  • AHHHHHHHHHH MY EYES AND EARS ARE BURNINGGGG!

  • No wonder our programs sucks, look at all these bunch of swines we are all paying to. Telling people to rock on when they never even rock their own socks off, ever? Fearing of loud speakers, concert goers, getting push at and always got disgusted at the sight of sweats? Go fuck yourself MDA, people knows what they want, far better than any of you, bunch of fucked-up, political tools. Go and die!!!

  • FAIL!

  • That what we paid $100+ annual tv license for?

  • Hats off for e wonderful effects and visuals... damn..

i didn't know we singaporeans can match e hollywood...

bt its seems like racists.. all chinese.. everything was perfect bt disappointed

  • Wow our $110 annual TV lisence fee goes into such Crap. Looks like some polytechnic sch project, these kind of junk should exist only in Schools

  • hope u cool management staff can help bring da next world cup for free

& don`t let da telco manipulate us citizen......

any way da mtv worth every penny of my tv license tat i pay....

  • What are they trying to show? That they are hip, creative, funky? I can only comment them for daring to look stupid in front of the whole world.. Don't understand what are they thinking.......

  • OMGosh. very. ashamed.

  • MIW should do one for themselves. More foreign countries will know about mee siam mai ham, mai hum, mai hum.....

  • MDA SUCKS! AND THEy RAP LIKE A RETARDED.

  • So fascists can rap. Who would've thought ;) ....

  • Sarà anche stupidissima e ridicola come canzone ma è parecchio orecchiabile e alla fine dei conti a me piace!!!X-D

    Yes,yes,y'all,we don't stop,get creative,let's do,rock on

    Yes,yes,y'all,we don't stop,get connected worlwide,rock on!

    LOL!

  • this song make my hair stand

  • FUCK Y'ALL MDA. All you old & saggy spearheads should just bloody retire & prepare your graves. BAN THIS COMMENT YOU FUCKTARDS. Singapore hates you, you motherfucking contradicting crap!

  • fuck these bastards....banning porn sites and what not..screw you and your propaganda

  • FUCK MDA FUCK ALL YOU FUCKING ASS SHIT

  • WAH LAN EH!!! This video should not see the light of day!!

  • LOL MDA SUX

  • FUCK the MDA lol they ban so many of my porn sites :(

  • for an organisation that nitpicks and takes so much out of our movies, they have pretty shitty standards for themselves. this whole video should have been censored.

  • Only 1 phrase can ever sum the value of this 'rap'...

    PAP GO EAT SHIT!

  • For someone whose soul is golden-age 1990's rap music filled with wordplay and meaning and powerful lyrics, this song is an utmost embarrasment.

  • man ............... wtf....

  • if they hope to inspire people to get creative this video really knows how not to do it. And we wonder why Singapore isn't as creative as we hope it'd be

  • MDA can kiss my "Asian-values" ass.

  • This is painful

  • if they think this is gonna bring them closer to the youths well i think they are daydreaming.....

    wake up....u guys cant rap

  • try hireing some company to produce a cartoon with real rap for u maybe that will look and sound better :P

  • Point One: Chinese can't rap for shit, imagine a whole video of them! Damn not even one Anak Melayu or Indian//

Point two: This shit is farking faaani!!!!

  • I wonder how much they were paid to make this video? Oh wait a min...

  • lame

  • This is so gross...

  • This gave me the LOLs and giggles. hahaha

  • I can't believe how detached the government has become from the 'youths'.

  • I've been to Singapore multiple times, and I was very surprised to see this come out. When's the last time you saw any government company in the US 'rap'? Now imagine them x10 more serious as a whole (serious as a personality thing, not about the video/whatev) and still making this video.

    That's true courage for you.

  • This redefines "so bad it's good" as "so bad it's bad."

GET CREATIVE CAN DO ROCK ON!

  • a BIG YAWN...

  • ROFL

  • the worst (and most ineffective) kind of propaganda. EVER.

if you look at their lips they don't even sync to the rhythm of the "rap"! I'm convinced that they were just asked to say the words, and then left the rest to the sound engineers.

    WTF!!!?!!

  • actually... it gives me goosebumps.

  • haha wonderful, great work on this spoof.

  • @123stephannnnn: What spoof? This is the official thing.

  • I think 'The Numbers Girl' is hot

  • wow...they sound like a bunch of middle-aged trying to act cool...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • hahaha that's so bad

  • This is fucking hilarious.

  • Whatever the good intentions this clip has, the digust factor has turned young people like me off.

  • They got my respect for being brave enough to produce this kind of shitty video.

  • they sound like my boss... hi dad

  • It's cute but quite cringe-worthy. haha.

Got to give them credits for their effort!

  • (((:

  • HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH. im a singaporean and HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

  • get creative ,you can, rock on

  • I... I couldn't get past 3/4 of it. 1st look, I thought: this is the scariest thing since Jaws.

But then, it takes guts to do stuff like that ya... with more "attitude", and a faster beat, and more practice, they cld have done better.

  • hey where can u see directors in the world rapping about their company?fcuk u all haters, dats y people keep saying we dun haf creativity jus like u guys out there

  • This is sooo bad! I luv it!

It's good to see a corporation lighten up.

  • I did actually like the consept, and had _some_ rly cool perspectives and graphics in the video.

But... Actors, Text, Song worst EVER!

  • ARE YOU KIDDING ME

  • cool hope to c more creative media

  • duuuuude.... WTH.

  • What a waste of public money- this is where all the "tv licence" money goes into. We already hate paying it and this is adding salt to the wound

  • this is meant to be funny and laughed at, but underneath it all they have very good ideas on how to modernize their city.

"signing off the numbers girl!!" LMAO!!!

  • Yes, its crass, its lame, its artificial

and smacks of Singapore's stiff core of life.

But the people in the video have guts to do

such a thing, and for that they have my respect.

  • what the hell? they look silly -.- ah well, at least they tried...

  • the "numbers girl" part was the lowest and saddest part of all.

  • you people who find that this is embarrasing, go home, get a life, and use your brains.

at least the ministry makes an effort to do something. unlike you people who only enjoy cussing at the ministry for not doing anything, but find it embarrasing when they do something.

it's a complete waste of human resource of the nation to be breeding people like you.

  • Okay, honestly, this is pure crap, or "sai". Looks like a brainwashing cult video to me.

  • what kind of creative?! a bunch of idiots

  • good~

  • 新加坡佬真係好柒

    一舊水都做到高層

  • 呢D先叫創意,香港班Design既Degree同HD 真係學下野la

  • These Singaporeans don't mind to show themselves to tell people that they really support the industry. It's already better than those people who say everyday "I SUPPORT THE MEDIA INDUSTRY" but do NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I am from Hong Kong, I am one of the cameramen who working in the movie industry.

I feel that those Singaporean is trying their best to create something that make noise. Although the outcome is half good half bad, but I can see their effort.

In my place, Hong Kong, I never can see this kind of video, or even never can see one person in the government who support the media industry.

  • :O)

  • that's okay.

  • 柒!!!

  • can't believe this is from the actual government agency itself.....

  • hahahahhaa

  • that's the shit right there

  • 唉...錯配

  • If i came from Singapore, I'd be fuckin embarassed. hehe

  • I'm from Singapore and I'm not. X_X' Insulters.

  • this was hilarious and kinda cute to see oldies strutting their stuffs..hahah

  • u guys call this "RAP"?

one thing i dun understand that....y Singaporer speak English with some WEIRD accent?

  • the same reason why your mom makes cat noises on bed

  • R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

    big up man!

  • i'm getting seizures from this.

  • The music is interesting, but the video is disgusting.

  • respect !

  • It is not bad

    so creative

  • they are success.

because they have met their objective

( catch your attention to watch all part of the video and make us to discuss...)

  • i love this!

  • not too bad

    The best video ever!!

  • i come from HK too...

but I dun thk the video is just as sucks as u said

it is nonsense to compare 2 cities like that

dun make us feel ashamed pls

i thk somehow singapore is better than HK, at least there is no U, an idiot

  • hey singaporean, the clip is creative and fresh,i dun see any shame on that

  • OMG

  • Hi, I read a news about this clip from Hong Kong newspaper.

Newspaper wrote Singaporer were shamed on this clip.

    But I must say:

    I LOVIN' IT! VERY CREATIVE!

    DON'T BE CONSERVATIVE, SINGAPORER!

  • I appreciate their effort and courage.

  • Quiet Good , i must say~

  • wow

  • shoot, is this how gahmen spend taxpayers money?

kiss my bloody butt ya good fer nuthin ministers

  • UTTER PIECE OF CRAP!!!!

  • Time to get a pay rise like your fellow civil serpents in the cabinet. You managed to thrill us with this half baked, plaigarised and 'not viral' video.Yes, we can solve all our problems by simply raising the prices of everything and can offset it by increasing your pay and bonuses.William Hung like indeed.

  • i mean holy $h!t this is crap!

  • hoorree srhit dis iza clap!

  • im not really sure i get this, but its pathetic.

  • gawd damn.....i've been away from SG for 7yrs and nothing has changed. Still the same BS and the same song from the same govt. Hopefully the new gen will have the balls to tell the govt what they want.

    Word...

  • Wah, Singapore everything also can do! Got no rhythm, cannot speak properly English also can do hip-hop some more!

  • By jove.... I think singaporean youth will have the ostrich syndrome after this. Bury your head deep my islanders... real deep underground!

  • I have to say that I like the MDA guys and gals and this is a bit of fun. Singapore is an uptight state trying to loosen up and so the MDA are getting a bit of stick from people because of a whole range of grievances that have nothing to do with the MDA. Or their video! And yes, they aint cool. That's what's so cool.

I can think of worse things for a government to be doing than making funny videos.

  • Damn.. the company who produced this video ought to get shot. Good idea.... BUT.. the "celebrities" cant rap, cant dance and still speak Singlish.... goodness. Bet in States all would be properly trained before the video is being shot. Could have been a good video but end up so bad I want to vomit.

  • I just wasted 4 min 34 seconds of my life...

  • Don't quit your day job uncaring elites! and please shot the song writer.

  • MDA Uppa Manage-mint in the Koropate High-Rize Hizzie! Yeh-YEA-aaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!

  • O.o The only part I enjoyed was 4.34...

  • Jesus Christ. Late to the party, but I'll be sure to spread the word as far and wide as possible to all I know. The truth must be revealed.

  • i think i actually kinda like it !

  • truly lame...

  • Dear MDA,

I would like to congratulate you on your recent success. Your "hip" and "cool" rap video was extremely well received. It provided us with alot of entertainment. Please continue to use our tax money for such means in the future. I mean, where else could we laugh so hard?

    Yours Sincerely,

    Numbers Girl Fan

  • 1.14 numbers girl is HAWTT

  • market trends is like my best friend! very very successful campaign by the beloved govt of our democratic country. it connects very well with the youth of today because of the cool rap content. as a matter in fact, this is popular video because they really look cool in the mv.

  • Wow! This is choking. I hope this video is possible not because of one super top management's initiative. Critics aside, awesome people! You don't actually rock but you have make a difference- engage, entertain and amuse. Bravo- Yes all!

  • super lame,

i was thinking to put "NO Star" for this clip, but too bad i can only put the lowest at one star (Poor)

    Indeed, very POOR!!

  • Wow. The video was really quite painful to watch. Maybe it was a good thing that there wasn't really much publized at all.

However, while the video was so... shocking, I think we must commendate the MDA's Upper Management attempt to try and click with the youths in Singapore by taking up a new... Creative way of publicity.

Sad to say, this video is also a sign of how detached the MDA is to the pop-culture of youths today.

  • moronic.

  • lame O.o

  • "Singapore content, on an international stage"

This video obviously isn't the kind of content we'll want to put on an international stage. Hope MDA doesn't waste any more resources making similar (or any other kinds of) music videos, and leave the job to the truely creative minds in the country.

  • However, it's quite sad to know that the people working in our (creative) media authority aren't exactly anywhere near creative. Statistics, business and technical professionals... Even if they are just creating a platform for the media industry, they haven't been doing a good job in supporting and growing the media industry in Singapore with the laws, regulations and censors that very much binds us to a box rather than free us.

  • Until the MDA decides to work more closely with and understands more about the needs of the local media and creative industry, the goals and aims they portray in this video will remain far, far away.

  • Just one minute was too painful for me to watch.

But hey, what do you expect from the very same people who try to censor every damned thing possible? Movies censored, games banned...

    'Development', my bloody foot.

  • How can you pretend to be think out of the box when you suck anyway? >_> I'm not surprised that this is under the comedy section, the higher ups should see this.

  • this feels a lot like the super bowl shuffle

  • I hope for them that they don't stink as much in business as in musical creativity...

  • this is just so lame to be true.....nice try la

  • *ahem*, what happened to Singaporean pride. This is making white collar workers look like a bunch of people who have never been to Zouk in their youth,

because they mugging off for their MBAs and PhDs what!

  • i'm loving it! xD

  • Commendable effort but it is too painful to watch these people trying to be cool...

  • MDA sympathizers, my comments are not SPAM!Can't you guys take any criticism? The local papers have given you 'good' press and you expect a similar treatment in a more democratic environment, cyberspace?Stop censoring the internet, the last bastions of truth.

Simple question: Isn't this video music a blatant copyright infringement of KRS-1's 'Step Into a World (Rapture's Delight)' from 1997, which features an almost identical chorus hook?Creativity?

  • Oh my god..

  • A Disaster of epic poportions it may be. It's embarassing but then again, kudos to them for trying anyway. The agency shld be sacked. Oh Dear oh dear !

  • I'm looking forward to seeing how MDA justifu*ks spending taxpayers' money on this crap.

-MDA-, what's the effing KPI for this video???

And they are getting 2 months' bonus this year-end...

  • I feel so embarrassed as a Singaporean.

  • even john cena can rap better than them

  • guerilla marketing from the top man themselves

Yes this video should be censored. It only shows how little they understand and how hard they try to be.

With nonsensical of censurship, how can singapore become a media and culture rich nation?

  • Embarrassing? Huh?

Dang, y'all, as Britney would say.

These folks don't take themselves too seriously.

    Why should you?

    Yes, yes, y'all...rock on!
