When I have a food left out, and when I try and eat it, it doesnt say eat. It says clean up.

you have to feed them old food, like if it is brown or has green gas coming out of it. then you make them eat it and they will get sick

do you know how long it takes for them to get sick? i fed my sim old maccoroni and cheese as soon as it got old. They havent threw up yet
