Its a computer thing computer run on three digits in time "999" they thought if 2000 happend all major tech computer would reset. 2012 is based on astronomical calculation about possible events that might happen in 2012, even NASA predicts might happen 2012-13. Solar flares happen once ever 11-13 years but this is supposed to be an extreme one happening once ever 20k years. Or a shift in mental dimension state in some theory.

@Sophenomenos I could you you a long list of reasons but to start with it has the worst seating angle of any stadium . When your in row 50 at Sky Dome you are further away from the field then if you were in row 100 at any other stadium . Horrible horrible design .

@Happynot5 It has the accoustics of a sewer pipe . It has horrible sight lines at both ends it has a very very cold feel to spectators do to vast uncovered concrete areas . The retractable roof maintenance cost has been 10 times what the designers said it would be over the life of the stadium , should i keep going ?
