Romario was crucial in classifying brazil to 2002 world cup. I dont understand though how he was cut off the tournament after all his contributions.

At 35 years old he was still better then all of the young players like Ronaldo and Rivaldo.

Sad he was left out of the world cup by dirty politics.

no... he was on offside but he returned to line so when the pass wass kiked he was en line and don't cause an offside. only players with alot of experience realized of that things en middle of a game

exactly. if you freeze the clip on the 48th second, you can clearly see how romario was on the same line as the dude guarding him. too bad that was the only memorable moment of that game, even though brazil went on to take the cake in germany...
