those are definitely not natural, here in spain we have natural stags not imported ones like in new Zealand and argentina. the "luchadera" (first point) has two other points to it, not natural. too many points and too short of an antler
kiwi guides deserve all the money they make , because talking shit to americans all day must be one hell of a task , free range ???? all this behind wire stuff is an ongoing lie just unreal that it happens ??
this type of bullshit completely disrespects the older nz generation who tramped through some tough country to shoot lesser stags in the rutt , these deer have been trapped and are acting completely out of character, in the rutt my arse! go back to where you come from.
They aren't very wild in NZ then if thats what they are like together in the rut....... Start of the rut they are fighting each other to form their groups, then then after that they are on there own with the does and maybe a immature stag if hes lucky.
NZ is country where crossing of European and American elk deer was allowed as well as feeding with aditives ect. That is the reason why this red deer is not in CIC veryfication system. Everything started with 7 or 8 big red stags imported from Croatia. After that they brought American elk and they made a perfect trophy for American hunters. These days it is for all of us but for massive free ranged red stags you have to go to Europe.
In Ireland this year, a record red stag was shot with around 22 points and weighing in at about 660kg. Thats one hell of a beast. (and yes that was a park deer that'd been released years before it was shot - it wasn't in it prime either)
haha 660 kgs. dude back up your statement with evidence. 600KGS?? maybe you should have put lbs after that instead and even that would be a double sized whopper
man this year i shot a 17 point stag that weighed in at 213kgs and boy it was a rush and a half and just looking at that stag i can tell that its been bred to have a meke as head but wheres the fun in shooting a deer if it runs up to you thinking your going to feed it?
All New Zealand is a big farm the habitat is very good there, not much hunting, no predators.. paradise... or somethig abnormal?? Iam sure about one thing.. some of the stags in New Zealand are marvelous.
At first I was amazed at how beautiful ALL those animals were...then I saw it was a preserve. That's ok anyway, my bf and I raise whitetail for shooting ranches...gorgeous animals! Are they for a velvet farm?
@dutchborn haha i live and hunt in new zealand mate sorry but to see a stag this size in the wild is highly highly unlikley and concidering there more than one in the film and there a fence in it also i think its ovious these animals are not free range. sorry to burst ya bubble
There together because its a farm, u can see the fence posts, if they where wild u would have a hard time getting that close let alone making that much noise, there are semi tame
So have you ever been in NZ during the rutt -- if so you would know what your talking about - the fence was for the ranch next door - these were free range
@buddyray69 ive been WAY closer to deer than that some tame deer wont even let you get that close. if you know how to stalk (which the person that filmed them) is obviously good at and what you dont seem to know about- you can find that you can get very close even up to 4meters away
@Serenado9 the fence only serves as a deterrant... the deer have lived their entire life on pasture within fences, they have plenty of feed so they have no reason to jump it.... actually after watching it again that fence looks about 8 foot, and probably has an electric top wire...
