  • She sounds like a kettle

  • I watch every night

  • It shite!

  • fuck come on hurt her some more

  • HAHAHAHA 1:21 "OK, do u want a cup of tea?..." so british! :D

  • There is more than 1 born every second...

  • @Zardice1 Doesn't quite have the same ring though.. :p

  • i cry every damn time XD

  • It's funny how even on videos with such beautiful content, people still find things to argue about..

  • im not gonna have a baby now

  • giving birth is the easy part i was in labour for 72 hours no drugs eventually got so exhausted i had the whole shebang.....the pain is indescribable...looking after your child is when the real work begins!!!! congrats to all the new mothers out there!!!!

  • LOVE THIS SHOW...! hats off to our ancestors who gave birth naturally to like 5 or more kids..... GULP!

  • @mssaturn13 i so agree my grandmother had 15 children no midwife no obstetrician nothing like that and they all survived and all in their 30s,40s,50s and 60s except one daughter who died 2years ago

  • Just as period pain 4 each woman is different, so is the pain of childbirth. No one has the right to judge other women just because their labour was easy and pain free.

  • Sounds like vaccume cleaner 0:02

  • why would you want baby's and relationships for. BECAUSE....

    a) Current statistics indicate 45% of marriages will end in divorce. why would you be willing to invest the necessary time and effort into a relationship given those odds.

    b) The cost of raising a child to the age of 21 has now increased to over £200,000. Childcare costs have increased the most, at %66.5 since 2003. The data is from a recent study done by LV= and is freely available online.

  • @InfernumSound Its going to be kinda sad dying ALONE!! because of money and "statistics"

  • @redasho1.............. well the statistics say this will be most likely the case any how................... but i can enjoy the the good bits of my life with out having to put up with some daft lass and stupid kids to look after...............but hay that's just what i want to do with my time here i no its not 4 every one...there is no right or wrong to be fair

  • One Born Every Minute just came on the TV, and then I did.

  • @darkmysterychic why search for birth videos then, dickhead?

  • @darkmysterychic YOU ARE DISGUSTING!....and why search birth videos if you thought its " crap " and don't say "i was watching a video and i clicked onto this by accident" because we all know you searched birth videos or one born every minute so shut up with your stupid comments, and by the way by saying that you are calling us all "maternal chavvy baby popping scum" where do you think you came from, asshole?!

  • Now you have the chance to Thank your midwife!

  • i definitely cannot wait till i give birth to my little angel

  • Babies suck

  • wow that made my knees weak @ 0:50. the day after my daughter was born we found out her collarbone was broken. i know babies are flexable, but the do not need to grab and man handle them like that.

  • @MizzVP1987 thats what i thought; but they must get told to do that in training as they all do it x

  • This piece serves to perpetuate the fear around birth that permeates our countries! Birth doesn't have to be this way. You can just sense the distrust in the process which really effects the entire environment. So sad. There is a much better way.

  • awwwwwww

  • its strange how england has 3 times the population than australia and get 1 birth every minute yet australia gets one birth every 1 minute 45 seconds!

  • I three c sections :) now im steralised i love all three of children to peices xx

  • Where can I watch the episodes...Channel 4 has blocked it in my country

  • Is there a lnk available for us Brits living out of England.

  • Comment removed

  • can someone tell me a link for ppl in australia to watch please!

  • there we go... Bringing the birth rate down again !

  • it isnt actually as bad as half these women make it out to be.... i was 19 when i had my son and i went pain free for the first 6 hours of my 17 hour labour and the rest i just had gas and air.. yes the pain is painfull but its forgotten when they baby enters the world half these women are milking it because they are on tv

  • Just because your vagina was stretched out and loose enough to drop out a baby quickly doesn't mean every woman is faking the pain.

  • @AshleyXPaine i never said they were faking it i said milking it.......... alot of the women on this show make it sound worse than it is..........

  • @adamsmummy1 DO U HAVE CHILDREN IF NOT HOW WOULD U KNOW, THAT SHIT HURTS LADY

  • @gamagan1 um im sure i just said in my comment i HAD my SON at 19 and was in LABOUR for 17 hours or did i totaly miss that part out................

  • @adamsmummy1

"Milking it" in the context you used the term is synonymous with faking it.

Making something sound worse than it is, by definition is "faking it"

Childbirth and pain, are not things you can compare to other women.

Parents are SO quick to judge other parents, when they should be supporting one another.

Stop watching "every single episode" of some stupid show pretending you're better than other women because you gave birth differently, and spend that time with your son.

  • @adamsmummy1 UR AN ASS HOLE, EVERY WOMEN ENDURES PAIN DIFFERENTLY JERKO

  • @gamagan1 thats good to know thanks for that bit of information....... i think if your going to be an abusive twat go do it else where i had my oppinion and i never once said the were faking the pain they were in there were some genuen women who were experiencing emense pain but i have sat and watched every single episod of one born and some ( not all) of the women were milking it .. but thank you for your INTALLECTUAL opinon

  • ugghhh

  • 1:24 is just funny xD

  • I DO NOT WANT CHILDREN. EVER.

    DEAR GOD THIS IS HORRIBLE.

HOW DOES THAT EVEN FIT OUT THERE.

  • @sej3991 my sentiments exactly. except i do want children, just not have to give birth to them, eewwwww. =/

  • @sej3991 It would be a lot less painful if doctors would stop having moms lay on their backs while giving birth because it causes all sorts of problems. The best option is to stand up (with support) or crouch or kneel in some water and give birth.

  • I hope I could watch this I live in spain and I have been trying to watch over the next but the episodes that are on here are blocked by C4, i'm gutted. It looks wonderful

  • the pitched moan at the beginning sounds like an air raid siren.

  • I actually cried when joys baby was born in episode 4, I love this programme and it just makes me want to be a midwife even more!

  • best series ever! I love how nurses and dr's are all about "hold the neck" "watch the head" and they pull the poor babies out by the head and hold them up from it!! I would have killed that Dad with the glasses..he giggled and made fun of his poor wife the whole time she was in labour.."fort you was gunna have natural?" i would kick him in the jewels & said you want natural? lol

  • that's why i get the epidural before the pain starts! lol

  • its hard i say going through that pain but its worth it whn daby is born

  • 1 second ago The size of the baby has nothing to do with the amount of pain you go through, I made loads of noise throughout my labour, my baby was posterior through the whole labour and ended up being born with forceps cuz she wouldn't turn, and she was only 6 pounds...so many mums think they are stronger or braver for doing it naturally or without screaming but it's just the way different people cope with the pain...regardless of size having a baby is going to bloody hurt!

  • Comment removed

  • yuck

  • @EllieH202 You have obviously never given birth then!!! It doesn't matter about size!! Try it for yourself and see how sore it is then comment.....

  • @EllieH202 Have you had kids? It doesn't really matter on the size, weight or anything (except head size). Not all births are the same except the weight. They are all different. I cannot believe how ignorant you sound. I had a 7lb 10.5oz baby, and I know I had a pretty easy labour compared to some (6 hours, only 40 minutes was intense - all natural) but screaming is a way to cope. Also, I had a 3.5 hour labour but that was induced and that was harder, even though she was only 5lb 15. Grow up

  • fuck off you silly cow dnt tell me to grow up my mum was in labour for 4hr 25 mins was in no pain wotsoeva n i wasnt even that small n its a fact that people play up for the cameras

  • @EllieH202 I just said every labour is different, meaning that some may be able to go through with 'no pain' and some have a lot more pain and it doesn't matter about the weight. Oh my goodness you're pathetic. I don't care if she did 'play it up' for the cameras, the FACT is you couldn't possibly know what it's like for everyone or that woman, everyone's different love. There's no need for you to accuse anyone of anything

  • @wordsalad18 i neva sed any1 was the same dicked how many kids do u av then u obvi must av sum or else ur a hypocrite weight does make it painful my aunty had n 11 pound baby naturaly so imagine that

  • @EllieH202 I already said I have two kids... By saying that because of the weight of the baby she wouldn't have been in pain that is saying it's the same but only changed by weight. Oh wow, you know someone with a big baby, who doesn't? Doesn't make anyone an expert. I'm not gonna argue with your lack of knowledge and ignorance

  • @EllieH202

your mom sounds like she had a huge stretched out clown car vagina.

    shut up.

  • at the end of the day its good they show it because it shows different ways (sperm doner) leave your sexist rants to yourself theres no point putting it on here at the end of the day it is natural, they nurtured a child inside of them for 9months and gave birth just because its two women who love each other you have to create a horrid message.

  • i have looked on channel 4 website but they dnt work abroad, n the youtube 4od doesnt have the whole episode

  • please if anyone has all the episodes of one born every minute can u upload it. i live aboad and dnt have channel 4. ive seen every1 raving about it thanks x

  • u can see full episodes through youtube that channel 4 kinda upload

  • i love watching his its so great to watch............

  • that babys face at 1:24!! amazing

  • That girl in the pink pj's top and ginger hair 0:44 made a right FOOL of herself. I remeber watching it and at one point she made a comment like "i don't want the little bitch any more" i was thinking what an idiot!!

  • @SumthinMstBAvailable er excuse me have u ever been in labour people say stuff they don't mean my friend said she was going to stab hers with a knife don't mean she ment it

  • Yes I have. And er excuse me . . to say you are going to stab your child and blame it on labour pains is just dispicable and twisted.

  • @SumthinMstBAvailable yer but i didn't say it so hold on having a go at me, go shout at her.

  • @SumthinMstBAvailableshe may have been making a fool of herself but at the end of the day different people cope in very different ways & they often say things they honestly dont mean. I've had 3 children & have said some things that i did'nt mean, but I must admit I never said anything nasty about my babys. Pain does funny things to you & people should'nt be so quick to judge others on the way they act during labour.

  • Fantastic TV and love Joy so much! She even has a Facebook page dedicated to her. It was such a lovely moment when Ellie was born and seeing Joy's emotion at how happy she was a teary moment.

  • does anyone else think that loud pitched moan at the beginning sounds like somekind of aircraft taking off lol

  • lmao!

  • lke the old fashion bomb warning, joy was class the attitude of her was so typical of an overdue mum hilarious!!

  • @routex7044 ha ha yer i loved joy so funny pmsl

  • @Vodkakickgirl21 hahaaaa thought the same thing

  • @Vodkakickgirl21 no, its like an air-raid signal like in the war

  • @Vodkakickgirl21 i thought it was a siren.

  • @Vodkakickgirl21 sounds like air raid siren i thought

  • @Vodkakickgirl21 lmao!!!

  • @Vodkakickgirl21 haha yeah or an air raid siren! this was me on thursday :)

  • @Vodkakickgirl21 hahahahahhahaha

  • Loved Joy, she complains sooo much, I feel so sorry for her husband!

  • I loved the Chinese woman last night (Joy) she cracked me up!

  • those midwifes have got the paitence of saints same cant be said for the receptionist ! darling

  • Will 16th feb episode be uploaded anytime soon?? Pleeeease :D

  • All episodes are on 4ondemand

  • the plonker in 102 would drive any woman to murder...what an idiot....the title must be for him ....one born every minute. Hes either showing off for the camera or really REALLY annoying

  • Aww, The baby at 1:25 is too cute! He made the cutest, ugly little face! :-)

  • I saw the most recent ep of this on 9th Feb? and was not impressed by the one midwife who was at best patronising and worst quite abusive I thought. At least she's on film and her actions can be seen - if I were the mother I think I might complain.

  • I have seen all episodes and cant recall any midwife being abusive towards anyone? Who are you referring to?

  • The first ep with the woman who was on her 4th delivery. The midwife was 'brusque' to say the very least. Other friends have felt the same...and we are all women with multiple labours behind us..so we know the drill.

  • wow

    fast clock

  • god im glad im a bloke. but it cant be as bad as hitting ur thumb with an hammer.

  • only a bloke would think that - a sore thumb please!

  • woooo can't wait to watch this, sooooo interesting to see other people go through what i have. :o)

  • yer and you came out of 1 ur self so shut up

  • well said...lol...very witty

  • gai

  • PIG

  • PIG is for ZEB120 - What a disgusting comment to make. Total idiot

  • Comment removed

  • im scared...

  • haha The title also has a rather unfortunate reference to something P.T.Barnum said.

  • i saw this and that guy was such an asshole laughing at his wife in pain and locking her in the toilet when she is about to give birth

  • Yeah same!

  • i thought he was funny if you look carefully his wife is laughing at him any way she probs used to it it was her 4th child

  • fuckign shit im soooooooooo lucky to be a guy damn straight ladies !

  • Thank fucking christ i'm a guy

  • oh my god, pissing myself

  • ive given birth 3 times and although its painful watching childbirth totally facinates me!!

  • whats it like?, i want kids at some point. but im terrified of the pain.

  • Really it's fine because you go into your own little world. Then again my labour from the start of contractions to her being delivered was 3 hours 54 minutes! You'll be fine!

  • @KayyKayy9513 no one likes pain but your child is worth every bit of it. i cant wait to do it all again. nothing to be terrified about.....its the cycle of life :-)

  • Not as bad as it looks. I got through labour on just gas and air and in the birthing pool. Every labour is different so don't believe all the horro stories you hear. Some people like to hype it up to be somethign it wasn't.

  • ya, i've hear mixed stories about it all the time, did the birthing pool help any? like pain wise ?

  • For me it helped a lot! I was in there up until 1 or so hours before I had my son. Before the pool I was walking around, then was on the ball, and then moved into the pool. I only had gas and air upto the last hour or so. And my son was a good 8lbs 4oz. Thank god he was a few weeks early!! I have to say lying on the bed wasn't working for me. , I found the more i moved around, the easier it was to get through the contractions. It's finding what works best for you.

  • it sounds very relaxing!, ya. i heared that it was more painful for the mom to be on her back. your son sounds adorable :)

  • LUV IT MY 5TH TIME AROUND WOOHOO!!!!

  • I wish i was a Guy >>

    UGH.

  • Thank fuck im a guy Lol

But il be there every step of the way with my women :/

  • Bit morbid isn't it, krazykizza?

  • Well, you are supposedly the world leaders of cutting edge documentaries. I'd definately be a viewer and a contributor if you'd like!

  • @channel4 i cant see why some people make such a fuss about giving birth, , i had my daughter 6.12 with only gas and air with none of the screaming that you hear on this show, would go thro it all again the mora, people say its a pain you forget about but am sorry after only 2hours and 40 mins labour for my first child, i cant see where the pain is. noo need for the screaming and shouting.lol

  • @beanshiner

2 hours and 40 minutes?? who the hell are you to judge these ladies when your labour was 2 and a half hours? Did it cross your mind that perhaps your vagina is a gaping huge hole the baby easily just fell out of, and the women on the show are a little less frighteningly loose, having a harder time than you?

  • dont presume everyone's pain threshhold is like yours... i don't think you would've survived on "ONLY" gas and air if you'd had any complications or a 20 hour birth.....

  • Oh my fucking god. O_O...never....jstt never.

  • wow i'd hate to give birth!

im so glad im a guy lol

  • isn't there an easier way to have kids? I mean I've heard alot of women say it hurts and it's hard but, how bout having a baby in a egg?

  • Oh god... Puts me off having children for life!

  • @rosydonut its nothing like these people make it out lol

  • @beanshiner It is worse, much worse! Dont say youve not been warned!

  • Will the follow up be one death every minute? Just a thought for you crazy cats at C4.

  • lol i wouldnt put it past them

  • every minute, thats a lot of babies.

  • if you think about all the people in the world tho, thats about right.
