  • some mormons came by and left that book here, i use it to roll with when i'm out of papers

  • @A1980AD, LMAO too funny!... Hey, do you have any pages left?? I need to wipe my ass! lol

  • Why do the minorty sit in the back of LDS church.

  • Stick to official Mormon Doctorines, and not Mormon speculations when going on with your bashings.

  • I think the revelation was that people would quit coming to their church unless they said that God magically remove the curse.

I don't see how a woman could be involved in this church, either.

  • Mormon bullshit makes the flowers grow!

  • It is hard to believe that any black person would have enough self-loathing to be a Mormon. For all we know Jesus may have been black himself! Wouldn't that freak the racist Mormon church----to find out that God himself is black!

  • Comment removed

  • @TheWorld Many are gonna be surprised when the messiah returns with a black face, you all who bash his children are awaiting judgement, peace & praise to thy only Elohim Yaweh & his Only begotten son Yashua and all praises go to his virgin mother (( The Black Madonna ))

  • @sgtortiz641 Well Shalom, and since you wanna get on a racial level, then lets talk about white people how they have stolen, bombed, & created world disasters for many civilizations, but im not even gonna stoop to your level, because the only blacks i see kill one another for nikes are in Europe & America, My people are Lost Sheep & dont know which way to turn, but instead of you making good remarks you bash them?? why is that dont you have no heart? shalom & praise to My Black Messiah Yashua

  • they cant back outta this one.if Mormonism was born from this mentality, then i cannot give credit to the rest of it.Jesus gave us 2 important commandments in which all others hang on.

  • All that laugh must take this seriously, time is running out, you all have been warned, black people are the chosen people of god and thats a fact, its up to you rather your gonna except the messiah for what he really is, Truth has been spoken peace & shalom, and for you edomites i suggest you forget what you was taught and ask for guidance becuz judgement is being prepared for all that worship this blue eyed pagon god

  • Black People are actually the Children of God, and are the true jews/hebrews that the bible writes about, It is a big sin to change the image of god and make his sheep a lost people, you all have been warned, Just like they cruisified and hated the black messiah yashua, prophecy states that they would hate his children as well, shalom & peace to all

  • @KingOfAfrica2012 I can see that as " Your people" kill each other for an ugly pair of Nikes. Black people have been a disappointment to all since the civil rights act of 1964. No progress, No motivation, No true contribution to society but sports and entertainment. Even the first black president is proving to fail and disapoint many blacks that VOTED FOR HIM! Your prez doesnt even care about you. Blacks are tolerated, Never welcome around the world. I have seen it in other countries.

  • hey bro in mormon world ur gonna be a slave after death

  • bullshit

  • I have no promble with blacks going in the priesthhood. Yes I am a LDS person

  • @AbuMubarak Learn truth,the 1st Christians were Africans.

  • Don't Worry Big Bro

The Real Lord Almighty Is About 2 Handle Them

    Real Soon

    Keep Up The GOOD WORK

  • a message for black mormons:

hate yourself as much as you possibly can.

  • @schmui No. Get out of the LDS as FAST AS YOU CAN!! MORMONISM = RACIST CULT.

  • @MegaGolgo13 duh!

  • @MegaGolgo13 Your post = Bigotry

  • And i don't get it. If blacks were not valiant in the war between lucifer and christ, how on EARTH do they have a monster penis?

  • @nybombs exactly

  • @AntonTheSpot cause behind the minds of a Mormon having a big cock is an evil thing (cause they don't have it) they are traumatized by blackness makes me think "hey maybe the devil ain't so bad"

  • @Nomorehataz lol

  • Black mormon? Its like saying Gay Jew lol

  • @nybombs plenty of gay jews...

  • If you study the origins if Christianity, as a whole, it evolved from Rome, NOT Jesus. Thus, the white depictions of jesus, christmas, going to church on Sunday, are all Roman influences on the teachings of Jesus. To truthfully follow Jesus, you would have had to accept the Old and New Testament (even that name is from the Romans) for Jesus never separated the bible into Old and New. God's word is eternal. There is no NEW.

  • The Mormon (LDS) church didn't accept black people fully until 1978. And it wasn't because they WANTED to, it's because the public and government PRESSURED them to. I am a (part) white man and my wife is black. Take a good guess at how my MORMON FAMILY MEMBERS treat us. According to their religion I should be murdered.

  • At this time, any worthy male may hold the priesthood in the LDS church. At the time the church denied Africans or those of African decent this privilege, many countries still had African slaves. If we had allowed Africans or those of African decent the priesthood, we would have been ridiculed and our church would not have survived.

  • So Blacks are inferior. Interesting. I'm White and friendly but have done nothing in particular. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was Black, helped change the world and died for it. Yet Blacks are inferior. Interesting. Seems like Joe Smith didn't look forward far enough.

  • A message to Black Mormons: you're stupid and black...good luck!

  • Years ago the Jehovah's Witnesses had the Exact SAME views on Blacks. Reminds me of how Christians think they are "Better" then Muslim's. Yet the striking question would be, Would Jesus BOMB People? Would Christian's who appoint a President who LIES about WMDS and then DRONES & BOMBS 4.6 Million people to death be called a Christian too?

Or the War in Afghanistan, Joe Biden says the Taliban are NOT Enemies of the US, Yet for the last 10 Years been killing these same ones? Religion is a big JOKE.

  • "And if any man mingle his seed with the seed of Cain (blacks according to the LDS) the only way he could get rid of it or have salvation would be to come forward and have his head cut off & spill his Blood upon the ground it would also take the life of his children..."(LDS MORMON PROPHET Wilford Woodruff's Journal, recording a speech by LDS MORMON PROPHET Brigham Young,January 16,1852

Salvation through murder in the mormon church can be attained...search your feelings you know its true!!!

  • Acording to Mormonism God was not always God but evolve from a person like you and me. I would say that is a Blasphemous teaching. There God had many gods before him. Infinite regression of the gods. The Mormon god was not Almighty God who created all things visible or invisible as the Bible makes clear. Also the teaching tha man may become gods is what I call blasphemous agaisnt the God of the Bible. How was Satan cast down? Why was Adam and Eve cast out?

  • There is nothing in the Bible where it states such hogwash! That is one of the reason why I do not like Mormonism. Jesus says to love thy neighbors and it does not give any exceptions what so ever. I love all people and I think all people should be treated equally.

  • @aorphia you obviously have not read the old testament, its one of the most disgusting books in human history.

  • @isuckreallyreallybad

Why is the O.T. one of the most disgusting books in history. If you are to judge God on what the Bible teaches. Then if you are a fair judge that is and not some hateful Atheist loon. You will judge that it was Man that has brought death and destruction to himself and this World.

  • You can change the hearts of men, Jesus fully believed in that. I am sure that the Lord in his infinite wisdom was simply protecting his Church from future strife. Let us not dwell on the past. The progression of the Kingdom of God is always one step at a time.

  • Saying that Mitt Romney is not a racist is like saying that not all KKK members are racists.

  • We have NEVER lived on the moon....

  • Religion in general is stupid. . . imo

  • Mormons also believe that Quakers used to live on the Moon.

Obama denounced his church leader but Romney hasn't.

  • 89 White Mormons found the dislike button.

  • In slam, The first call to prayer in Public was made by Bilal AlHabashi (Ethiopian), Prophet Muhammad asked him to do that about 1400 years ago. And he is revered by all sects of Islam.

It's Sad to see people still prejudice against others based on Race!

  • The first black serving in the roman catholic priesthood did not occur until the American Civil war.

  • @10290gilmore can you see the wind? Can you see gravity? Can you see radio waves? Seeing is believing? Come on... There many things you can't see with your eyes? Elementary science teaches you that. That's one of the weakest knocks on religion.

  • They are a cult like scientology! People do your research. Wake up!

  • if you black and mormon you are a fake black man

  • I just want to clarify, I am Mormon and the Mormon religion isn't racist. This dispute is ages old and it always is taken out of context. The scripture says that god made Canaan pay for his crime by giving him a dark skin (ridiculed by the people) and a curse that would make him unable to be in the presence of god. The ancestors of Canaan have the dark skin and created diversity amongst the men. However they did NOT have the curse. The black skin was ridiculed in the time of Canaan, but his an

  • @JakeBonculio so your church didn't allow blacks into priesthood till 1978 because they were a open and accepting church? Gotcha!

  • To answer the mans question if two white man jumps off a highrise you must let a black jump too or you are a racest

  • look in a mirror you ugly fool

  • Comment removed

  • Religious people are delusional...poor people. I worship the moon !!..at least I can see it.

  • There are black people in the Mormon church whose faith is so strong, that they believe, that was, the will of God at that time. My faith is not that sure about that one.

  • lol this is so crazy. These wierd anti christ people. May Amen, shine his Ra lol.

  • @777SiriusBlack ....mormons are christians...

  • @Heruagarwaen So are christians mormon?

  • @Heruagarwaen BWAAHAAAA!

  • Nice Suit!

  • @jjsiegal1 Nice stache!

  • Black Mormons are an oxymoron, but so are Black Christians, in general. What people call Christianity today is a bastardization of the teachings of Jesus, mixed with pagan Roman influences. (christmas, days of the week, easter, sunday sabbath, etc). Europeans equated God to be white and His son, and used that "mythology" to justify their invasion and oppression of all other non-white countries. God has left mankind guidance that is independent of European teachings.

  • @AbuMubarak the book of isaiah says being white is a curse brah

  • @AbuMubarak I remember this quote from a Muslim (though I'm no longer Muslim), the people in the Arabian peninsula back in the biblical days most likely look very Arabic. Jesus most likely looks more like Osama Bin Laden, rather than the current day deceptions of Jesus. Of course Muslims aren't any better, infact Muslims are worse than Christians. The point is people change the looks of their prophet's, and Gods to fite their image. The Hindu, Christian, Muslim, Sikh they all do it.

  • @AbuMubarak No my friend, the christianity you speak of is a branch called roman catholics. They are the ones who have adopted a mixture of paganism. However even though they maybe mixed they still retain the fundamental cornerstone of christianity and that is jesus is the son of God and that he died for mankind....The resurrection and his return in his glory is preached by ALL christian denominations.

  • @AbuMubarak very true

  • @AbuMubarak you mean oxymormon? :D

  • @AbuMubarak You should probably read The Bible before you act like you know what Jesus' teachings or Christianity is... lol

  • I'm not sorry for anything you've said. My family are native Maoris from New Zealand. They are ALL non believers. Even two generations before me. So I've been searching for awhile. Catholicism, Jehovahs, and recently I joined the mormon church 6 years ago. But my heart is still unsettled, and the most disturbing thing about mormonism was finding out about a history of racism. So now, I'm on the road wandering again. THANK YOU for this clip... I hope I find family that will lead me him.. Pare

  • @ppau008 Don't feel too lost brother. There are many of us that honestly seek the truth. I applaud you for your courage to do so. Just know that god is truth and all these versions of god can actually lead you further from god.God is very personal and you don't need a family to have a relationship with him.He existed a lot longer than the book of mormon or the bible. Main thing is to look to god when you determine whats right and wrong and who you ought to be.You are on the right track.

  • @ppau008

Why do you need a religion? Can't you just be amazed and great full that life, against all odds evolved into what we see now? I think that's pretty damn amazing and worthy of humble respect.

  • @ppau008 There is no god.

  • @Seekerofsins

Psalm 14 Foolish people say in their hearts, "There is no God." They do all kinds of horrible and evil things. No one does anything good. The Lord looks down from heaven on all people. He wants to see if there are any who understand. He wants to see if there are any who trust in God. All of them have turned away. They have all become evil. No one does anything good, no one at all.

  • @ppau008 Pare- Jesus said "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28). It is only through your personal relationship with God through his only begotten son Jesus Christ that you will find rest and security. Then, join a church of true believers in Christ who truly follow the Word of God in the Bible and have fellowship with them and strengthen your faith. Message me if you ever need help. God bless all of you. We all need Christ.

  • @ppau008 Islam is the only choice...

  • @griptapesequel .......of terrorists

  • @ppau008 God exists. But too much "mythology" from man has skewed our understanding. But you are CORRECT. Mormonism is a racist cult.

  • @ppau008 No religion well get you into heaven, only God and the son of God well get you there. And any church that does not add, Distort or altar the Bible is a Church of Jesus Christ. The kingdom of God rest on your shoulders. Galatians Ch 1 Proves Mormons wrong and any other religion that claims prophets have received new scriptures from an angel.

  • During the NAZI regime , 50,000 Danish Catholics who openly protested the Holocaust and hid Jews, were sent also to the death camps. So Hitler blackmailed the Pope into silence, but the French Free Press disclosed that the Vatican continued to work secretly with the Brits and USA to undermine Hitler , which facts were revealed by the American OSS and the Jerusalem Post in August of 2010. Also, 5 million Polish Catholics were butchered by the NAZIS, so that Hitler was not a Catholic at all

  • Catholic Faith opposed Slavery and Racism. Of course Catholics were far from perfect, but they did not support any claim that darker skin color was the mark of Cain. What was the mark of Cain was Behavioral, it was the deeds of Cain, the frame of mind, the desire to murder ,rather than share glory with the better man. So skin color has absolutely nothing ever, to do with Cain or any curse. The Catholics opposed Slavery, and demonstrate no credibility to any occult beliefs in Racism

  • Thats so right

  • By the the behavior of blacks today can you deny that what the mormon writings say are true? No. It may hurt your feelings but the fact remains, Blacks all over the world are Tolerated but never Welcomed. Not even in their own country Africa. Blacks add nothing to American culture but filth, Violence,Degradation of women and the glorafication of ignorance. I think that the scripture has it right, You just dont want to admit it. Blacks add nothing to society, They subtract from it.

  • @sgtortiz641 I pray God forgives you, evil SOB! And I'm white!

  • @sgtortiz641 - oh boy, where on earth did this lowlife come from? Go back in your hole, trash!

  • @sgtortiz641 So what are you going to do about this "black problem"? Do you have any suggestions?

  • @goodgirlkay yes one....have you heard of hitler? he is the answer (just kidding we like to have fun here)

  • @duke1861 - try leaving out the h..p at the beginning of the url, and if there's a hashnull at the end of the url, delete that too. Just a thought. Btw, thank you for your responses, although I have learnt many moons ago that it's impossible trying to appease a person who is intent on being contentious. I now limit myself to 4 posts, and it they don't see my point, I figure 100 more posts will make little difference. Again, thanks.

  • @awolLDSasap - bro/sis, this isn't a competition, which sounds pretty much like what it seems to mean to you from your comments. Live as Jesus Christ taught you and all of us - Matthew 5:44; Luke 6:27-31 and all will be well with you.

  • @krysaliyah This is not a competition. Truth has one side. Some religions claim that acting like Jesus is righteousness. This couldn't be farther from the truth. Faith "in Christ" as the mighty God is righteousness. He alone is the way, truth and life.

  • @awolLDSasap Ok check this out. I feel religion is wrong for lots of reasons i wont go into but i do believe in spirituality. the belief in a higher power. no not satan like some ppl will quickly assume i mean. but just god. it use to be christian said put no one above or equal to god and to love "jesus" and pray THROUGH "jesus" now its become "jesus" is god and pray to him. instead of praise god thank you jesus now its praise jesus".

  • This goes for black Christians too. Christ was indoctrinated on blacks during slavery when our cultures were stripped.

  • @Karosive How odd that african slaves could relate to the struggle of the Jewish people whom were enslaved in egypt. If you wanted to indoctorinate slaves, the last thing you would do is give them a bible. Hope for slaves to build a new nation. To rise up against their oppressors, to be protected by a savior. No! Christianity was not used to oppress slaves. It was their source of strength. And through Abolitionsit, an inspiration towards freedom. Get a clue and learn history.

  • @Here2ownU

FYI check on the AP from Dr. Zahi Hawass...it has been confirmed beyound a shadow of a dout that the jews you speack of were NEVER enslaved in Egypt, Never. People and religious scholars as well as historians and rabbis have made it perfectly chear on this issue time after time. Due to our controlled media in the USA this religious propoganda is circulated in our churches and history books. Misinformation is just as deadly as any diesease.

  • @Prodma000 He's an interesting character and his theories seem on the surface to disprove any Hebrew claim to Egyptian land. Please read his critics as well. He keeps a tight reign of control over access to the Pyramids and it is well known that archealogist whom question him & his findings are quickly escorted out of Egypt. He has been fired for corruption. Including tampering with evidence and falsifying documentation that contradicts his claims. The verdict is still out it seems.

  • @Here2ownU I agree with you totally. They have now stated what many black scholars and historians i.e. Cheich Anta Diop as well as we have already known....Cleopatra was of African decent. They did a bone analysis of her sister's bones and confirmed this. Some of the people involved in the "discovery" have even stated of having someone such as Hallie Berry as a person who could play the part if a re-make of the movie Cleopatra would ever take place.

  • @Prodma000 My problem with "religion" as it it now is the fact that people of African decent are imposed upon to believe in a foreigner's representation and interpretation of God. The mere fact that we all know that the people throughout the old and new testament were of us. In essence, the bible represents the story of "US". In America, it is especially damning, a nation born out of violence, represents itself as the savior of the world and we just need to "trust" and "believe" him.

  • @Prodma000 On the surface that sound all inspiring and uplifting, right? However we Africans here in American know very well how this bible was used as a weapon , a weapon that was wielded to enslave African peoples mentally, spiritually and emotionally. I didn't understand the significance of that until I studied art and world history. As an artist I naturally am inspired by all cultures and their arts. But as I began to discover there were many unexplained "anomalies" along the way.

  • @Prodma000 Just take the history of Egypt. Dr Hawass has even stated as well as some from UK that the modern day Egyptian are indeed the original people represented in that region. However if you look at history and the bible it tells the complete opposite. Over time I learned the power of representation of oneself. When you conquer a people it is imperative that you make certain that they will never "rise" against you. To transform a conquered people's god to the conqueror's image ..

  • @Prodma000 in itself makes them god-like and put the conquered in a subservient position. In other words, we as blacks in America with all that we know to some extent still in vision a Euro version of god without acknowledging our own first. At the same time we are being tormented and persecuted, disrespected, exploited, hated by the same system and culture that has us in this condition in the first place. But yet when we see a picture of Jesus or when we call his name...we call on

  • @Prodma000 "their" god to save "us" from "them"! Whoa! Once I was able to analysis this I clearly can see why slavery lasted so long and the pathology of white supremacy. Harriet Tubman once said she could have saved so many more slaves if only they had knew they were slaves! This is truly psychological warfare at its finest. I just hope that we began to broaden are minds and to began questioning thing that many of us are told to believe just cause. What separates me from the average

  • @Prodma000 person is that I believe in "spirituality" rather than "organized religion". I think we as people of African decent here and abroad need to be particular about Western religious systems and question their beliefs and motives. For if they can't even represent us honestly and truly throughout the bible how can you trust how they represent themselves?

  • @Prodma000 We have much in common. I was offered a scholarship for art to University of Illinois but turned it down for a wrestling scholarship to CMU where I studied History. The bible was "misused" by many. And that I call ignorance. But to place the blame at the feet of the bible is to misdirect where the fault lies. Please be more specific to your beef with the bible. You are only speaking against it in "concept" and not in detail. Being vague won't help me respond.

  • @Prodma000 Don't be too crititcal of our violent history. All nations are born of violence. But the depth to which we carried our nations extention did have a price for us to pay. That being the civil war. Blacks have fought valiantly to gain their freedoms and their history is great. I wrote my disertation on the black soldiers of WWI. It is a valid point that we have "white-ified" history. It is more likely Jesus had olive colored skin. No matter though, he is my savior.

  • @Prodma000 It would not surprise me at all that Cleopatra was of African decent. Africa has been ruled by many a great empires that are overlooked in our teachings of history. Africa had great trade routes and many alliances that ranged from the tip of the south into the middle east. If Cleopatra looked anything like Hallie Berry, then I'm fine with that.

  • @Here2ownU Thanks for your response it's good to have a healthy and balance conversation. More ideas get spread that way!

  • The book of moron.

  • IT'S A CULT! MORMANISM IS A CULT!

  • Somebody need to phone Gladys Knight!

  • Blacks are now allowed to hold the Priesthood. But Romeny should never be President if you want life on Earth to continue. General public is not allowed to go into the Temple. Anyone can go into the churches.

  • any church that say "god loves everyone" but are racist, are simply racist church leaders.

  • Sooo...

    What are asians?

  • @tachanka107

    Yellow.

  • @tachanka107 Undecided.

  • Ha ha ha, just remember, if you're a mormon you're already an Atheist with respect to every other one of the hundreds of thousands of other religions. I just believe in one less god than you!

  • this was a long time ago before the prophet received new revelation. now all worthy men may hold the priesthood.

  • There are black Baptists in this country even within the southern Baptist association. The Baptists used to teach that blacks were subhuman. Therefore, this line of reasoning should hold little sway to a black person who is considering Mormonism as a part of their faith journey.

  • How they are African American Mormon???????????

Because of the slave mentality doing what ever the white man tell them to do

Brake you slave mentality, listen to Bob Marley

    I'm white

  • I read through all comments and come to conclusion;that all black people should be ashame using the bible to buttress their points, and if you a white man challenge them to tell just briefly of their ancestors beliefs and you will baffle how mute they will remain.

  • It is like having a black man or women in the Klu Klux Klan

  • While we’re on the subject, how can any self-respecting African-American follow the Bible? After suffering under slavery and segregation in the U.S., why on earth would they worship a god that not only condones it but commands it?

  • @SubconsciousGatherer In the Bible salvery was basically a social status. People would sell themselves into slavery so they can pay off debts. If you read Col. 4:1, Eph. 6:9, and Deut.15:12–15, it tells how to treat slaves (which were more like indentured servants). Also, some slaves back then were also prisoners of war. Lastly, the ind of servitude mentioned in the Bible wasn't based on race like how it was for Blacks in America (it was also much less imperialistic).

  • @Yohko86 Someone has been lying to you. Does the following sound like a scenario that someone would sell themselves into? "When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property. (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)"

  • @SubconsciousGatherer Exodus 21 basically describes casuistic laws of the Israelite culture and when the wicked got ahold of Moses' Law, they twisted it to the point that when Jesus came he called it "your law" when he talked to certain Jews, like the Pharisees (John 8:17 painting a marked difference what God wanted for man to do and what was in man's heart). So in short, Exo. 21:20-21 describes how the Israelites did things all how everything they did didn't reflect God.

  • @Yohko86 It's interesting to note that Jesus COULD have come along and taught against slavery, yet slavery still exists in the NT. Not only that, but Christ's name is attached to it. "Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. (Ephesians 6:5 NLT)"

  • @SubconsciousGatherer In this context, the original Greek word used was "doulos", a bondservant, and a bondservant serves because it was he or she's job, not by force (btw, "fear" means be very careful not to offend their masters). The reason why in the KJV Bible is translated as slave is because the European authors that translated the Bible owned chattel slaves and thus, considered slaves/bondsmen/etc. to be all one thing.

  • @Yohko86 I'm still waiting to hear how you justify selling and beating people. I don't care what term you use (slave, bondservant, servant); are you actually justifying the beating and selling of people? Why would you worship a god who oversees such a system?

  • @SubconsciousGatherer I already answered that partially and my answer was that God didn't directly say or even indirectly imply that beating anyone for any reason was okay. Laws concerning that was simply adopted into Israelite culture. Why they would do that despite the fact that God didn't want it that way I don't know, but it wouldn't be the first time the Isrealites went against God's teachings.

  • @SubconsciousGatherer Also, I mention before that the selling that went on as shown in the Bible is NOT how we know to be it today (plus, there were several different forms of slaves). Unlike, we blacks that had NO choice on how how we were treated, they had many. As a matter of fact, they themselves asked to be of service of a master, they weren't forced. And they had many laws protecting their well-being and livelihood.

  • @SubconsciousGatherer I forgot to say this before but Prophet Amos warned Gaza and Tyre for their involvement of slave-trading whole populations (Amos 1:6-9) and the Book of Revelation says that disaster awaits those who sell slaves (Rev. 18:13).

  • @SubconsciousGatherer Also, the Bible condemns kidnapping people for slavery (Exo. 21:16) and puts slave-traders/masters in the same league as murderers, perverts, liars, etc and are referred to being ungodly (1 Tim. 1:8-10)

  • @Yohko86 Perhaps you are OK with a man selling his daughter into sex-slavery? Exodus 21:7-11 NLT

  • @SubconsciousGatherer Exo. 21:7-11 describes when a man sold his daughter as a servant, he allowed her entrance into a marriage covenant in which she approved, too (acting as a servant bride [non-sexually]). As a matter of fact, she was treated as a daughter within the family. Lastly, the passage tells of laws protect the female. And even if the male master ends up not wanting her, he is by law to redeem her and let her go on her way unharmed.

  • @Yohko86 My mistake. I missed the part about it being good when "a man (sells) his daughter as a servant." I was under the impression that it's bad to sell one human to another, but you've corrected me on that.

  • @SubconsciousGatherer The reason why it was translated as "selling" because some form of payment was given to the father (not always monetary). You missed the part when I said that women servants were considered daughters to masters (or sons if male), plus they would get to live under the same roof as their masters, get paid regularly, have their families stay with them, etc. Lastly, it was illegal under Isrealite law to have sex with servants unless marriage was involved.

  • @Yohko86 I don't care if it was money, cattle, or a basket of fruit. Payment is payment and selling is selling. You seem like a nice enough person, and I appreciate your civility in this exchange, but it baffles the mind how much bending over believers have to do in order to make their holy book look OK. I believe the reason there are so many apologists for Christianity is due to the fact that reading the Bible on its own will disturb even the most casual reader.

  • @SubconsciousGatherer I'm not trying to make the Bible "look OK", I'm simply answering your question to the best of my ability. I understand that issues like slavery is hard to accept (and answer). I knew a long time ago that everything wasn't pleasant in the Bible (no culture's history is clean) and if only the good parts were left in, I'd be suspicious myself. But instead of blaming God, I took it upon myself to get more understanding (once I became a believer that is).

  • mormons have a right to believe anything they choose and the right to allow or not allow anyone into their church they want to

  • Why black people always begging for acceptance to join some religious nonsense

  • You do know that Mormonism is just a load of bullshit right?
