And the noise level was loud too as it was the party house. Hehe. Luckily I manage to learn to sleep with earplugs. ;)
@mirkaripatti Yeah, those never fit my ears. Normally I sleep through noise if I'm already asleep. Sometimes someone will yell really loudly and wake me up. Thankfully that's as bad as it gets.
Cara... you can always ask people to be quiet. They're respectful. And if you don't feel like telling them, you could text me. That's why I exist. Basically, is to tell people to be quieter.

@Dustcricket My ears are too small. I've never found earplugs (or ear buds, for that matter) that fit. But even when I had to use them for work, they don't really help. I have quite good hearing, so I still pick things up.
Thats why I could never live on campus when I was in college, there's no way you can get any peace and quiet. I know sometimes you dont have a choice but c'mon, you're in college. You're not a child, grow up and have some respect. Buuuut then again, not all students in college know how to act no matter what their age.

I remember those days! I lived on a 24 hour quiet floor however do you think people respected that? NOPE. The great thing about it was .... I was the RA so I would go out and not 'request' but DEMAND the idiots to be quite. If they didn't after 2 verbal warnings I would write them up. Yep. I do not envy you nor do I miss those days. Cara did her homework! YAY :) I hate loud people, thats mostly why Im quite, but the odd thing is, my Friends are loud, and I love them. Very Confusing. A tip for next time, wear turned off headphones or play soothing music to drown out their voices :)

I have to disagree with the headphones drowning out noise, (at least for me) i get super distracted when music is playing. I start dancing and singing.

At least, not non-fiction, and not if I'm expected to retain any of it. A fictional story I can sometimes get into enough to block out the noise, but this reading took concentration on its own. Music would not have helped.
I'm not in a finals period, we have a different schedule than many schools. We already had finals before Thanksgiving, and now we take one class intensively for a shorter amount of time. I'm in the middle of that class. Finals will be in two weeks. Class is going well.
when i need to drown out distracting noise/sounds i put in earplugs and listen to some ambient music with noise cancellation headphones. might help u in times like these.
@bittercokejjang Just what it sounds like! It was a bit creepy the first time I tried my friend's pair. The room was quiet to begin with, but you know there are always those quiet, undetectable noises like the heater or white noise. Turn those babies on, SILENCE. IT WAS WEIRD. But yeah, when you listen to music with them it cancels out any outside noise.
