Our flax book, "The Big Book of Flax," is now out and published by Schiffer. I am biased, but it's fabulous. It retails for $59.99 but we are selling it for $47 including postage, and we sign it as well. It has history, how to grow and process flax, crafts, recipes, songs, folk tales, all kinds of neat stuff. We don't even have our flax planted yet because it's been so wet here.
good video, now make a bow string and a bow, go hunt animals, get a woman and i guarentee your testosterone level will increase and you wont sound so gay.
Linen products are easy to store, they can withstand temperature differentials and the toughest washings, which make them even softer, whiter, and more clinging to the body.
I was just wondering...why do you grow and process so much flax? I know why I process flax but never so much. Are you some major supplier of rope or something? I make cordage for my wilderness based lifestyle, but I typically use yucca(its way more abundant all year round) If you dont mind, let me know.
And it's taken me six months to read your comment! However, we grow about half an acre (about half a football field) because we use the fiber for weaving, not for rope making. Christian is the weaver and we both process and spin the thread. Thanks for asking!
Hi. First, I can't believe it's taken me two years to read your comment. I deeply apologize! We've been busy! As for directions for the flax maiden, they are included in a new book on flax and linen we hope to publish in the next year or so. We'll let you know how that works out! Johannes

Thanks for the good video! I would love to see how you process the flax for fiber.
Will you have videos covering that?
I'm thinking to plant some this year...do you have any suggestions?
One more question: how is your flax book coming?

Actually, as my testosterone level increases, I think less and less about women and more and more about sheep.
