To expand on that, religion IS terrorism. If there *were* no religions, I am 100% sure that a lot of the problems we're facing today would not exist. Then again, I'm not saying people shouldn't believe in something, just don't force your views on everyone else. I'm a spiritual person, (I don't follow any organized religion) and I'm happy to be that way but I would never force anyone else to believe in the same things that I do.

black page, the "true" religions don't force their own views on others. Unfortunately, there exist fanatics who will stop at nothing to spread their dogma. And the saddest part is that people like Daniel Pearl suffer because of these criminals.

I understand what you're saying, it really is just criminal acts in disguise. Still, you can imagine how peoples views are colored after hearing about Daniel Pearl, 9/11 etc. I just feel that religion (as a whole) is at fault. i love steve reich. i am very influenced by his style. i love the daniel variations. however i can't help thinking that more muslims are dying at the hands of christians and isrealis than vise versa. i have no love for terrorists of any kind.

Reich listed four religions as being persecuted while he listed one religion as persecuting. It seems fairly clear what he was stating through omission.
