One day we will see together anyway..we have a bull mastiff, his name is Troy, 4 years old,165 pound, his adorable..i am thinking ...GOD Please if we loose one day let me see him again....in the sky... in the wind...Love you all!
Awwww nice video!. I had a bullmastiff named John. I give him up tho but, miss him lots. I will have another one day, this time as a puppy....they are such awsome dogs with such great temperments, my son used to climb all over John and he would just lay there....
I just finished bawling my eyes out to this video, as well as laughing my arse off lol.
I had a bull mastiff mix, he basically looked like a mini mastiff. His temperment looks like it was exactly like your boys, I can tell from the dorky pictures lol. I lost him to a summer storm (along with our other dog). It's been two years, and it still feels like yesterday. Thanks for posting your video, it was awesome :-)
Ah....that made me cry, Thank you for sharing your Rocky with us, we have two Cane Corso Italian Mastiff's...what a gift of irreplaceable memories they give to us...they are the true blessings in life aren't they? RIP Rocky
Im sorry my English is not so good ! I lost my Bullmastiff too ! Bullmastiff are the best Dogs of the World ! My Bullmastiff Hulk looks down to us from the sky ! I can feel with you !
My heart goes out to you. My bullmastiff is still just 8 months..but it's so hard to replace the bond you have with your animals. I'm sorry for your loss..but hopefully you realize a little piece of him stays with you. God Bless.
I am so so sorry for your loss and my heart goes out to you! This video and all of your pictures are absolutely wonderful. I cried through most of it but the pictures were so beautiful that oddly enough I was smiling just as much! Take care of yourself and God Bless!
My dog died 1 year ago. We miss her so %&#@ much. It´s sick. She was my soulmate my joy and my shelter in the storm. Are looking for a new one, it´s so empty in our lives with out that loving wonderfull charming dog.
Mine died 2 years ago at a young age of 4, I miss him like mad still and this video has made a grown man cry like a baby. They are amazing dogs and anyone who has had one will understand.
have a bullmastiff he is only 6 months and im a 28 year old man in tears watching this and i know i'd be in bits if and when i loosehim.great video thank you
It's amazing to see how many bullmastiff all over the world have touched peoples' hearts. I have two beautiful bullies and they are fantastic, loyal, funny, put up with just about everything and now I am going to go and give my two tearaways a hug .. that's if I can wake them up and stop them snoring :-)
Could you please tell me where you got this dog? I'm looking for a bullmastiff and I want one just like this! What a beautiful dog! Please post a response! Thank you!
Sparky, I never get tired of watching this clip. My Bullmastiff, Jake, passed away in February at the age of 8 and I get very emotional every time I see this, even though I know rocky is alive and well in Vancouver with a different owner. You take great pictures and I love your videos. Keep them coming!
I just wanted to say thanks for sharing. It was a fantastic video.
A Bullmastiff is a very special breed and one that will touch your heart. When the breed does touch your heart, as it has mine. There will always be room for more Bullmastiffs in your life. They are all induvidual and each very special and can spark the deepest of emotions. It's good to know that Rocky is happy and living well and I'm sure he will never forget the good memories he shared.
to everyone asking what happnened to him i think that he didn't pass on, but she had to go back to hong kong and gave her dog to someone else, a guy, to look after. As the video actually is in America, and she does say she moves to a new city, but at the end it says it was made in Hong Kong. Anyway thats what i think happened, Rocky's not dead hes just with someone else!

im so sorry no one would understand how truly amazing bullmastiffs are unless they had one .I love my MIA so very much she one of my precious children.
That's one of the sweetest, saddest videos I've ever seen. It's obvious you gave your Rocky the best life a dog could ever want. Thanks for sharing such a touching piece of your life.
He will be waiting for you and I know this year 2008 is really hard on you. Just remember he is with you all the time and for the idiot's who didn't understand the video and for the dumb response they had left delete them. I dread the day that I will be going through the same thing. My male looks just like him, I hope you get another one soon. Love always D-
I have to say how sorry I am for the loss of your mate, heart wrenching video.I know how you feel and its such a loss when we lose the ones that mean so much to us.I have 2 and they surely do know us inside and out.
What a beutiful dog. It seems that you really had fun together. What a nice way to remember those times. Great pictures and great work on the video. Thank you!
OMG I cried when I saw this video. I sent my dog to live with my parents because they're having some security problems in their neighborhood. My Rex is super nice to everybody but he's big and that's all anybody sees. I was really worried about something happening to my parents but after seeing this I realized how much I missed my dog. Thanks for putting it up.
i have a bullmastiff named rocky too. this made me cry because i may have to give him up. I'm doing everything in my power not to but i want to thank you for this. it's going to make me fight harder to keep my guy.
Economically, i've fallen on very hard times. i cant afford the house i live in and cant find a place where i can bring him and my other 2 dogs. I'm very very sad about this
Hey there, I don't have a Bullmastif but I felt so much sadness in the pit of my stomache when you were mentioning that he was gone. I have a question for you and anyone else who considers themselves pet lovers."If you and your family were in a housefire after callecting your kids would you run back in to get your pets too? Or if you were the only one in the fire with your pet/s would you refuse a rescue unless your pet gets rescued at the same time or before?
I thought about this question when Hurricane Katrina happened. In the evacuation no pets were allowed on board. I saw the Animal Rescue TV program later that year showing lots of dogs were left on the roof waiting for their families to come back for them. Some gone crazy, some were starved to death. That was very sad. I won't leave without my dog. Also people like to ask how much money you would take to let go your pet. This is just a question beyond question.
TY Sparky for the comment. When you are a pet owner you tend to love them so much that they are indeed part of your family. If you were to lose one it is like losing a child or something. I can't understand why some people would just forget about the pets in an accident or a fire. I have 3 cats and two dogs. Personally,I would save everything else first then myself last.
esquemedarisa, hi I was wondering are Bullmastiff good with other pets. I have two outside cats and 5 big birds. I had a ST. Bernard and she was great with them. I played with a 5 month old Bullmastiff, at a pet store two day ago and I think I want his, but Iam unsure how he will be around the other pet???, Mark.
awweee.. i love watchin this video and reminds me of me and my bullmastiff LOCO.. =).. they are so big and fun... but i hate cleaning up there big POOPS they have lols.. but very good video... i wish my dog lives long.
I have a bull mastiff and they are so lovely and care towards you I could not go a day without see my doggy Your dog looks alot lyk myne and it's gorgeous thanks for sharin the memories
Ok, here's my take on what happened. . .Correct me if I'm wrong. Rocky DID NOT DIE. Sparky had moved to a new city, possibly a relative or a boyfriend. Here she met Rocky, the beautiful Bull Mastiff we all see. She has befriended him like no one else. They clearly shared a special bond over what may be a couple of years.Either the relationship ended or you needed to move away, and Rocky was left behind.
WOW that is such a wonderful looking dog. I loved all those pictures. I am crying its so sad. I am so happy to know that that dog had a great life. I am so sorry for your loss. He sure is a handsom guy! how did he die?
this video is the saddist i have seen in a long time i to have bull mastiffs one that is 3 and 1 that is 6 mounths but we have a rotty/hound that is 17 this year and is a huge part of our family and this yideo reminds me about how much fun we have had before i leaves once
"Cletus" was my best friend. One day he escaped my pickup truck to search for me in a huge shopping mall.
Soccer moms pushing baby strollers and mall rats took one look at my panic-stricken face as I ran, and pointed the way. Fortunately, I did not find him wallowing in the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday's!
A big dog in shopping mall? That would be funny! Rocky likes to explore new places, but he is not good at crossing street and doesn't have good memory about his directions. That's why we don't leave him alone in open area or walk without leash.
What a beautiful dog. Gentle giants I'm told. My dad has a fawn mastiff girly of 11 weeks old. She and my staffy are great together, though she's more mischievous in my place, cos I'm not adolf hitler.
Wow..I have just cried my eyes out watching your video of Rocky. What a great Bullmastiff. I too have just lost my Bullmastiff, Anabel, and I cried the whole way through remembering all the happy times we had and how I miss her every day. Your video of Rocky shows that you loved him with all your heart. X
I had a Bully name Bud for 12 years. Losing him was like losing my heart, so I understand how sad you must feel. I used to 'pick' on my guy all the time too. I think he liked it when we dressed him up. :)Rocky was just as lucky to have you as you were to have him. I'm sorry that you can't be together anymore. What an incredible bond you two had. And yes, I know that dogs talk. Peace to you.
I cannot imagine what you are going thru. I thought I was close to my Lab. You have given Rocky a good life. I am honored to watch your clip and hope you give another dog a chance at a wonderful life like Rocky had.
I cried through the whole video my very loving and protective Great Dane/Lab puppy (100pounds!), Brownie, just kept patting me with his foot and licking my face until I stopped. I have never loved any animal like I love this dog and I am truely afraid of the pain I will feel when I have to say goodbye. He is a piece of me now.
I lost my bullmastiff, Blaine, on Jan 28, 2007. Watching your video made me cry and laugh at the same time. Thanks for helping me to remember so many great times from the last 10 years. I miss him so much, I can imagine how you feel. Thanks again for sharing something so special.
I am so sorry about your lost. Rocky is a good companion. Running with him made me feel so happy and all the stress just got left behind automatically. I can say all my life, the most wonderful times were those "walking time".
My heart just breaks for you. I cried and cried. I have a "Rocky" and I love him with all my heart. We're so blessed when these childlike creatures come into our lives. I watch my Buddy's muzzle turn to grey knowing that day will someday come and a tear comes to the corner of my eye. Bless you for the love you had to give this precious baby. I'm so sorry.
Rocky looked to be a wonderful dog and so lucky to have you. I lost my bullmastiff Dexter last March and life is hard without him. Your video made me cry. RIP Rocky. Let's hope Rocky & Dexter have met and are running free over Rainbow Bridge. Christine xx
best vidio on you tube i will buy you another rocky if you need 1 i know he wont be the same but the offer is there i have lost a bullmastiff in my life to i will never get over it either
Newton looks identical to Rocky! It is scary! Seriosuly! Newton sleeps with us and does everything with us. I raised another bullmastiff about 10 years ago back in college for 4 years and 2 years ago I was bit by one and decided to get Newton soon after so I can show the world what wonderful dogs they are. I just cried and am not afraid to admit it when I saw your video, my fianc'e did as well. We love Newton dearly and don't know what we would do without him----Greg
You should put up Newton's video to see if they look so much alike! I actually met one bullmastiff that looks like Rocky on the street couple years ago, then I found that they are brothers according to the information of the owner!
I used to have a bullmastiff too. He attempted to bite someone in the family in defense for his abused eye. Not intentional at all. He was protecting himself. We ended up giving him back to the breeder sadly because we never wanted it to happen again. It was devastating and i miss him soooooo much!!! :'(
Dogs will get mad too somehow, even they are a gentle type. But sometimes it's because of the size of the dog make people think they are too dangerous to keep...small dogs bite too but people are okay with it...I am sorry about what happened.
I had a Bullmastiff too. His name was Samson, he was red brindle, and he looked like a tiger. He was the most gentle dog ever. Funny thing about him, he was scared of everything!!! He was like Scooby Doo!!! He was really scared of my mom. My mom pretended to be a ghost once and scared him, he tried to run and hide under the kitchen table. But he was so big and strong he knocked the table and all the chairs over.
So as Rocky! He is scared of water. Everyone has to stop moving while he drinks water, otherwise he won't drink. He is scared of motion light, bumble bee, singing doll...really a big goof!
I am sorry about what happened to Samson. I like his name.
I also have a bullmastiff left hi with my pareants when he was still 3 mos. He goes with the kids. I'm dying to see him again on Dec. Yah what happen to Rocky? I love your video
Bullmastiffs, especially are bonded to their owners. He is probably worried sick about you. These dogs are like human beings. I had one many years ago that passed away peacefully. Every time I think about her, I cry and especially after seeing your video...I cannot sleep. Hope you see him again!
Yes, he is totally like human! He does understand my words and feelings which is hard to make others believe. He learned my language secretly. One time I was talking to my friend that I wanted to bring him for a car ride over the phone, he heard that then quickly jumped up and ran to the door...that scared me a lot.
This video did really touch my heart, but I did not understand did the dog get given away or did they owner pass away this really bothered me. I hope all was well.
One day we will see together anyway..we have a bull mastiff, his name is Troy, 4 years old,165 pound, his adorable..i am thinking ...GOD Please if we loose one day let me see him again....in the sky... in the wind...Love you all!

esquemedarisa, hi I was wondering are Bullmastiff good with other pets. I have two outside cats and 5 big birds. I had a ST. Bernard and she was great with them. I played with a 5 month old Bullmastiff, at a pet store two day ago and I think I want his, but Iam unsure how he will be around the other pet???, Mark.

"Cletus" was my best friend. One day he escaped my pickup truck to search for me in a huge shopping mall.
Soccer moms pushing baby strollers and mall rats took one look at my panic-stricken face as I ran, and pointed the way. Fortunately, I did not find him wallowing in the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday's!
born2balive 4 years ago
A big dog in shopping mall? That would be funny! Rocky likes to explore new places, but he is not good at crossing street and doesn't have good memory about his directions. That's why we don't leave him alone in open area or walk without leash.

What a beautiful dog. Gentle giants I'm told. My dad has a fawn mastiff girly of 11 weeks old. She and my staffy are great together, though she's more mischievous in my place, cos I'm not adolf hitler.

Yes, Rocky is definitely a piece of me. Big piece.

We love Newton dearly and don't know what we would do without him----Greg
glaksla 4 years ago
You should put up Newton's video to see if they look so much alike! I actually met one bullmastiff that looks like Rocky on the street couple years ago, then I found that they are brothers according to the information of the owner!
Sparky804 4 years ago
I used to have a bullmastiff too. He attempted to bite someone in the family in defense for his abused eye. Not intentional at all. He was protecting himself. We ended up giving him back to the breeder sadly because we never wanted it to happen again. It was devastating and i miss him soooooo much!!! :'(

Dogs will get mad too somehow, even they are a gentle type. But sometimes it's because of the size of the dog make people think they are too dangerous to keep...small dogs bite too but people are okay with it...I am sorry about what happened.
Sparky804 4 years ago
I had a Bullmastiff too. His name was Samson, he was red brindle, and he looked like a tiger. He was the most gentle dog ever. Funny thing about him, he was scared of everything!!! He was like Scooby Doo!!! He was really scared of my mom. My mom pretended to be a ghost once and scared him, he tried to run and hide under the kitchen table. But he was so big and strong he knocked the table and all the chairs over.
He was hit by a car about 3 years ago.
grandmasterbatorD 5 years ago
So as Rocky! He is scared of water. Everyone has to stop moving while he drinks water, otherwise he won't drink. He is scared of motion light, bumble bee, singing doll...really a big goof!
I am sorry about what happened to Samson. I like his name.

Bullmastiffs, especially are bonded to their owners. He is probably worried sick about you. These dogs are like human beings. I had one many years ago that passed away peacefully. Every time I think about her, I cry and especially after seeing your video...I cannot sleep. Hope you see him again!
breane1958 5 years ago
Yes, he is totally like human! He does understand my words and feelings which is hard to make others believe. He learned my language secretly. One time I was talking to my friend that I wanted to bring him for a car ride over the phone, he heard that then quickly jumped up and ran to the door...that scared me a lot.
Sparky804 5 years ago
This video did really touch my heart, but I did not understand did the dog get given away or did they owner pass away this really bothered me. I hope all was well.
