surprisingly, at 0:45, the architect of Khmer palace looks so ... Chinese. Quite different from what I remembered when I was in Phnom Penh. I supposed different times mean different architects.
@greatheracle He doesn't look chinese to me. He wasn't supposed to be the guy who made them either just their king after the empire was already established.

@Halleygoswami Islam really didn't have anything to do with the fall of the Khmer empire. The state religion changed to Buddhism and they later suffered from ecological collapse and were invaded by the Vietnamese.
yet , its so sad to see how such a mighty empire and distinguished culture gave way to islam and lost most of their heritage within such a short time .!! hmmm..........................................
