As I see it Game Informer just advertises popular games to draw more customers to GameStop (y'know the guys who sponsor the magazine). Basically what they do is give games a number in big text, and then write really long reviews that don't even match the number cause they know people are too lazy to actually read. For example, in their Persona 4 review they gave the game an 8 out of 10, but the review sounded like the game deservd at least an 8.75 or 9.
@TheCaWaLa They gave the Wii version of Goldeneye 007 (Which got great scores) a 6.5 and they gave 007 Blood Stone (PS3/Xbox, which got mostly 5/10's) a 7.5. Need I go further.

LOL I don't like Game Informer either because they give good games very low scores. For example, they gave Wii Party a 4.5 out of 10. 2. Have you ever played the game? Brutalitly =/= Head on fighting. Try playing the game head on with no stealth against 5 marines. Not to fun when you are getting killed because you didnt use stealth eh?
Remember ye olde arcade game where you could play as Arnold ("Dutch" Schafer)? And he was a cyborg! Never understood why the machine gun built into his arm faces backwards, though. I guess because his primary attack was a Hellboy style fist and the machine gun was only a secondary attack (it played like Final Fight). Dutch was kinda like the AvP arcade game's equivalent to Mike Haggar (who looks exactly like Jesse Ventura, I might add).
game informer gives good reviews, id rather a reviewer give a lot of low scores than a ton of 9s an 10s.. if game informer gives it a good score i know its going to be good. BTW AvP was an awful game.
Game Informer can end a game with thier reviews their basically their the top reviewers I read thier article's and they put it to a science. The editor let's each reivewer keep their own reviews worded however they feel in the magazine (which is why back when they did the "second opinion" thing in older issues several gams had two widly different scores.)

I usually agree with ya joe,but I would rather have no AVP game rather than one that is just average,average games are almost as disapointing as bad games because it points out what "could" have been if a little extra effort was put in,a franchise like AVP deserves greatness and nothing less.I even wish those terrible movies had never been made.

Joe is absolutely right. Except for the first and third Alien movies there are always a ton of aliens. Hell there was even an entire town full of aliens. Aliens never attack an armed opponent straight on. They're all about stealth and crawling on walls and hiding on walls. And finally there's a reason Predators have that handy little cloaking device

IMO game informer has lost there credibility as game reviewers. One time too many they give low reviews to games that got higher reviews from others. Golden eye for the wii being one of them.

ONLY in the game industry (and some times movie) can get away with shoddy work and gamers/ movie goers will buy it up because they have no life away from a screen that flashes pictures at them. None of the reviewers truly reviewed the PC version other than IGN. Alot of them were copy and paste jobs of the console. PC version has tighter controls, smoother framerate, and DX11 enhanced graphics. IGN awards more points for the PC, and I'd say it's the only platform you should play this game on.

To me, it's a typical first person shooter to me with the introduction to stelth, To tell you the truth, I only played as the Marine and Preditor. I wasn't to impressed as I wasn't as shocked as I should've been.

Remember ye olde arcade game where you could play as Arnold ("Dutch" Schafer)? And he was a cyborg! Never understood why the machine gun built into his arm faces backwards, though. I guess because his primary attack was a Hellboy style fist and the machine gun was only a secondary attack (it played like Final Fight). Dutch was kinda like the AvP arcade game's equivalent to Mike Haggar (who looks exactly like Jesse Ventura, I might add).

Game Informer can end a game with thier reviews their basically their the top reviewers I read thier article's and they put it to a science. Ive seen G.I end a game remeber All points bulleten yeah the review of the game was so bad EA ended the online service. And this game really did deserve 5.75 it sucked ass!!!!

The editor let's each reivewer keep their own reviews worded however they feel in the magazine (which is why back when they did the "second opinion" thing in older issues several gams had two widly different scores.)
readers of magazines and webistes tend to gorget that thee writers are just human, and like any human they can only base how "good" somthing is off their personal opinion and experiances.

Joe is absolutely right. Except for the first and third Alien movies there are always a ton of aliens. Hell there was even an entire town full of aliens. Aliens never attack an armed opponent straight on. They're all about stealth and crawling on walls and hiding on walls. And finally there's a reason Predators have that handy little cloaking device

Yer i agree with u. the only thing that i find annoying though is on the alien campaign where u can barley ever use vents. and the ones u do use are either really short or u go backward into them and u cant do anything in them, where in the first 2 games, there were MILLIONS of vents u could go into. u even got to be a facehugger aswell!!!!

None of the reviewers truly reviewed the PC version other than IGN. Alot of them were copy and paste jobs of the console. PC version has tighter controls, smoother framerate, and DX11 enhanced graphics. IGN awards more points for the PC, and I'd say it's the only platform you should play this game on.

So true, great review. I bought this game yesterday because I love the movie franchise, and I wanted to see what DX11 had to offer on my Radeon HD5970. This game rocks. Who gives a crap what that reviewer thought, if you like the game, you continue playing it! To me, it's a typical first person shooter to me with the introduction to stelth, To tell you the truth, I only played as the Marine and Preditor. I wasn't to impressed as I wasn't as shocked as I should've been.
