  • great sound, check out my vids, on fdsmqkeman is my other channel... v6 stang with mac.. i do like your sound, one question, did you find an improvement with the windstar upper intake swap !?! PM me

  • Hey I was curious..I have a 99' 3.8 V6 5spd. i am replacing the motor and found an 04 3.9 V6 cammed, windstar intake,longtubes..Will i have to alter anything or will it drop right in and hook up??

  • @motox486 You should be good to go.

  • Sounds great for a 6'r!

  • Who manufactured the exhaust system? Love it!

  • @ChrisaigeProductions MAC headers, no cats, and Thrush mufflers with no cross over!

  • @Synyster06Gates so no hpipe or xpipe?

  • @elvisam86 Nope, no H or X. Divorced pipes all the way back, no cats.

  • @Synyster06Gates well it sounds amazing. good job bro.

  • is it 3.8l or 4.3?

  • sounds great

  • hey dude, how much does that justin guy charge for the tuning info?

  • @TheGuyWhoDidUrM0M IIRC for 1 tune it's $50 unless you're cammed or forced induction, then it's $80. Great deal and good guy to work with!

  • @Synyster06Gates hey man, and how does that work, can u explain the process please???? do i need to have the VMP tuning handheld thingy that u connect to the car

  • @TheGuyWhoDidUrM0M You need an SCT tuner. That's the expensive part. You buy the tuner, order a custom tune, upload it to the tuner, then flash it to the car.

  • @Synyster06Gates damn, the price tag for this project just went to 1200, i may even have to postpone it LOL, well thanks anyways for taking ur time to reply bro

  • @Synyster06Gates so wait if i buy a sct flash tuner from americanmuscle(dot)com and get the bama free customtunes for life they/there tunes r good for cams?? and its fine to run tht way and its just as good as a dyno tune

  • @minicobra01 I've heard their tunes are fine. If I would have had the money I would have done the same thing, but I got a used tuner for $110 shipped and the tune from Justin and he took great care of me.

  • @Synyster06Gates ok thats good to know..if sct email tune works from bama then im extrmely happy ....theres abs nooooo dyno's around me.....btw do u kno what power your putting down.....thers a guy with an egressive tune runing mid 230 rwhp/and 239 rwtq.....and a guy with a 4.2 puting down 227rwhp and 256 rwtq lol

  • @minicobra01 Well I'm making 300rwhp now.... but that's cause I have a Cobra.

The last car dyno'd at 212rwhp with a cracked exhaust manifold and major exhaust leaks causing the tune to be WAY off. After I did the long tubes and removed the cats, it pulled MUCH harder. I'm GUESSING around 230-235rwhp.

  • i dont kno much about exhaust systems but does a cammed engine get less gas mileage?

  • @comeup3 With all of my mods (intake, exhaust, cam, etc) I would average 25 mpg on the highway.

  • best sounding sixer i have ever heard.... you really need to put some fly by vids on lol

  • did you put the cam in ur self or did u pay a shop to do it and if you did it ur self how long did it take??

  • @minicobra01 Yes, me and a friend of mine did it. It took us about 8 hours of actually working on the cam, we accidentally dropped a bolt down into the oil pan so we had to drop it the oil pan. It didn't seal right, so we had to do it again.

  • @Synyster06Gates so do you have fly bys with wide open throttle im amazed by the epic sound

  • @minicobra01 I'm still trying to work on that. I can't trust my camera on the street around here, I need to find something that's closed, haha... I hate living in an apartment.

  • @Synyster06Gates when you put the cam in what other things did u have to modify? all ur info is greatly appreciated i am planning to cam mine as well

  • @J2K76 Just had to do the cam and valve springs, but I've been told that the springs aren't needed unless you're going over .510 lift. Cam specs are in the description of the video

  • you should make a video of drive bys, to see how it sounds

  • @kmacho714 I wish I could, haha I don't have anywhere around here that I trust to leave my camera... Maybe when I go home for Thanksgiving break I'll take the camera and tripod

  • where did you got ur cam from and the springs? thanks for ur help.

  • @kmacho714 Got them directly from CompCams. You have to call and order the cam, it's a custom grind. Then just tell them you need the springs and retainers.

  • really nice mustang. how much did you spend on cams? what else did you change?

  • @kmacho714 Cam was $350 direct from CompCams, and I got the spring and retainer kit for $150. Changed out all the gaskets, coolant, and oil to that total was about $700 to cam her. I've also got the Windstar intake, underdrive pulleys, MAC LT headers, OR divorced pipes, and a tune from Justin!

  • @Synyster06Gates sweet. not the much. so for camming all i need is the comp cams springs and gaskets? i dont really know about cams. thanks for the helo

  • @kmacho714 Here's what you'll need

    -Cam

    -Springs and retainers from CompCams

-Upper and lower intake manifold gaskets

-Timing cover gasket kit (should include water pump gaskets)

    -Valve cover gaskets

    -Complete radiator flush

    -Oil and filter

  • hey what kind of tint you have on your tail lights?

  • @kmacho714 I sprayed them with VHT Niteshades myself. 3 coats of VHT at every 5 minutes, then 6 coats of clear, one every 10 minutes.

  • sounds fantastic! you get it dyno'd yet? I bet it'll put down some pretty good numbers. You planning on going heads and intake too?

  • @itsafloater I had it dynod before the long tubes, but I had a tune problem and cracked manifold so it only made 212rwhp. I'm hoping to make about 235-240 now.

Heads are a maybe. I have the windstar upper intake already and I have a lower intake waiting to be ported.

  • @Synyster06Gates damn! those are some beefy numbers for a 6 without heads/lower intake done. keep up the good work and post more vids of this thing. 6 cylinder mustang builds are badass, especially since you're actually getting into the motor instead of just doing an intake and exhaust.

  • sounds really cool but i would rather do i it on a 4.6

  • @slipfan8 It's funny cause I make about the same power as a 4.6 for less money.

  • sounds badass man...luv it

  • How much did it cost to get it cammed?

  • @geraldsgym

$550 for the custom grind cam, springs, and retainer kit. Add in the money for the gasket kits and it was about $650. I did the work with a friend.
