i dont agree with tip tax....but if you don't like your job, go get a new one! If you can't find a new one, then figure out how you can find a job you like, start a business, minimize your spending....

just don't expect me to keep paying high taxes so you can mooch... I work my ass off to put my self in a position to enjoy what I do, and make enough money to pay the bills and invest for the future.

my wife is a server and has been one for many years, and shes lucky if she makes min wage! she is paid 2.13 per hour by applebees! Law should be made so all companies have to pay everyone min wage. Tips should not be taxed either! Tips are tips!!!!!!! Period!!!!

@JupiterFarmsMom wow your pretty harsh i tip 20% and 90% of the time it is cash so they don't have to claim that on their taxes . a question for every one else would you support a flat tax of 12% and get rid of all credits including child tax credits because if you're making about 40k a year you get a lot of tax credits so you're really not paying your fair share and if you have kids then you're getting a check at the end of the year instead of paying in to the fed

@JupiterFarmsMom hey i used to be a cook at a bar were wait staf brought home at least 100 to 200 on slow night and week ends you can double or tripple that so i dont think they will be hurting

Or are you mad that you made 9 bucks and hours while the servers claimed only 2% of their nightly tips? Im all for smaller government, but punishing those who make more money than I do is not smaller government to me.

@theglenlivet12 the tip credit if i understand it the right way will save bar and restaurant owners money. when you raise the minimum wage the wait staff get a raise that comes out of the owners pocket . and you don't get increased productivity . that increase the customer sees when he goes out to eat and the prices are raised. in this economy price raising is a bad thing . its all about making as much money as possible to make sure self and family are well taken care of .
