  • One of the best Funk songs in the late seventies. It was played on Radio Novi Sad (Yugoslavia) at "For your pleasure" daily mix of best music ever. Later become "must" in my radio shows,...

  • Wow,Baiasound

  • I'm packing up my afro pick, rainbow socks, booty shorts and my gold sequin zipup jacket. I'm going find somebody else to love.

  • Has anyone ever lived this song? I know I did. Back in the day, you could just play a song for your mate/spouse and they could relate, and they understood where you was coming from. I love songs that are funky and meaningful. The Jones Girls had quite a few ladies singing this song to their men. LOL!! This is s sho-nuff classic!

  • This is "real talk"

  • I hope I can find another church to go to that has some sense. I feel just like loving another religion.

  • This song has good bass and it is got good musical notes pitches and the singers are awesome.

  • I like this song because that is how I feel toward the church I go to. Sometimes dealing with church folk is hell on earth.

  • This song was the jam....and for the record could folks stop posting negative crap on here you mess up the whole mood while people are reminiscing.....It is quite foolish....Let's grow up and stop cyber-bullying because 9 times out of 10 you folks would not say it to someone's face....So, stop the drama. Our freedom of speech and media has gone too far.

  • @diamondring1000: There are plenty of women who are not owrthy of a VERY GOOD MAN either!! Some women work against their man and chase him away...BIG MOUTH types always talking trash causes the man's love to die after awhile. If women of today STOP trying to act like men and learn their place in the relationship then men wouldn't be so turned off and have to go get it somewhere else. So you SEE what you said has some truth to it...but it goes both ways. Women of today need to act like ladies.

  • The Joneses lone top 40 pop hit, peakin' at #38. RIP, sister Valorie. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Have a great week!

  • SING IT GIRLS!!!

  • I wasn't born either and I looooooovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeee this song too!!!

  • Bring back the soul and bring back the FUNK! Bring it on BACK!!

  • they are from detroit ; not philly get it right lol

  • @robbudah Motown... Even BETTER! :) Although I love TSOP too. :D

  • this was a time when women were not generally discontented, but when they were they still made good music. it's hard not to miss those days.

  • Always to songs that ended the nights at 'The Second Floor" in NYC. lolololol

  • @Paragon9000 Please believe it...

  • just freakin Hott!

  • One of the hottest songs from the 70s or any era. When the DJ put it on you expected smoke to come from the turntable. It is a song that gets better with age and is one of those songs you can listen to over and over. The Jones Girls were one of Philly's best, but underappreciated acts.

  • @falconsports0809 AAAAAAMMMMMMEEEEEENNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!

  • the Joneses hit #38 in Billboard, 8-18-79, God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! RIP, Valorie.

  • If you don't treat your woman right, somebody else will.A woman's ex is another man's treasure.

  • this song may apply on the dance floor too in the late 70s, which is why I like it.

"aint dumb, and I aint stupid."

  • I absolutely luv this song!

  • dig the funky sway

  • wow

  • This is music...

  • When a women drops this line on you...You've been told once and only once! Keep playin'.....LMAO

  • 2 people have already started loving somebody else!

  • 2 dislikes . . .really?? How could yu not like this qoodness !

  • @AlluringCEE sweetie those dislikes must be from somebody's man lmao

    be blessed

  • @diamondring1000: Trust me when i tell you...that goes both ways. There are just as many men who feel the same way about some of these no good women out here today. Always wanting to be treated like ladies but yet they display no qualities of a lady. A rose by any other name is still a Rose and a Ho by any other name is still a Ho. This comment is not directed at all the ladies out there but to the ones it applies to.....wear it. You attract a certain type to you because of the person u r.

  • A classic!!! A song that makes sense as well!!

  • Omqq i just turned 15 yesterday and this is my fav. song

  • i feel like this

  • Woww!! another great staff from the sisters. This track was so famous even my granny use to move with it that tells you how great it is and was. For me it's another classic again which will never fead just like the other great R&B songs at that time.

  • Hey I love this bass line its funky!

  • That bass line in the beginning of the song is tight!

  • my jam back in the day .. i was in the 10 th grade. the eve after dark club on avalon blvd in compton

  • I ain't dumb, and I ain't stupid... Sometimes up, sometimes down...Philly and Detroit sure knew how to sing the passion of girls gone sad 'bout their love.

  • Say the ladys are saying stop doing what your doing wrong but some times as men we can jast lat a go thing walk out and weman do it to .one

  • I USED TO BLAST THIS IN MY TEENS AND I'M A LATE 70'S BABY!!! THIS IS WHAT I GREW UP ON AND THIS IS REAL R&B SOUL!!!!!! REAL SANGIN AND LIVE INSTRUMENTS... NO COMPETITION

  • Hey sassybossladi, do you wanna hustle with me?

  • @sassybossladi

As long as we're slow dancin! (hee, hee!)

  • @sassybossladi Ya WANNA ?

  • this the jam miss the early 80s. late 70s. they were one hit wonders.

  • one of the sisters died in 2002; she was 45, it was valerie

  • These ladies were one of the best groups from back in the day. I still say, ole school has the best music. Real talent was all we has. People performed in their nice stage clothes. They can never be upstaged.

  • This is one of the best groups in the music buss,,, great vocals, great beat, great, sound, just timeles,, these Diva s can sing, with the best of them, that are out now, great song. Thank You for the goose bumbs,, ( WJLH ) you made my day,, Bless You ,, and peace and love.. BRAVO!!

  • I was in the Persian Gulf ... this song got me thru hard times.

  • Jones Girls started out as background singers for the likes of Diana Ross..watch Diana guesting on Midnight Special episode DVD, that's them backing her on Supremes medley and Love Hangover. Loved this song from the hot summer of 1979!

  • luv this song. Most men nowadays need to hear this

  • @Taygal678 hah love this post, I am listening

  • there is a rap remix directly from this song it has a copywrite problem, how do you listen to it? it is hawt and hilareous it is on a j-z sampler

  • OLDSCHOOL

  • Angelic voices and the music is smooth & sweet just like me. LOL

  • I love this song - this is real R&B Music: lyrics, chrous & actual harmonies!

    Fantastic!

  • I remember this song as a little boy. My brother played alot of old school hits. I think these women are from Detriot surprise that Barry Gordy didn't discover these women. This is real singers at their best.

  • Words can't explain it better than this song!

  • Just had to add this. I know this is disco, and I know the lyrics are repetitive, but YGMMLSE really feels as like a reply to 'Thin Line Between Love and Hate'. In 'Thin', *He* reckons she never said anything, she just flipped. *Her* reply in this track shows that she kept warning him, but he didn't listen.

Tell him all about it, girls!

Oh yeah, and a loop of the intro makes a smoking ringtone. Enough people will want it off you!

  • Philly tuuuuuune!!!

Jones Girls were a much under-rated group. I regard them as the 'Sister Sledge' for *real* soul heads. Much thanks for this.

  • NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN !

  • Hit #5 soul, #38 pop in Billboard. 1 hit pop wonder. RIP, Valorie. God bless!

  • The guitar licks are smooth like silk
