Dogs commonly copy behavior from each other...that's very normal. Also, I find that female dogs kick up the dirt more often than male dogs do. I assume it's because they feel more insecure about their "bathroom." Like what cats do. My male dog does that too, but not a lot.

0:50 MY DOG DOES. He thinks he's covering it up with dirt so that we won't get mad at him for pooping (which we don't). But after he poops, he'll walk like 10 feet away, turn in a direction opposite the poop, then kill the grass..... he thinks he's successful in covering up his mess, but we know he's not. I think Marley is Jack Russel Terrier, or at least part and in a past video Charles called Zoey a German Shepherd mutt.
