  • Get the audio from this tune at soundnabber doht cohm.

  • I'm looking for a recording of 'pretty peg' by the bothy abnd, anyone know of where i can find it?? :)thanks

  • Anyone got Farewell To Erin? the editing is off at the end....top playing all the same!

  • oh man, the ppl in the audience have no idea how lucky they were, lol

  • I met the Bothy Band and Kevin with one of the sweetest of men in the whole wide world, who could also work his '61 Strat ... Andy Hepworth. No matter how hard I try, I cannot seem to reconnect with this wonderful guy. He and I, Folkestone Cliffs, Bothy Band music, some acid, and the day and night came.

  • I love that tune

  • Kevin Burke's baby face! The long hair! Love it!

  • whats the name of thune that starts @ 1:04? thanks

  • The tune at 1:04 is "The Humours of Scariff" followed by "The Otter's Holt" at 1:35.

  • thanks

  • Paddy and Matt playing the Tin?! never seen that before! awesome!

  • Magic stuff

  • jeez! their sound is so tight. the rhythm is so intense...

  • he also plays bazquie (sp ha) left handed

  • This is outstanding from a journeyman player's viewpoint. There are a number of informative bits to be gleaned about whistle and piping technique. It's fascinating as a piper to track the many moods of Paddy's chanter reed in the different live videos vs their several original recordings.

I'll repeat what I said under another video, I hope there's a video soon to appear of their a capella version of Fionnghuala.

  • I believe that Donal is left handed, hense his right hand dampening the right side.

  • wow.. this is nice... Heh, it's rare to see Molloy playing the whistle... naturally he's great with that too. Was donal playing the bodhran with his hand or is it just the way i happened to see it...?

  • Yep thats a terrific clip - many thanks for posting it. I think Donal's using a beater there, though you can imagine him going Keith Moon on it.

  • Bothy Band fabulous as always . pity the guitar does not seem to be miked up properly. Many thanks to the user for making these lost treasures available

  • Stellar clips -- thanks so much for posting these!

  • i hate to be a pain in the ass but thats now farewell to erin. thats music in the glen.

  • Music in the Glen, Humours of Scariff, The Otter's Holt in English I believe.
