Great playing as always! Those close up shots certainly show some of the wear and tear on the console-m sadly the last I looked nothing had been done to address this and it's looking even worse for wear. Some TLC wouldn't go amiss on the console. Would I be correct in saying the old Bechstein piano was still in use at this time? And is that the same crash cymbal we now have?
The console was re painted over the winter. The Grand Piano has been mothballed for some 3 years or more now. It has been replaced by a yamaha or Wersi electronic module. The origanal Crash has also been replaced by a electronic one its noware as good as the origanal but she still play's just as good.
Hi. PW -- youv'e probably read about the Brighouse Wurlitzer which is being re-insatlled at Saltaire. If you log on to ritasuebob channel you will see the 2008 Wurlitzer movies still going strong with JB at the Consol.
THANKS.....John in my opinion is the best with music that was popular from the 20s to the 60s as well as the rest. I love the tone of that organ and the ballroom.
I think John is probably one of the best organists the Tower has seen in many a long year. Thank you for sharing this wonderful music with us. Great camera work too, keep up the good work.
after all these years blackpools mighty wurlitzer is still going on strong still sounds fantastic

just a P.S. the last song on this video is my favorate. John plays it the best I've heard it. I've got to find the CD with that song on it.

I've read that this organ is no longer at the Tower, is this true and if so, what is John doing these days?

John has to be the king of melodys on the king of instruments; he's too good.
