yo its a panther a while back the government released them to stabalize the deer population but then kept it secret and try to say they never did it. those blaack panthers have gps chips in them too so if u shot 1 u get arrested

I believe it my son and grandson took pictures of tracks from a big cat,in louisville,chase mills area.about a month ago.

looks small but its not bobcat. its like some big feral cat but small for a cougar.

i live in norwood and my dad had one jump out of my tree stand openin mornin of muzzleloader 2010, just 3 or 4 miles out of town

A large black cat or panther is the melanistic colour variant of the Jaguar or the Leopard. Black panthers typically found in Latin America are Black jaguars. In Asia and Africa they are black leopards. In the North East, the only big cats ever to exist are the cougar (Puma/Mountain lion), Bob Cat, and Lynx. i got trail camera photo of mountain lion behind raymondville corner store on rt.56 beleive it . mountain lion my pic is of a full grown 4ft at back. they are here and populating

looks like a large house cat, however i too have seen a extremely large cat on rt 37 on the bridge above the grasse river. it was large and tan with a very long tail, it was no fox, it was close to the size of a medium sized dog.

Great proof that there's big cats in NY, saw one on the catskills this summer and people laughed at me because i had no proof...

p.s. don't even think of bringing this to the DEC they will tell you there's no big cats in NY.

Have not seen it since! All I can say ,is it is not a bobcat seen them,not a coyote and certainly not somebodys house cat!
