@ToInfinity1 In fairness, if you're coming up behind them at that speed, by the time they see your turn signal, you've already had to brake. By flashing from quite a distance away, you can alert other drivers to your position early, and give them time to react without panicing.

I live in America, and I deal with people flashing lights on crowded southern california freeway. More often than not, they DO plow into busses and other cars, and it's infuriating.

It does not mean that it is responsible or legal to drive that fast always. Even if the speed limit is removed. For example, if the speed limit is 50 mph and it is heavy traffic and very much snow on the road, and you drive 50 mph, you are driving too fast for the situation and it is illegal. According to law, you must adapt your speed to the situation you are driving in.

I got one of these a couple weeks ago. If you downshift exactly right and find the engines sweet spot and the air temperature and humidity is ideal it goes like hell. But most of the time it only feels like a non explosively fast car. I guess I don't know how to drive it yet. When the air is cool but not to cool and everything goes right with the downshift the car is astonishing. Wind speed might also be a factor. One time it felt like the hand of god was pushing the car but other times not.

Yes, in Europe when you flash lights the person in front of you, you are supposed to move to the other lane to let the faster one overtake you. Personally I get annoyed when someone does this behind me because when I have no specific reason not to move I usually change the lane when someone faster comes behind me

In Central Europe and especially in Germany, using the brights basically means "get out of my way NOW!". Fast drivers do it sometimes when there is someone in the left lane in front of them. But it is seen as agressive and maybe you could even get a ticket for it ("drängeln").
