Actually there are only two homeless people in my town, and that is because they choose to be, in denmark, we pay 40% taxes so that everyone that doesnt have a job can be on welfare, people in denmark makes sure that we are all well and safe, so we also go to the doctors for free. So if I could help people in haiti right now, I would in a heart beat, but as a 18 year old I dont have the money for a ticket to go and help.

I still think bringing in a drill would work, even if there isn't rain because if you drill far enough down you'll always find water, no matter where you are in the world. This is something a lot of countries do. And if they do this in a lot of places there wouldn't be fighting because there would be enough water for everyone. And the equipment is very simple, its just a machine that does the job, could easily be brought over.
