  • She's prominently featured alongside actress Sherry Stringfield in my new book, DINNER AT NELSON's. Hope you'll check it out!

  • I saw her in "The Poseiden Adventure" when I was 11 and fell in love with her. Just gorgeous.

  • I saw The Poseidon Adventure in widescreen on I think AMC that boat was really rocking. I think I'd have gotten seasick. I saw Carol in Blue Denim. I felt so sorry for those children, having to get married.

  • She is so beautiful, i am lost for words.

  • Simply gorgeous..no other word for her...a real babe !! Carol Lynley, Donna Mills, Debbie Harry, Olivia Newton John and Suzan Farmer were the other beautiful women of that time.

  • I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Lynley a couple of years ago at a party and she was warm and charming. This is a nice tribute to her.

  • Feb 13 - Happy Birthday, Carol!

  • i liked her in that western film.she was 18 playing a 15 year old and i fell deep in love with her.i met her and she insisted on making love to me all throught the night, it as heavenly,it was magical, it was a dream....

  • Love Carol Lynley, wish she would get back in the Biz...

  • the first movie i ever saw, more like was brought to as i was only one year old or so, was 'under the yum-yum tree'....still one of my favorites...great cast all around....

  • Thanks mate! I hope you'l pick up a copy of HOLLYWOOD INSIDER: EXPOSED! Great stories to share--I think you will enjoy! :)

  • missed her Man From U.N.C.L.E. role! :(

  • She was so beautiful and talented -- she should work more. So nice to see this compilation - you''rea true fan and friend!

  • Aww thanks! Glad you like it. I hope you'll check out my new book, too...I'm really excited to share my Carol stories with other fans.

  • i absolutley adore her! Do you by any chance have any clips or the whole movie SHOCK TREATMENT? It's one of the few films of hers I haven't seen :(.

I made a POSEIDON ADVENTURE (1972) tribute, if you're interseted:)

  • I used to have SHOCK TREATMENT on an old VHS...recorded it off the TV. Don't know whatever happened to it, actually!

  • NelsonAspen, yes I'm a ethernal lover of Carol since 40 years, thanks

  • Carol baby!

She was one of my favorites in the 70's.

  • Thank-you for this...love Carol!

  • Some of her beauty was due to her Irish and Native American decent- which gave her beautiful bone structure.

  • Married to Michael Selsman between 1960 and 1964, Lynley has one daughter- Jill(born 1962). She had an 18 year(on-off) relationship with british talk show host David Frost(go figure!).

  • Thanks for posting this! Carol was my personal favorite for years- blond, blue eyes & fresh-faced. I was sadned/shocked to see her recently- her age is really showing(unbelievable)- perhaps due to some health issues. I never understood why she was regulated by Hollywood to "B" type movies and television dramas in the "70's-'80's.

  • What a delicate beauty she was ! When I think of the girls of the '60's, the two most beautiful were Carol Lynley and Sharon Tate. I would love to see Carol's version of HARLOW on DVD one day.

  • i love CAROL

    thanks for this

  • Carol Lynley should have been an A list super star...she was so beautiful

  • ultimate girl next door.my favorite film starring her:Bunny Lake Is Missing.

  • Bunny Lake is my favorite Carol Lynley film, too. Carol is clearly beautiful in all ages of her life.

  • everything that has been written here plus much more--thanks for this--

  • Thank you Nelson. Wonderful collection of clips of the lovely Ms. Lynley. She always had such a unique presence - the face, the voice and the body language. One of my very favorite actresses. I especially loved her 'hippie' faze right around the time of "Crosscurrent" (aka "The Cable Car Murder") from 1971.

  • So nice to see people remember Carol. A striking unforgettable face, and a wonderful actress. I grew up watching her films. She made quite an impression.

  • I was only 11yrs old when I saw her in Blue Denim. How I love her face. thnks for this video!

  • "Once You Kiss A Stranger". The pilot to "The Immortal". Oh, Carol! I was 12 in 1969 and you made quite an impression on me. A few years ago, I stumbled on "Once You.." on the Golf Channel, of all places (the movie involved the golf world). The movie holds up well, and so does Carol. Great actress, and devastatingly sexy. I wish both movies were on DVD.

  • Excellent video!

    Well done!

  • God, as a young boy I loved Carol, from Light in the Forest right through all her films of the sixties. I really missed her on screen. I remember going to a cinema in Sydney to watch Return of the Blob..just to see Carol. Bunny Lake is a great film and should be remembered...and, thanks for posting this tribute, as it brough back a flood of memories. Long live Carol, now the she exists!

  • I too watched the Bunny Lake movie on the TCM channel. It was great to see Carol. I wish they had her co-host the show, so cool to have seen her chat about the flick. What a shame that even the TCM network doesn't want older women as guests. By the way...I remember her when she guest starred on the Kolchak series with Darren McGavin. I see she was in one of the clips in this montage. Somehow she really clicked with Darren, an unlikely pair. There needs to be a Carol Lynley retrospective asap!

  • Actually, she wasn't a guest star on the series, she was his co-star in the original pilot movie which spawned the series...playing "Gail Foster," Kolchak's fiancee. Lucky guy!

  • I was only, I think, 13 years old when I saw that pilot, and the best thing I remember about was Carol, and the sadness that Kolchak felt at the end when he places an ad in the papers trying to reconnect with her. I didn't know it was the pilot. I will have to see if I can get it on Amazon. Thanks for letting me know! :)

  • I remember seeing a movie with Ms. Lynley on TV when I was a teenager in the early 1970's (Once you Kiss a stranger) and I promptly dubbed her "best legs in Hollywood". I always wondered what happened to her.

Yesterday I saw her movie "Bunny Lake Is Missing" on Turner Classic, and said to myself, "that's her! Best legs in Hollywood!" prompting me to look her up on the Internet.

Nelson, thanks for your tribute to her, it was done with taste.

  • Thank you for your kind words. When I saw TCM was running "Bunny" last night (Carol's personal favorite...isn't Keir Dullea perfect casting as her brother!?), I hoped it would stir up some YouTube interest in this little compilation. And you're right about "Once You Kiss A Stranger." She sure could wield a mean harpoon or nine iron!

  • Where's Teddy???? Love it.

  • Thanks Nelson - Carol's youtube representation is an insult to her talents - thanks for adding to it.

  • Wow very well done

  • Wow great retrospective- she's lovely!

    Great job Nelson!

  • Nelson, you f*cking kill me!!!
