In Britneys case its justified, as well as Ayu, I dont think THIS performance is lipsynched its the STUDIO that edited the dvd they filled in the missing parts when her mic wasnt at her mouth, they shouldnt have done that!

@propertyofjoey Pretty much, but every pop singer in the world has their studio back-up vocal when performing. She sings over it just fine throughout the whole thing, so this can rightly be considered live.

Well, Ayu does lip sync, but it's not like American stars. She does it when she's dancing so much it's not possible to sing properly at the same time, or when she has a throat cold, and it would be worse to sing then to lip sync. I don't blame her for it, all stars have to at some point, and I still love Ayu. This is NOT meant offensively, it's just the truth.

@EsChibi, actually she DOESN'T lip sync. When she sings @ a concert like this, she sings live, but when her company makes a DVD of it and sells it, they fix her voice and any instrument flaws. You can compare a video that is untouched (youtube.com/watch?v=ACqh3HGsA­wo) to a video that has been fixed (youtube.com/watch?v=HY2o2L_lw­UM&feature=related) and they're are alot of video comparisons like these.

@EsChibi Well no, she doesn't lip sync. Some times they have the song playing in the background to get in all the harmonics (even if there are backup singers) and she sings along with it...they do that often in japanese songs...like you said, not like american singers ;)

I wonder if it's because "A Song for XX" is older, therefore more of her fans in the Asia part of the tour would know it better than "is this LOVE?" possibly?

Although "is this LOVE?" is pretty popular despite its release date.

Who knows? Maybe she just wanted to change it up.

'A Song For XX' being older is exactly the reason why she played it in the Asia part of the tour and not in the Japan part. In the 2007 Asia Tour she was going to play a new song in the encore but was told by her staff that in the hearts of foreign fans older songs are better because for starters they're rarer to hear live. Also, Japan hadn't heard much of 'is this LOVE?' live since the 2006 Asia Tour.
