yeah get it right i was in the tuba sec that year at jackson me and ronald was the section lewader and we didnt have 5 we had 8 in the sec and ralph know who we are
Another factor is the lack of band directors that actually stay at one school for more than three years, most directors leave after obtaining their Masters Degree. I must say that being in the that band that year gave me alot of discipline, and responsibility to be successful in life.
@Marcosb365 That happen to my school 2003-2005. Band Director got fired and brought in a awesome new band director and changed the band around for the good. Then after I graduated, he left and now teaches at another school. It band hasn't ever been the same when he left. I don't remember the last time i saw my high school band march at a competition. It hurts my soul to see those kids will never have the same experience I had when I marched.
To JFB2022, The Trombone Section from that year would have been ready for anything, me,eric, punchy, mike, terrance, fredo, braylon,Jose,George of the Jungle(cant remember his name),dam we were the bomb, my question to all of you is, why are all Middle School, and High School Marching band are so low in number, and quality musicians?
LOL...You might wanna talk to Ralph about that year before you make comments. Ralph knows what time it was in 98 & 99. So as far as us seeing Jean and Ralph, I think that battle would have been best if seen at that time. Ralph is my #1 dawg. So talk to him before you speak on us.
lol Yall sounded good for only 5 Tubas, but that doesnt mean yall blew them out lol Yall woulda had a tough time with Ralph and Jean Alone lol But Im not Hating, Just saying lol Much love though. Yall were one of the few bands, although small, made Marching band very interesting. lol I wanna say this particular year we went to MLK parade in St. Pete amd we fell asleep in the stands till yall came on the field. I was like that damn jackson.... Now we actually gonna have to play lol
i dont remember that. My section was suspended that game so I heard both bands. Punchy and Braylon them would not have been ready for our trombones. Instead they were striking up on 1st year band members without a section leasder.

The tuba section blew central out with only 5 tuba's. We didn't play. I was the section leader from 96-99. Big up's to Brutus.
