Few possible ideas: The steel core structure and insulation was initially damaged by the impact force, and when the truss structure bolts failed, the impact weakened core failed under the mass. Steel's melting point is high, but it softens and weakens significantly @ ~500C.
Those laterally shooting beams could be caused by tension and release, similar to a spring or a bow.

No PHD civil or mech engineer and the video spends forever trying to convince people the steel had to melt. Beams are wrapped in fire resistant material to protect it from heat because heating it can be enough to weaken it and allow it to buckle,

Mix weakened steel with tons and tons of weight on top of it and the tower collapses. @TheOP351 But the steel doesn't have to melt for the building to come down. The strength of steel decreases as the temperature increases. Long before the steel melts the strength is signifigantly reduced. At 1500 degrees fahrenheit the strength of steel is only 10% of the strength at room temperature.
Building number 7 is the most obvious sign of controlled demolition for a few simple reasons:
1.The building wasn't hit by a plane so there is no reason for it to collapse in any way.
2. A building with a steel/concrete structure cannot collapse caused by fire alone and there is even no chance of fire breaching with a sprinkler-system. Building number 7 had a sprinkler system, it fights fire mechanically even when there's no electrical power.
3. If a plane would hit the building it still would not collapse. I can support this with facts:
“The Bijlmerramp” was an accident in the Netherlands where a jumbo jet in 1992 in fact DID hit an apartment building in Amsterdam and still it did not collapse except for the small part it did actually destroy by the crash itself.
So it is clear: a building that does NOT suffer a plane impact does NOT collapse

@inhuman0id ummm pancake theory is a part of architecture,its an accepted way to make buildings deconstructable so a domino effect doesn't occur. if you knew how the structural engineer designed 7 WTC you'd know that it was held up by 4 perimeter pillars that held up the super structure by distributing weight to the sub structure though when tower 1's upper mast crashed down onto Vesey st. it took out 1 pillar and damaged the others thus creating an unequal load of weight distribution.

@inhuman0id im a student at NYIT so i understand proper engineering,as architects we try to make sure that buildings fall straight down when failure occurs,making sure that that the structures around them receive little to no damage. i would suggest you read up a little on steel cage construction and the works of architects like Caesar Pelli, SOM,KP Fox&Frank lloyd Wright ,. then i suggest you research the design of each tower and see how their unique structure made way for failure.

Few possible ideas: The steel core structure and insulation was initially damaged by the impact force, and when the truss structure bolts failed, the impact weakened core failed under the mass. Steel's melting point is high, but it softens and weakens significantly @ ~500C.
Those laterally shooting beams could be caused by tension and release, similar to a spring or a bow.
Just some possibilities. I have no standing in this argument.

No PHD civil or mech engineer and the video spends forever trying to convince people the steel had to melt. Beams are wrapped in fire resistant material to protect it from heat because heating it can be enough to weaken it and allow it to buckle,

Long before the steel melts the strength is signifigantly reduced. At 1500 degrees fahrenheit the strength of steel is only 10% of the strength at room temperature.

Building number 7 is the most obvious sign of controlled demolition for a few simple reasons:
1.The building wasn't hit by a plane so there is no reason for it to collapse in any way.
2. A building with a steel/concrete structure cannot collapse caused by fire alone and there is even no chance of fire breaching with a sprinkler-system. Building number 7 had a sprinkler system, it fights fire mechanically even when there's no electrical power.

@JakeBlue22 Exactly-the plane hit HIGH UP, which is why the implosion starts at the location the plane entered the building, NOT at the base, like it would with a controlled demolition!! That section of the building was weakened by the plane crash. Those floors collapse, the ones on top pile down and then collapse on to the remaining floors below. WTC7 - you don't think it's structure would be weakend by TWO skyscrapers collapsing next door, with pieces of building flying everywhere??

I love how at the end of this video they have to point out that your stove does not melt even if you leave it on all day. LOL, people are dumb. I work with molten glass and steel for a living. I know from working with furnaces that the fires in those buildings were weak at best and no where near hot enough to melt steel or even industrial steel girders for that matter.

people are not using their heads....these buildings suffered tremendous structural damage from the impact! the fire was an after effect and the impact and bombast form the explosion of fuel tanks on the jets is what caused the breakdown. Steel is tempered like some glass and when that tempering is screwed with it will topple like a house of cards. It is sooo convenient that the comparisons here were made between buildings with electrical fires and human fires but not impact/tempering traumas!

They're right, with steel construction the upper floors won't crush the floors beneath them. Unless a plane flies into it and takes out most of the supporting columns and the fire weakens the rest to the point that they can't support the weight.

Your two key phrases are "high school physics" and "educated guess" both of which will most likely lead you to your uninformed beliefs. You say "fire doesn't weaken steel but heat does." (The last fire I put out was extremely hot.) Where do you base that statement? Secondly, how much did the WTC weigh? Now tell me how that weight can all pancake down without destroying everything in it's path! You need to first study building construction (as I have for my career as a professional firefighter)

@inhuman0id ummm pancake theory is a part of architecture,its an accepted way to make buildings deconstructable so a domino effect doesn't occur. if you knew how the structural engineer designed 7 WTC you'd know that it was held up by 4 perimeter pillars that held up the super structure by distributing weight to the sub structure though when tower 1's upper mast crashed down onto Vesey st. it took out 1 pillar and damaged the others thus creating an unequal load of weight distribution.

@inhuman0id im a student at NYIT so i understand proper engineering,as architects we try to make sure that buildings fall straight down when failure occurs,making sure that that the structures around them receive little to no damage. i would suggest you read up a little on steel cage construction and the works of architects like Caesar Pelli, SOM,KP Fox&Frank lloyd Wright ,. then i suggest you research the design of each tower and see how their unique structure made way for failure.

@inhuman0id i know of that crash and once again you need to do research...that was a small craft that only penetrated a single floor of the ESB. it carried no weapons and its diesel fuels did not leak into the elevator shafts. the ESB is also a structure built with Tier cake design a design that uses setbacks to support the superstructure by acting as multiple independent sub structures. all in all the ESB is a much more powerful and sustainable structure than the former WTC.
