The hardware you have in there is great, the performance change from DDR2 to DDR3 isnt even noticeable. The GTX 260 performs even with the 4870. Same with the CPU, It's much better than most people have. It shouldnt bottleneck a 5970 if you decided to throw one in there.

Swapping out the 4870 toxic for a gtx 460 wouldnt be much of an upgrade. The performance change wouldnt even be largely noticeable. The GTX 460 is considered mid range just like the 4870.

I have a CM 690 too and they are very good cases (air flow, temperature, dust filters etc), but they are not that easy to cable-manage. The psu-near hole is VERY small and the upper hole, next to the cpu power connector, is way too much unacessible. I have a 850TX and dude, I'm sttrugling to do a good cabling.

I ask because I want something like that, or maybe I could get the N520, which is almost that good and way cheaper. Good to see that it fits perfectly on the 690
nice build, modding is nicely done, i see tons of dodgy jobs :D and cable management is one of my pet peeves, i plan to do something similar when i get my cm 690...but im just gonna get the pure edition straight up, itll save a bit of hassle :D

@AJsfree2toke put the bong down and think: 1)the front draws air in-input 2)the side panel blows air on the vid cards so its in-input 3)the back fan blows air out so this would be an output 4)the top fans should blow out,as hot air rises-output 5)if you have a bottom fan put it also as an input and get a fan controller ,they run each fan and let you adjust them all individually,check it!!

gotta say thats prob the best looking cm690 ive ever seen and did a great job on the cables i would rather buy a new case than to have to mod it that much for the cables though only because im not that niffty
Very beastly case, love the red and black theme (personal 2 favorite colors). Also, what are you planning to overclock that Deneb to (assuming you will)? Other than that (and personally I'd put a 5870 in there), it looks great, definitely an enthuisiast case.

I sanded the chrome off with some 800 and 1000 grit sandpaper. Then sprayed with plastic paint from wal-mart.

In the manual it shows there is a few tabs on the top, push them all in and pull and it pops off, took me a while too.
