I put these the traditionally held spots for the foundation of civilization with Central and South America. Aristotle was simply the best documented. The scientific method says, observe, hypothesize, predict, experiment, explain, modify hypothesis, experiment, etc. Science is the method of inquiry, not the answer. Babylon, the Indus River Valley Civilization and Prehistoric China all had accomplishments that required some sophisticated rational inquiry. That isn't counting the Inca, or the Maya, or even the larger African empires with no Hellenic connection. What probably happened is that records of their achievements were lost, while Aristotle's weren't.

At most we have the final production of those civilization, we aren't always introduced to the actual initial. And the philosophy and language the led to any decline could be confused with the rise. I note that in the Quran, the first thing Adam is taught, is naming. Which is interesting as that's the most basic of science.

When Watson and Crick discovered DNA, this eliminated some parts of Darwin's book, and enhanced others. As the understanding of biology increased, the original theory was replaced part by part with more accurate information.

For instance, if an EMT read books on First Aid and CPR, those books are more helpful to him than the Quran. Likewise, if the information in those books are translated well, other people in other countries will achieve the same results. If there are disagreements, they can be settled peacefully.

A first aid book can be translated to any language and any reader can achieve the same level of success as the readers in the first language. The Quran is, according to many, only able to be read in the original Arabic. Likewise there are dozens of different interpretations. And with first aid, you can discuss technique amiably, the Quran has several specific injunction to kill heretics and nonbelievers.
