  • its stuff like this that got me into old dozers and tractors thanks for the vid

  • What uninspiring landscape. Where is this. ?. Big contrast to what we have here in New Zealand.

  • jarrod4020, this tractor originally came with the AC(Buda) engine which has gone obsolete, the LaNova injection was only used for a few years and then updated to direct injection in the latter AC engines and very little if any parts are available. That engine sat open for many years and was nothing but scrap and I had the 6V-71, so in it went, and it went in very nicely at that. Some hate Detroits and some love them, I am somewhere in the middle. Thanks for the response Tad

  • I aint gunna lie......that looks like fun.......

  • why would ac put a damn detroit in there when they made their own engines, good engines?

  • @jarrod4020 Maybe the detroit engines were cheaper to buy than they could make their own engines for, and maybe the detroits were easier on the driveline.

  • @daw162 yeah i didn't think of it in that way, that could be true

  • @jarrod4020 In the 50's allis had gms in all their crawlers, the engine they called their own is actually a buda engine which they purchased

  • those ol ag cats were sure awesome machines dad is looking for a HD11B ag-cat I believe.

  • the area and dozer reminds me of tremors lmao

  • It's not exactly "straight up" now is it?

  • Freakin love the twin stacks!!!!!!!

  • hellhound13131 Now that it is painted (check out video #5) I have been thinking about chrome stacks, may be 4 or 5 inch with turnouts at the top, bigger pipes should really make it sound off. Thanks for the comment; Tad

  • Great machine

  • Badass

  • have her full whack or engine damage will happen. treat that engine like it's your wors enamy and it'll last longer

  • Nice conversion. I like that you kept the side panels. How much weight does the hard nose add? I have put Detroits in several tractors, nice to see someone else with a similar "crazy streak". I would really like to put a 12v in something someday. Are you in Washington State?

  • Thanks, Funny thing, I set the engine back about two inches from where I though it should be for fan clearance, good thing I did, the exhaust manifold just cleared on the left hand side. The engine wieghs right at a ton, the hard nose was not real heavy maybe 1/2 ton , as you can see this tractor pulls wtih all the track on the ground, very flat. We call it Powernoshift. A 12V-71 in a rat rod truck, straight pipes and a jake. I live in the central coast of ca.

  • @tadebb nice one! what else would work for putting in one of these? People would've thought you were driving an 18-wheeler if they didn't see the carwler, i bet.

  • @Fireheart528 The 8.3 or L10 Cummins are also a great candidates for this application, the 6V71 was something that I had. It is quite loud, maybe I need to install a Jake Brake just to drive the point home. :-). Thanks for the input. Tad

PS I have since re-installed the straight pipes from video #5.

  • Can anyone tell me why there wasn't a straight 6 series 92 made?

  • They didn't make any in-line "92" series, I don't know why, maybe because they had the "110" series for that.

  • mostly because they wanted more displacement in a shorter engine package

  • Fine family viewing!

  • Great machine! Sounds like a 2 stroke.

  • Thanks for the comment, it is deffinitly a two stroke.

  • haha i seen the ear muffs

  • Sounds awesome!

  • woow she sounds and runs awsome, talk about ur ears ringing at the end of the day
