  • :O THANK YOU SO MUCH I LOVE YOU!!!!!

  • hi Bill i use Vegas Movie Studio HD and I love watching your videos for help but I did everything you did on this video and the video i wanted to be transparent did nothing, do you know whats wrong or maybe I did something wrong?

  • @maddyhaley8215 Be sure to create two dots on each side of the composite envelope slider. Then drag the area between the two sets of dots down, to produce the transparent effect

  • @guerillabill thank you but i just found out what i did wrong! on my editor i have to do the composite level on both videos

  • Thank you so much Bill for posting this tip video!

  • How do i make the project visual box lag less? I have a 1GHZ dual core processor and 3GB of Ram but it lags, and it makes videos hard to cut. I'm using MP4 720p 60FPS videos from my Kodak Playtouch Zi10.

Is there any settings I can adjust or should I increase my CPU priority.

  • @HonorConnor Editing HD video is very CPU and RAM intensive. Typically you'll want a multi-core (quad core or better processor), running Windows 7 64 bit, with 8 Gig or more RAM. And you'll want a dedicated video card with 1024meg RAM. Anything less, and you can expect video in the preview window to be laggy.

  • Hi Bill.... Can the audio section have a "draw " feature to allow for precise up and down volume ?

  • @evsynator See my YouTube video, 'Quick way to draw audio volume settings in Sony Vegas Movie Studio'

  • @evsynator found it ..... I did a search but didnt see it first time . Thanks a lot Bill. Amazing response time !!!!!!

Thanks for your time and effort .

  • Awesome video man! Quick question, what do you use to screen record? Please reply. Thanks!

  • @mps11397 I use Camtasia Studio to record and edit screen capture videos.

  • @guerillabill thank you =D

  • hmm... can you make a video for speeding up all the tracks at once?

  • thnx making a montage needed the tip! lol

  • Thanks Bill.... how do you get your big preview screen .... and how do you place the preview screen around where you want it ? Thanks .

  • @evsynator Find answers to your questions in my YouTube video, 'Change Timeline placement in Sony Vegas' and 'Getting Started with Sony Vegas Movie Studio 10'

  • @guerillabill .... thanks bill . Found it . I had a good look before I questioned ...... but it must have been to early in the day for me . Thank you for your time and effort .

  • Great tutorial!Thanks a lot!

  • Hi Bill! Thanks for this video. I have troubles with a combinated video of a movie with pictures. The problem is when I render the video in a .wmv format the pictures are getting cropped automatically. But if I play the file in the preview video it looks perfect. It seems that the render conditions aren't the right one for me then (1280 x 720 ; 29,970 fps). Hopefully you can help me with this fitting (crop) problem. Thanks a lot for your help! All the best.

  • @juggernoud1 In your render settings, uncheck 'stretch video to fill output frame'.

  • @guerillabill Hi Bill, I found this tick box. But it is unchecked. Now I am tring to fill in that box. Hopefully that works as when this box is empty it seems that I am getting this crop problems :S

  • Any tips for Premiere Pro CS4?

  • omg, you make me realize just How Little of Sony Vegas I actually Use!! Please do more on using ENVELOPES! Thanks so much for All that you do to help us.

  • Sweet Bill!

  • THANKS. I went to the site. Looks like an inexpensive, nice unit that takes a lot of work to get it right. I'll probably end up buying one now that I know about it. Checked the reviews and a few demos. Looks really worth it though considering I need reliable starting points just like in my audio using an analyzer. Thanks again.

  • lol this is a stupid question, but do you use Sony Movie Studio to make this video and then like render it and upload it to youtube?

  • @AllisonMileyCyrus123 I record, edit and render these tutorials using Camtasia Studio 6.

  • @guerillabill oh really? lol wow... is it better than movie studio, in your opinion?

  • @AllisonMileyCyrus123 Camtasia Studio has one purpose - to capture and edit computer screen videos. It isn't a video editing, DVD authoring tool like Sony Movie Studio. So they really can't be compared. Both do what they were designed for quite well.

  • Got any DUAL MONITOR color setting tutes? I have 2 mntrs an ASUS and an AOC. I just can't seem to set them to be even close. It's like the main colors look good but certain shades are off. Also The cam screen is one color look, the main mon is another and the 2nd mon is another. So I adjust NOTHING out of fear. You have MAY vids, I've been subscribed but could take some time to look at all your great offerings, I WILL, but not all at once. Thanks in advance! you Rock!

  • @101AOK I use a datacolor Spyder3 to set the color on my monitors. Google it and you'll see how it works.

  • @101AOK Rock? Like Blackpool Rock?

  • you never cease to amaze me; nice tut. while i'm thinking does most effects done

in movie studio plat 10, also able to do in pro 9-10?

  • @228rod Yes, almost all features in Movie Studio 10 are in Pro 9 & 10. Except motion stabilization which is in MS10 is not in Vegas Pro 9.

  • you never cease to amaze me; nice tut.

  • you never cease to amaze me nice tut

  • is this possible on sony vegas ?

  • @SpinrOfficial Yes, works the same way in Vegas Pro as in Sony Movie Studio

  • thankyou :-)

  • Like the draw option on that! Thanks again for your experience.

  • Oh this is awesome. Just two days ago I was wondering how to do this effect and couldn't do it. Thanks for showing us how Bill.
