Probably tortured the shit outta him

  • Great fucking movie

  • Great movie

  • BIG BRAVO TO THE AMERICAN ITALIAN ACTORS I ADMIRE THEM

  • The best movie.

  • Joe Pesci is the ultimate gangster!

  • If the fight wasn't over a parking space, then what was it about?

  • my best friend...wasted talent. I just hope he figures it out before it's too late :(

  • Interesting fact: Lillo Brancato (the actor playing "C") isn't even Italian. He was born in Colombia and adopted by an Italian-American couple.

  • @soyrizo And...

  • @1968bigcity And nothing. I just thought I'd share an interesting piece of trivia about the lead actor of this film. But I presume you didn't find it interesting. What a shame. I think I might lose sleep tonight because you didn't find what I had to say interesting.

  • @soyrizo See thats what you get for presuming, cause it seemed like your saying "isn't even Italian" like with an attitude. If you had said he "isn't Italian" than that would have been interesting but when you said the way you said it, when your not speaking and hearing the way someone is talking and you have to "hear" it in the writing you leave it up to reader to interpret what your trying to say. Thats all. Awesome film though.

  • love that this is my neighborhood

  • its not a mafia film it makes me fucking pissed cause just because you see guys wearing suits you jump to conclusin and pick you asshole and say look mommy and gangster your mom should punch you in the face

  • it was just like he said, nobody cares. So true. You never really find out who really cared about you until your funeral and even then you don't know whether people are there for appearances or because they genuinely cared for you in life.

  • I love Chaz Palmentari (Sonny). He wrote the sceenplay, I believe, and the scene with the kid witnessing the shooting outside his apt bldg really occured. The kid was Chaz, know as "C" by the local gangsters.

The movie, despite the mafia overtones, touched my heart. I only hope that the young actor can straighten out once he is released from jail.

  • wasted talent is pretty dam sad. true.

  • little off topic but not a chance in hell that that would be an open casket.

  • can some one tell me what "the saddest thing in life is wasted talent?" and "get/give love unconditionaly" MEAN hit me aspa!

  • who else saw this one spike tv

  • What song is this at the end when c and his dad are walking across the street?

  • @Max1musD3cimus "ave maria"

  • These Mobsters had style, they had dignity and respect.

These shits burning my London right now aint worth an ounce.

  • @greekboy2k yeah, havin pasta sunday. and talking with the family, playin cards.

  • noone cares huh? you were wrong about that one sunny.

waste of talent. see you around sunny.

-wipes tears- im italian, and my family is old fashion, my great grandparents came over from sicily. my grandparent was born here. so was my mother and me. im only 16 yr old livin in america. but i was raised on movies like this. people say that it just movie, people dont really do that in real life. oh ur wrong my friend. my family is alot like this movie. most italians are.

  • @DarkxKyubi Yea, im Sicilian too, and I see some of myself in Cee.

  • @papergunguy100 yeah the family used to hang alot, before mob wars in staten island, alot of my family members went to jail, alot died as well..price of being a true blood italian.

  • C' is in prison right now...... example of Wasted Talent ... sad :(

  • @mrtundra45 i dont really believe in wasted talent because if somethiing happens its just the way it was supposed to be the future is already written

  • @mrtundra45 he shouldint did 2nd degree murder

  • @lizardthedopeman He didnt murder anyone..... he was doing a burglary....someone else shot the piggy.

  • @mrtundra45 he was charged with 2nd degree murder, look on wikipedia

  • @lizardthedopeman He didnt shoot the pig.....his friend did....C' was trying to rob a house a house that had herion.....the cop came on the scene and BAM his friend busted shots.....cold bacon :(

    lol

  • @mrtundra45 why is he in prison ?

  • cop killer's

  • In the end, love wins!

  • good movie

  • the way the film ended, when Joe Pesci comes in and says, if you need any thing.

I really thought they would make a sequel to this.

    They never did, did they?

  • neto esta pelicula me hizo llorarrrrr mis respetossss y sobre todo chazz un excelente actor

  • bITCH-@SS-wIGGER... YOU GON' PAY WHAT CHO' OWE.

    :)

  • You won't be in front of that legion leaning Broughton either.

So yeah your FUCKED when your ass gets in that court room.

I'm a make you dance the snake charmers

de-lite. Can't wait to get your ass in that foreign soil box.

  • Thats exactly why you make friends with your enemies,...enemies.

Esp. the enemies' of your enemies sons. With perticular care, and choice

picking. Gotta help that guy prove those FRAUD charges.

:) can't wait to see your whole faggot family in court.

    Lack-lustre half-&-half's, druggies & ET-AL

  • This scene reminds me of the quote form the miniseries "Roots" - "You cannot kill your enemy. When you kill a man, his son becomes your enemy." Sonny found that out the hard way.

  • wow, when pesci comes in at the end, it;s so powerful

  • this was such a great movie, sad ending though.

  • does anybody know the song that play when he walks out the funeral with his dad

  • you don't remember me do you?

    Circle D?

    Martin Stables?

    'course-snot...

  • Titty fucking EPIC man!!

  • Couple of things guys:

    1. This is not a gangster film. It is a coming of age film. There just happens to be a gangster crew in it. There are life lessons to be learned such as the car door test, the $20 stuff, etc. White, black, Italian, Hispanic or Asians can learn from this film.

    2. Although I'm from the inner city midwest, C's neighborhood and rearing reminds me of my youth: THE WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD IS RAISING HIM. It really does take a village to raise a child.

  • @wallyworld776 couldnt have said it better bro

  • @wallyworld776 If this isn't a gangster film then why was it nominated for AFI's Top 10 gangster films list?

  • @wuababa What does this movie spend more time on developing the story: the inner workings of the gangster crew or how this young boy is deciding which way to go, gangster or hard working everyman like his dad. The story is about the boy, not Sonny and his crew. AFI has a right to their opinion. But I like mine.

  • @wallyworld776 Well said!

  • GREAT FUCKING MOVIE!!!!!!!

I can watch this shit a million x

The best part is the narration at the end...very touching.

Some people dont know what the fuck they want to be in this life..those niggas c hung with were losers..he didnt see that cause he wanted to fit in...losers and lost souls do not want to see YOU excel...my moms used to say all these niggas you hang with are NOT your friends and you will find out one day.....took me a while to see what she meant......i love that lady r.i.p.

  • 03:47

  • "the sadest thing in life is wasted talent" what a great line

  • @jcakes21 the sadest thing is that the actor that plays C truly fucked his life up

  • @DerekHussey1989 you heard yourself

  • @DerekHussey1989 damn for real? wtf happen C was my dude.

  • @DoomCity202 Think he's in prison for his part in a cop killing after the cop tried to stop him and some other guy from robbing a house

  • @DerekHussey1989 yeah he's up for parol in 2014 I believe.

  • You can't park that Bev- piece of shit here. This all-american park'in rite here...

    you 40watt incandescent lantern-wic pric. :)

  • "Nobody cares" that sooo sad. I always think, though its a bad thought, who really IS gonna care at my wake/funeral. But i loveee this movie btw. (:

  • @xodancerloverxo Your friends, and your family stupid. Stop thinking like that or you'll make it true.

  • No... it wasn't. It was about respect. And the severe lack thereof.

  • 4:42

  • Worst ending to a movie ever, this kid's not even Italian, Colombian. This dumbass could of had everything but like a true dirtbag was caught in a murder- robbery case and is serving 10 years, wasted talent. J/K about worst ending, it's good.

  • @mrrogue72 what the hell are you talking about?

  • I miss the old days growing up

  • I was sad when I saw Mush At Sunny's funeral. He like C was one of the very few who were deeply hurt by Sonny"s death. The guy whole crew (Even Sunny) broke hills balls every day, and still Mush was sobbing like his son.

  • Joe Pesci manages to look intimidating even when he's speaking quietly.

  • truly one of the best mafia movies .

  • @dannycapone24 "truly" lol

  • greatest movie ever. ok not the best but up there...lol

  • @adulby yeah top 500

  • fuck you ya barney ass faggot

  • God dam it! I HATE when people are smiling and LAUGHING at wakes!

  • unfortunatlly c got into bad drugs in the old days babania sellers were despised and yes a stand up guy was a man of respect and wouldnot want his kids involved he would take the oath for his family things have changed and a lot of people do the ratlook at things today

  • This movie is and always will be fucking dope........

  • ...she passed the test, that's what I wanted to tell you

  • This movie is sad irony.... If only the actor that portrayed C actually learned the lessons taught in this film, he might still have been a successful actor even today...

  • italian mobsters actually took care of their neighborhoods if u know anything... thats y people loved them but feared them at the same time. especially in ny... love this movie, im from the bronx and italian so this movie hits home for me

  • @babaGANOOSH87 nice job degrading yourself to a simple stereotype

  • @jros83 i meant like the culture and the people and the location. not the ghetto or mobsters bro lol im not degrating myself

  • @babaGANOOSH87 I'm from Massapequa. No one messes with that town. Safest place on Long Island.

  • @bluepacifica123 theres a lot of drugs in Massapequa bro

  • @ChairmanOftheBoard16 Yeah right !! Come to Miami, Massa what???

  • Sweetp you r the biggest fucking homo I hope u get hit by a car and become a vegetable and r still aware of everything that's goin on but u r completely paralyzed

  • i wish there was a sonny in my neighborhood lol

  • I was sad when Sunny had to die.

  • @honeegrrl - i cried my eyes out.

  • @honeegrrl "Now youz CAN'T leave"

  • @honeegrrl I agree. I cried like a baby.

  • open casket with a gun shot to the back of the head? and not a hair out of place they did a lovely job at the funeral directors.

  • @trumph650 Hahahaaa, true, I didn't think about that...that's pretty funny in a dark humor sort of way.

  • it sucked Sonny died but it set up to be a lesson learned ending. Sonny was a huge waste of talent. And its crazy after this movie the guy that played C in the movie is now going to spent the rest of his life in Jail for Murder in NYC talk about Karma from the Bronx Tale Movie *talking about the real life actor*

  • @Crabman2186

He's in jail for attempted burglary. He didn't kill the officer involved. He's up for parole in 2014.

  • @elmando5 is he really in jail??

  • @emanspi Yes unfortunately he is. But you know what, he fucked up and he got what he deserved. But I don't want to see people judge him on what he did in the past that can ruin the potential he has in having a great comeback in the future. But more importantly, he's got to stay off drugs first and foremost.

  • Ow im a half italian but i dont have nationality or language

  • @QatarnehChannel

    thats kinda impossible

if u had no nationality u wouldnt be from this planet

if u didnt have any language u would not be able to read write or type for that matter

  • ppl who didnt like wat i sed can fuck off for the fact u cant think out side the box. i said..... im not Italian.most are racist but i amitt they teach they kids life.n that the best thing n life...so grow up n realize racism is everywhere but italians are open about it. and i was sayin italian parents put wisdom to children

  • lol @ 2.58. that shot is soo funny!

  • An open casket on a headshot?

  • @Bulldog22031 not a through and through...

  • I'd Be Happy Too If My Idiot Friends Were Dead Except Sonny !!!

  • this is not "gangster" movie this is more than that n ppl dont get past the crime. im from the bronx 4 line and this teach alot. im not Italian.most are racist but i amitt they teach they kids life.n that the best thing n life and guys stop arugein about mafia n bloods it dont matter wen we dead

  • @xmillz174 Your the racist! Get a life & do something for your self & stop pointing fingers

  • @Patrick42231 no one pointing fingers read it over frm a different way be4 u reply think plz thank u

  • @xmillz174 ...Most Italians are racist?.HA!..u got to be joking right?...Look who's pulling out "the Race Card"!

  • @Ishitonyou666 read wht i sed nd stop being close mined. racism is out there n most things italians say about blacks are. and i was praiseing italians parenting and wisdom. read it over plz

  • i remember watching this film in highschool and i really really felt sad for sonny...he was like the a bad guy, but still a guy with a gold heart sometimes...it was complicated, but this movie was absolutely superb.

  • At the end of the clip, is that Cee's mom in the lit up window? She disappeared from the rest of the movie.

  • I'm sure organized crime is better than disorganized crime! Which is when "inocent bystanders might get hurt. Most people who get hurt by the "Mob" are in the "life already.

  • can somebody please post heaven help us? Thank you !

  • holy shit! deniro and pesci in another gangster movie!?!? How bad ass!!

  • I wanna download this movie in high quallity butt were???

  • Yeah, I'm African- American. I just think any immigrant group that comes to America are able to establish themselves better than African-Americans; whether it be a legitimate or illegal enterprise. This has to do with institutional forms of racism. But also Cultural bonds that bring people to together. Italians always had that nice connect back home in Italy Also American policy has always been on the Immigrant side. Blacks historically have suffered from the color line in America.

  • @chb018 Dude, what is your fascination with crime and these gangs...they are all scum.

  • at 1:28, you would think that when that "mush" dude kissed Sonny in the forehead, Sonny would literally turn to mush. Just a funny thought. Great movie none the less.

  • cee is so cute like forreal

  • @DivaCB01 he in jailll

  • The guy who killed sonny is the same guy who told them to run when they were fighting the black guys

  • @Woodpipemaker no it wasnt Cee told them to run

  • Its amazing how much he looms like Deniro...he could really pass for his son in real life.

  • hes got the mole and everything

  • the irony in this is so clear i can see it in front of me

at 7:28 he says the saddes thing in life is wasted talent

12 years later, he ends up wasting his in that shootout

whats even more ironic is that he and another mobster were part of it

he wasted his talen when he told others

    not to

and now because of that hes got another 9 years in the joint...

  • Your past catches up with you and that's what happened to Sonny. No matter how long it takes it will come.

  • this is such a great movie!!! does anybody know if the scene where calogero was a little a kid and robert de nero was giving him the "talent speech" is on youtube?!

  • 7:40

  • Lillo Brancato Jr man, what the fuck!!! He had it all, fame, talent and was a good looking guy back then, but he ruined it all with drugs. I hope that when he gets out of prison, he gets his shit together and hopefully makes a Hollywood comeback.

  • @elmando5 that would be terific if he did

  • "the saddest thing in life is wasted talent"

    Greatest mafia movie!

  • @dhig555 goodfellas

  • @erminthon the godfather

  • @fede018 haven't seen it

  • @erminthon really?! are you trolling?

  • @fede018 no. really. the only reason i saw this one and goodfellas is cuz they were on on spike lol

  • @dhig555

  • @dhig555 along with goodfellows

  • @special420player " Goodfellas", get it right.

  • I agree!!!

  • i believe Joe Pesci was the underboss, or second in command of Sonnys crew.one of the greatest mob movies ever

  • carmine was sonny boss thats why when the guy hit carmine with the bat in the beginning of the movie sonny had to kill the guy

  • @Jimmy1tooth o thanks cause i been confuse at this sene since 2000 lol

  • iSay having a Crew is Gooood ; Gangs ? Pussy Shit ; Youu neeed other people defending youu fight for your own battles x 3 '

  • "nobody cares"

    so sad but true =/

  • @tetsunosuke90

Not true. Calogero cared, Carmine cared, and even Lorenzo cared. On top of that, part of the reason why no one seemed to care is because Sonny was working with a bunch of killers and thugs who were either ungrateful, didn't appreciate, or didn't understand everything Sonny did for them.

People cared, Sonny was just wasting his talent and brains in the wrong business.

  • It's such ashame this kid who played C went down the wrong path.Like he said about Sonny "nobody cares'..but this kid could of done something.Regarding Joe Pesci..his cousin Gino owns a restaurant in Dover,NJ called Attillio's( great food and atmosphere)He would come in time from time..what a great guy and a class act.Usually most actors are not approachable, but he was funny and liked to listen to what you have to say.

  • Are you serious? The bloods are a street gang, The Mafia is organized crime. Do the bloods have political ties or cops on the take? Street gangs work for the mob. The mob would just get the cops to take care of things or the local politician. The Italians,Greeks, Russians,Chinese think the bloods and crips are a joke. Real gangsters wear suits and run for office, street gangs terrorize communities and rob grandmothers. The safest neighborhood's always have a Sonny looking out for things.

  • your really stupid-street gangs or mafia who cares they are all criminals. How old are you, if you don't understand the mafia breaks the law and get punished. The mafia is not what it used to be and never will be people like you make me sick you idolize the mafia. Don't you understand they would kill you and your whole family if they thought you were a threat these people have no respect for no one. So stop idolizing criminals. Americans can be so stupid.

  • so your not american? yourname is jersey shore girL?

  • you know what i mean

  • You don't have to be so bitchy about it.

  • I was being honest, people need to stop worshiping criminals, blood crips latin kings mafia they are all criminals that do more harm then good. It's ok to watch the movies but when you start to look up to these people like the last poster then we have a serious problem i think you would agree.

  • Maybe...

  • Comment removed

  • @Jerseygirl8999 In NY we do look up to criminals. 3NI is more powerful that NYPD where i'm from...

  • id much rather watch these guys than fuckin gangbangers

  • Comment removed

  • @chb018 i like how u put that

thumbs up all the way my man!

  • @chb018 yeaa u rightt lol the crips and bloods are jokee lol and im black but have you heard about the yardies them dudes are like the mafia but they gangsters and i respect the Italian and Irish cause they the one that made my nyc in the mapp.. and the mafia can kicked the crips and bloods or mexico whatever ass kids gang asses any dayy lmfao
