This song is very true to Kerala culture. This Thiruvathira song is more close to Sopanam style, which is the Kerala style of music which is quite different from the usual Carnatic South Indian style. The Architecture shown is also the Kerala style of Architecture in contrast to the Dravidian style which is prevalent in other parts of South India.

The costumes are Kerala's traditional costumes ( Set saree, chattayum Mundum, Mundu), and the dance is also Thiruvathira from Kerala.

The lead actress in the ad is definitely not a Malayali, and she looks more like a plastic doll with all the heavy make-up. Her bad hair is a proof of this fact; all other girls in the video have long beautiful hair. But, Tapasee does have the sophisticated model look which was necessary. But still, I would have personally preferred Nayan Tara in this role.

The guy looks cute, but definitely a disaster choice for this ad.

To begin with, I'm a South Indian and a Malayali. It's wrong to say that North Indian culture is not pure. How will you define pure and impure culture? Islamic culture and North Indian culture are also beautiful and are one of the many true Indian cultures. Indian culture doesn't mean Vedic Sanskrit culture; it includes all the cultures existing in the present day Indian society. For e.g, this video also shows a glimpse of Keralite Syrian Christian culture.

Your comment made me quite sad. I had the impression that South Indians are really openminded and kindhearted ppl. I´m Muslim but I think every faith, ever culture has its own beauty, whether Hindu or Christian etc. I think Hindu culture is quite fascinating and I can see a lot of beautiful things in it, like the respect for elders.

Also, I thought India was proud of having so many religions? It´s quite unique and I don´t see why it would be bad?

I´m really proud of being Muslim but I also respect that others have the right to feel just as proud of their culture. If we all belonged to exactly the same culture and so on, we wouldn´t learn as much about life. If we try, we´ll find more similarities than differences cause we´re all part of God´s creation.

We all don´t need to love everything about each other but I think just some basic respect, dignity and courtesy is a nice thing. Peace!

@Khwaab I have empathy for you,but I didn't say Islam is bad or South Indian is the best culture.I've visited a lot of archeological sights and read old documents,genetics surveys & rationally analyzed historical books.I think South India also influenced by Islam,but not much.is it good or bad? for me it doesn't matter, I'm still free of all dogmas.
