and generally just happier times.

  • One of the truely amazing bands ever...the sound is haunting and mesmorizing at the same time!

  • i just broke up from my boyfriend. this songs works on me like a delightful pain...

  • I saw them live too, but i don't think they were a band made for playing on stage... In a cathedral or in some gothic place... yes

  • @SOLEMNUS69 Goodness, that has to be the most etherial idea ever! I might try to sell my soul to go back and see that XD

  • fookin brilliant! I had the pleasure of seeing them about 4 times in the 80s in Glasgow. They still sound great!

  • treasure.. ahhh best album ever! well tied to 4 cal cafe

  • please look at my vids

  • Over the past 20+ years, I have loved unveiling new lyrics. I never look them up. I love the mystery and the discovery. Plus, it doesn't matter what Elizabeth says. Her voice is the main instrument of their songs (of course.)

  • @katerperez

when i first heard them i was convinced she sang in her own private language, not english except in patches... although i know better now, i still believe it's metaphorically true. When i got the first exposure to CT i was given a tape that had written on it only: "angel voices" i loved that tape for years before i knew who the artist was

  • @jenniferstmary1 I thought it was her own, private language, too! Or maybe Gaelic.

  • @katerperez no its all english.. you can find the lyrics on google

  • adoro esta canción!!!!!!!

  • @themarvioleta YO TAMBIEN!!

  • @AleMayaOM

cierto? te hace volar y rabear al tiempo...creo que también volar...aunque sin alas...

  • @AleMayaOM

cierto? te hace volar y rabear al tiempo...

  • i used to have this in 1988 n an old tape that i 'borrowed' from our lodger,lol...i then bought in on cd. <3

  • AAAARRRRGGGGGG !!! PLEASE COME BACK TWINS !!!!! we need you...

  • I like that sound. I must have missed them in the 80s. Thanks for keeping it around for us.

  • @metaksa76

Upravo tako. Neki ljudi imaju konekciju sa nevidljivim svijetom i to pokazuju kroz muziku i umjetnost.

  • Heres what its says! .

  • I like this song.

  • powerful

  • Perfecht : Liz i love you !

  • a fantastic song!

  • Love this.

  • TWIN PEAKS

  • ajaaa, esto sí esta buenazo!

  • I love every piece of work, the dark/goth as well as the angelic/ethereal work...these guys will always sound fresh and unique....simply amazing!!!

  • Wow, instant flash back. Detroit Mi. St. Andrews hall.

    Down in the Shelter

  • Love them....Can't stop listening to this and Pandora, lately....Reminds me of the good old days...

  • The guitar @ 1:07 OMG

  • One of my favourite cocteau twins songs. Intense and haunting.

  • I just remembered that I took my girlfriend (now wife) to see them in 1990 (?) at Massey Hall, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was a great show in a great venue!

  • love the drums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ritaruizo1 Me too :) I know they used a 4-track but do they, or something similar, exist as loops do you know?

  • Wow. I'm gonna become a fan I think. I love their music. Thanx for uploading this great song..

    (=

  • I am definitely a bigger fan of their their darker, or uptempo, songs. They lose me in their all-too-dreamy sounding songs (though I know they are the songs that appeal to many other folks)....This is one of their finest.

  • Likewise, I like their edgier material than their ethereal work.

  • i haven't listened to them for years - I forgot how amazing they are.

  • a song to my soul

  • this use to remind me of violence and sex, but that was back when you had to dispute over every line of the song with your friends while drinking wine coolers, no internet to look up the lyrics

  • top song nice one the twins wiish id seen them live

  • i feel lucky that i have saw them live in the 80ies :)

  • .

    Guido (HeirApparent01)

  • I'm not sure why you were given a thumbs down for stating you exist in Germlish (German & English)

You are still here - her. Funny. Shouldn't piss off anyone.

  • Awesome track, this was the first Cocteau Twins I ever heard, early 1980's, I was about twenty years old. There was nothing like it, still isn't, blew my fuggin' mind.

  • 1966

  • fav cocteau twins song, thanks for posting

  • Hard hitting track!! great vocals by liz!!

  • omg this song gets me weak at the knees. the video seems a bit lazy though. you obviously have artistic talent. some of your images for your videos are really cool - can't you do a slideshow instead of using a single image

  • This is true passion in the form of music. Nothing will ever come close to this... not even love.

  • whatever.

  • Hey do you remember this!
